I say "Job well done!" to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center for bringing these two stories to life. It's amazing how Mr. Northup and Mr. Prum's lives were so similar though they lived over a century apart in different parts of the world. Thank you for being committed to freeing those who have been enslaved as well as telling their stories. Keep up the good work!

Slavery was an unholy abomination and sin on this country. We will pay for it forever unless we all learn to respect each other and admit the wrong doing of our founders.

Well, okay, no. It was the term they used to call the walk to freedom to hide what it actually meant from the slavers. Why they called people running back and forth grabbing slaves and taking them to freedom conductors, and the slaves they were freeing passengers. Safe houses, churches, different buildings were set up all over the routes to help aid the slaves running.
