Maybe you’re supposed to use that map to find the flavor?
Its a blend of canadian light whiskey and barton. It should be like $15
Yeah doing my mental math on the marketing vs the ingredients and the color that stands basically exactly right. That is some prop-looking booze.
@@jcarry5214yeah very light in color, but not that far off from buffalo trace. It’s just a sweet foreward whiskey with no after, not good for bourbon drinkers and definitely not worth the price
@@Deezfuggin lol gross.
Yeah I'm guessing the Canadian Whiskey is Canadian Mist since that's owned by them
It almost tastes like a grain neutral blend. But that's probably the Canadian.
There’s about 15,000 cases of this stuff getting shipped out. Don’t think the secondary will last much longer
I think the smell flavor disparity could be bc he’s sober.... he probably smelled it and said perfect.
I don't understand why anybody is freaking out about this. It's not even BT distillate, and it was put out by a guy who is sober. This whole bottle is weird to me.
Every single review and post I’ve seen about this bottle has shit all over it 🤣
Thanks! Glad I passed on it today…suspected Benchmark was a better value!
Probably doesn't help most of the blend is Canadian whisky and then mixed with Barton lmao.
It's Canadian Mist with a cowboy hat on. Seriously go get a plastic handle of Canadian Mist.. it's like $20, same stuff. Makes a good mixer.
I like Chris, I will look for this, but it seems like we have a case of "on eBay asking..." vs "recently sold for..."
That was awesome Dan! You need to do more of those!
Secondary?? It’s literally everywhere for $35-40🤣💀
They were on secondary for 125 yesterday lol... Wild...
😮@@BourbonJunkies
Its is every grocery store around her in LA. I got one for $36. If I knew it had canadian whiskey in it I would not have bought it.
@@BourbonJunkies That is wild 🤣🤣💀
Exactly my thoughts when I tried it tonight lol
I was in Kroger today, they had probably 10 cases on the floor and were pushing it. Yes, at MSRP. I did not buy.
Dont bother If I knew it was blended with canadian whiskey I would not have bought it.
I don't mind it, but I can find it sitting on the shelf at msrp everywhere
Secondary price…? Where. It’s all over the place at retail.
Right
A week ago it wasn’t and people were paying secondary.
I saw some people buy it for $125 in a group lol
Hey if you want a bottle. I’ll send you one for 125 all day lol
Every liquor store on Tampa Bay has this stuff now for $40
"it's listen on gunbroker for 65,000 dollars per case, 500 per unit is a steal, no haggling."
This is Dans best review ever !!!!
I can get two bottles of top floor, which is the best benchmark, for the same price as this whiskey and it has drastically more flavor. It’s a bad value at $40.
Top Floor is good at it's price.
I get top floor for 13 per bottle, I’ll happily take 3 of those first
Full proof>
Bonded is the Best Benchmark
@@ebunch1911 agree to disagree
Another RUclipsr said he’s heard it’s mostly Canadian with some Barton mixed in, curious if that matches the taste big D got.
Canadian would fit the profile. If there's barton it's so buried in there you can't even tell.
Its canadian light whiskey and barton
Makes sense. BT bottles Caribou Crossing. 🤔
@@ZaysTitan sazerac has like 6 canadian brands
You do realize that Stapleton COVERED "Tennessee Whiskey", right...?
Did anyone say any different?
Hi, that guy.
"Geography is not my forte."
I’ve seen several reviews, and all have said to go with Benchmark as it’s better at half the cost.
Powerful flavors up front, stupid smooth and warm in the end. Don’t buy it leave it on the shelves!!!!
Some day this will be the Elmer that people cut their teeth on and wasn’t really thought of as crazy special in 2017 but it’ll be worth $250 somehow in four years…..nahhh probably not lol
Hahahaha probably not...
MPG?
for sale at walmart for $40, plenty on the shelf and no demand in sight lol
Someone tell me where I can find a barrel king at?
So you're saying I should be flipping this shit on secondary... There's two stores near me that have stackers of them for $36 each lol
No
Yeah, go buy 'em all up, see how that works for you, lol. "Not financial advice"
Thanks for the warning 😅
Secondary has already crashed on this one. I see them going for MSRP already.
Gotta love it. I do, anyway, let them sit on all the bottles they hoarded.
I paid 32 and I thought it was excellent im a higher proof fan but this was good for the price.
Shout out David Alan Coe.
It’s just bartstown and 1792 with a bit of Kentucky gentleman. Not horrible and great for a “blended whiskey” people need to stop trashing something that is not a whiskey or a bourbon. Blended…..
