We are going on our first cruise and have loved watching your travel vlogs. Quick question- how long does it typically take to get your DI charm? Is there a wait? Seems like a fun thing to collect but curious how it goes in practice.
Thanks so much! Hope you have an amazing cruise!! We've never had to wait for the charms. You just go in the store and ask them where you get the charms, and they're pretty used to the drill. They usually just hand them out all around... I've gotten several charms and don't even have a bracelet, ha ha... it's fun!! :D
Mahogany Beach is free when visiting Carnival's port in Roatan, you just show your ship card and boom, free chairs, free beach... we love it! It's about a 5-minute walk from the main shopping area, or you can pay something like $14/pp for an all-day pass to take the flying chairs over, but we've never done that.
Hey it's me your new best friend Blair and once again another great video. I cannot wait until I get to go to Mahogany Bay Roatan. I am actually going to be doing the extreme zip lining, so looking forward to it, it's going to be awesome okay that part!*🛳️⚓💙
ParoDeeJay You know I have a quick question because a lot of the ports that I will be going to in September you guys have been too. So I'm hoping you can answer this question basically I was watching this video and I noticed you guys went to the free beach in Mahogany Bay. Now on Carnival's website under excursions they offer a beach package for $50 so am I to understand correctly that I don't have to purchase that beach Excursion. I can actually go on the beach for free. Now I do realize with the beach Excursion for $50 we get a canopy and two chairs and two floating devices and unlimited rides on the chair lift, but honestly we don't need that we can just sit in the regular chairs without the canopy and we don't need the floaties devices and we can also walk okay just saying. I am so glad I saw this video because I was under the impression that I have to purchase the $50 Beach Excursion, but watching your video I am assuming that I do not have to do that. So I can do what you guys did and just go to the beach for free. Also to piggyback on this question is it possible to go to the beach for free in Grand Cayman, because in Grand Cayman we are going to be doing this land and sea bus tour. So afterwards we were going to walk around on the beach for a while so I'm hoping we can walk around on the beach for free, just like you did in Mahogany Bay. Now of course in Belize City it won't matter because we are going to be doing that Excursion that will take pretty much all day going to the Mayan ruins and the speed boat ride on the river. Then in Cozumel we are going to this all-inclusive Beach Resort so that's covered, so basically the question is can we go to the beach for free in Mahogany Bay and Grand Cayman? So I would appreciate it if you can give me an answer back and thank you so much I really do appreciate it, and remember I'm a really big fan and your new best friend Blair okay that part!*🛳️⚓💙🤣
The beach at Mahogany is absolutely free to use. I saw the package available through Carnival, but it's not necessary to purchase. The chair lift is something like $13 per person, which feels overpriced to us, but it's only about a 5 minute walk down to the beach, and it's a pretty little walkway through the palm trees so we don't mind it at all. The chairs at the beach are free, but you don't get umbrellas or shade covers, but there are several sections with trees right there and natural shade. Plus, we're usually in the water anyway and not concerned with shade. So there's not a bit of money required for your Mahogany day. We've been there twice and loved it!! Grand Cayman is a little different, and we haven't found any sort of beach that you can walk to from the ship dock area. You could catch a cheap cab over to a beach, but we really haven't explored that option much yet. We've done a couple of city tours and things around Grand Cayman, but that's about it so far. So if you've got some sort of inexpensive excursion in mind for Grand Cayman, that's a good port to have something pre-planned.
Thanks so much!! We've already got our 2018 plans laid out for the Pride this month, Grandeur of the Seas in May, and Horizon twice in November. We hope to maybe make it onto the Dream in February of next year though. Sorry we missed you this time around! Glad to hear you're enjoying our silly videos though!! :D
I liked Dee's salary salad. Very salady. Also, again, having experience, getting from deck 1-10 is a MIRACLE. I wish I had the luck to do that...
She's all about some salady salad!! And yes, I think our super-cruiser status gets us priority elevator access, haaah... :P

Hey new fan! Love the videos!
Question... is this a excursion or is it close to the cruise port. How much is it?

You seem to have quite a few cruises on floor one. Any special reason?
Midship on deck one tends to be the least motion overall, plus least cost!! :D
Roatan 😒place to snorkel, always cloudy
