I just finished a Carnival cruise with a stop at Mahogany Bay. It is pretty because it’s owned by Carnival. No other cruise ships are allowed to dock there. I do encourage everyone to venture away from the port and experience the real Roatan. We hired a taxi driver to take us around the island. Souvenir prices away from the port were much more reasonable and sold by locals who could not afford to set up shop in the port. It was my favorite port on the cruise. I wish I could of spent more time there. Happy Cruising!
I'm glad it helped. I recently returned to Mahogany Bay and a new video should be up in a couple weeks answering some questions people had about the beach area
Thank you much for this review. My son and I will be there in March. Would you suggest bringing a life vest for the beach drop off. My son and can swim, but thinking safety. How much was the blue Lagoon?
I think if he can swim you may be OK, but better to have one just in case. I am not sure about the cost for Blue Lagoon, I will be back there in 2 weeks so I will find out for you
Went to mahogany bay and grabbed a sketchy taxi to some bad part of the island and picked up a huge bag of dirt weed, almost got killed in the process. Did the farm/zoo thing with the monkeys and birds and stuff. Had a good time but it wasn’t my favorite port. Seems like there is very little to do in all honesty. Excursions are very limited compared to other destinations. The beach seems to be the main attraction because there isn’t much else lol
All the chairs are free that don't have a clamshell on it. You can also rent an umbrella for the day to have at your chairs. I will be back there in less than 2 weeks so will do a detailed video on all the rental costs

@@LoriMyers-j1t yes it was when I was there. I don't know what it is like now

This is all I needed to know lmao 😂 I would've done the same

We’ll be here in 2 more weeks on the Carnival celebration. Can’t wait to make some videos of this place.
So will I, also on the Celebration!
@@TheTravelLifeMama I subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good videos👍
Are the chairs very low. I have knee problems and cant sit on low chairs
They are pretty much the same as the other cruise ports. They are not too low, I also have knee problems and I didn't have a problem with them
If you check out my other Mahogany Bay video I show some more of the chairs
Do you know if kids’ life vests are available at the beach or can they be taken off the ship (if they have them?)
Yes there were life vests available to rent at the beach
Love the videos
Question - did you use your sail and sign card for purchases at Mahogany Bay or did you use cash? Thanks! We'll be there the first week in April.
No I do not believe you can use your sail and sign card on MB, cash and credit only
Did you take the towels from the cruise ship to the beach?
Yes we did
@@TheTravelLifeMama thanks love 🙂
I will be going here next January. Where would we go to get our passports stamped?
There is a tourist information booth near the taxis that can stamp your passport
I collect Christmas ornaments at each port. I will be at Mahogany Bay in May 2025
Mahogany Bay is definitely one of my favourite ports
So not really much to do other than relax at the beach. Hopefully my crew will want to play some volleyball.
There are restaurants and bars and shopping. Sometimes the bar at the end of the path on the beach has live music.
Happy Birthday Charles🎉
@laketalangley820 aww thanks for remembering. I wish I was home with him for his birthday but my sons spoiled him!