Ok..i know im in the minority..i know i know but....i like it!..it could use more flavor i agree...but its an easy sipper and i like it. 🥃🥃
I bought two bottles at MSRP the week after it hit shelves. It's good, not great. No way in hell I would pay secondary prices.
I just had a pour of this a few minutes ago. Nose is pleasant, agreed, but I'm sorely disappointed in the palate. EVERY Benchmark smokes this hard. This is gonna be demoted to deglazing my skillet. I paid 35ish plus tax (TX)
Any truth to the blend being Very Old Barton and a Canadian?
It doesn't say anything anywhere so everyone is guessing at this point.
Its correct
@@LeatherDaddy97 that’s what I’ve heard but haven’t read that anywhere
Drinkin Dark Whiskey, Tellin White Lies!
I felt it was to light on flavor, to low on proof short finish and falls flat 🤷♂️
I thought it tasted like straight flowers. Like chewing up flowers.
Its not actually Buffalo Trace, blend of some Canadian whiskey which im guessing is Canadian Mist and Old Barton.
Also Chris Stapleton probably didn't even drink it. Hes gone sober
Buying someone who is sober whiskey is like buying a combustion engine from Elon Musk
Drain pour
I'm still trying to find the flavor a week later
Hows the eric church one ?
It very good Jack Daniels church but prices are not good
Eric Church's is good, but over priced.
Hard to justify a high price when the jack barrel.proof or the barrel proof rye is so darn good, the barrel proof rye is a bit pricey but wow!!
What glass is that your drinking form
Whiskey wisdom
Better than standard BT?
Nope
I actually loved it. It was smooth and sippable.
not good. should have left it as just a song
You didn’t flip the bottle 😢
It's average at best. I got at retail but will not pay 2ndary.
They lost me at celebrity whiskey. If they’d called it Buffalo Buffalo Trace Trace and asked $40 they prolly woulda gotten me but tell me a country singer has something to do with it and I’m out
An American country singer who doesn't drink pushing Canadian whisky. Wtf, Sazerac? 🤣
Thank you for saying like it is which is Crap.
It’s a bargain whisky.
Its a bargain whiskey at triple the price
Wanted to be a Traveller - ended being a Tourist.
Exactly what I thought it would be like 😂 Celebrity whiskey is gimmick bullshit. Celebrities that don't know shit about REAL whiskey/bourbon, why would we think they would be good at picking/blending whiskey? Betchu they just was something to shoot. Betchu that's their metric for whiskey. And I like him as an artist, not interested in "his" whiskey.
LOL, celebrity whiskeys.
It’s weird how Chris Stapleton is sober but puts his name and supposedly tasting skills to this product …. Smells like a money grab to me and a bunch of BS …the juice is more than likely sourced from other than BT ,,, Canadian and Barton I’ve heard….do better
Google it, see what pop up
If people are paying secondary for this I give up...
this is just bourbon in general, maybe finally people will realize they are getting screwed on every purchase.
How does he know if it’s good he doesn’t drink
Finally first
Isn’t Stapleton sober? Isn’t that sort of ironic?
Too thin, and the thinness is not holding up the finish well enough with rye spice . Will pass on this
Blended whiskey, always mostly is for amateurs
I bought some and I'm not impressed.
Celebrity alcohol usually sucks
Nope it's not, not even at msrp..might be an okay mixer at 19.99
It's horrible everyone in line everywhere says it sucks
Tennessee whiskey? You mean bourbon??
So unclear, didn’t get his point at the end 😮
A lot like what I'm hearing about the whisky
The front end of that whiskey is non-existent
When I tried it, it was so blah.
🤣🤣🤣🤫
Ur right its not that good at all
Brah, you sounded too cocky in vid….
When it's so bad that you have to have a celebrity sell it!
Shame on you buffalo trace.
Stapleton dosnt even drink too
Let it sit for a week after opening. Makes a world of difference
Yea, letting the alcohol evaporate is ruining it.
Not great. That’s for sure.
It's sucks I had it
No. The answer is no.
It’s garbage. I love his music, but this shouldn’t have taken place. It’s disappointing that the majority of this blend is Canadian whiskey.
not worth the money.
Yea but what milk do you drink on a regular basis
It tastes like shit. I tried it last week.
man its bad dont waste your money smh
Actually "Tennessee whiskey" was originally performed by David allan coe back in the 80s
He wasn’t the first.
@adamr9215 it was literally written for David Allen Coe for his album in 1981. Then George Jones then finally stapelton. Many artists, whether big or small, have done covers, but David Allen Coe was the first artist to perform/record the song.
🤮
No, it’s shit
