This review confused me so much.. you are so reliable and respected I had to take in both reviews on your word . So.... review one .I had to buy them Review two. I sent them back unopened. Now I feel so much happier with merging both reviews on trust.
Saw you had a review and immediately got some, but after watching this I am sitting here with a pair of powered speakers listening to pink noise not knowing what I should drink with them.....
This video had good entertainment value! I think I understand the message. I think measurements are important for two reasons. First to help you understand where weaknesses may be and second can offer clues to why they exist. I consider measurements to be a sort of go/no go gauge. If measurements look bad I would stop there but if they appear good I would move on to more extensive listening tests, etc. I don’t believe measurements tell the whole story and of course people have different tastes in music much like fine wine. Then there is also trust and honesty issues to consider. Particularly with reviews that are more subjective without any scientific backing. Fun video!

I personally prefer the standard review as it gives the product a more glowing review and I only want to hear positive things, but it also runs in a lower framerate and worse video quality, which gives us the opportunity to concentrate on the audio more, the only important part anyway.
Shockingly it was the same mic. The first room was untreated, like most (not all) RUclips reviewers rooms. I’m glad you noticed the huge difference between nothing more than a room.
@@scientificaudiophile also don't your golden ears allow you to transcend the concept of time as a whole, allowing you to listen to speakers around 69x more effectively than regular people? You simply convert your listening time to our time so us plebians can comprehend.
I cannot imagine why you did not use Diane Bish asbyour sample music, her extensive catalog offers near limitless opportunity. *damn! Should finished the review before posting.
Can you imagine how many people over the years have bought an inferior product because they thought it was good? who have been robbed of that experience because a salesman who usually doesn't give a shit about quality has told them it was good? This stuff runs really deep with me. To the point where you basically can't trust any one, let alone an "influencer". I absolutely hate that expression, I do, but it's the truth. So many sheep willing to follow along because the person made them feel good and struck up a fake rapport with them. Honesty does not get you far in reviews. I know this personally, as I used to review computer games. It didn't last for long. You will get far less views by being honest, but those who do view you will appreciate you all the more, unless of course they get easily butt hurt. As a parting note for this comment, just imagine you spent 20 years listening to a pair of speakers you actually thought were good. Jesus.
I love your satire lol. I subscribed after watching just one video because they're that well made

The script for the Std review is a work of art! Well done!
I prefer raw honesty, albeit humored, so my vote is for the Scientific Audiophile style. 👍🍷
Both reviews were substandard, because neither included a wine rating. To me, it’s clear these speakers should get the Two Buck Chuck rating.
Sadly that was a huge omission. The truth is these would not have received a wine rating, but a Milwaukee’s Best rating.

Underrated channel
I want to see you banging it with OCD Mikey and Jay's Audio. Keep up the good work.
SA review is the way to go. We've had enough reviews from recovering, british, korean and german self called audiophiles.

Either review could confirm my findings
You needed more plants for the glamour shots 😂😂 Bravo!
Right!
could you help me tweak my speakers? whenever a rock is thrown it doesnt sound realistic!
You're going to want to add a one dB eq peaking filter at 2.7 khz. If that doesn't work, send a picture of the rock and we'll do an analysis.
I'm pretty sure bose and beats used a recording of a rock through a window to eq their products.
From an audiophile standpoint you should get rid of them and your edifier computer speakers and bring in the XTZ tune 4 audiophile desktop speakers
Unfixable? Add some Nordost cables. That will flatten right out.
I feel ashamed I didn’t think about that option. They would have been near perfect. It’s a shame I already sent them back.
I want YOU to be the standard thanks
Whatever format wins, you need you use the mic from the second video.
Shockingly it was the same mic. The first room was untreated, like most (not all) RUclips reviewers rooms. I’m glad you noticed the huge difference between nothing more than a room.
I can’t believe what hearing!
Is no one gonna talk about how your "600hr" listening time would require him to listen to these speakers as a full time job for 4 months?
Exactly right, but that’s normally 600 hours. As I said in the video I only listened to these for 75 hours.

@@Jack-oc2fc that's especially applicable between 20 kHz and 60kHz, where Scientific Audiophile does his most critical listening.
how is distortion measured?

Tell your mum not to be such a Debbie Downer. Bricks cost at least $2 each. With enough you can build her an annexe.
"Thank God for china's child labor laws." Lol
LOL!!
