Does nothing don't bother says the request failed due to a fatal device hardware error when trying to initialized. I believe Microsoft updates did something to deliberately wipe everything and do something.
the problem appear after an windows update, ''cos i check the HDD on another laptop which doesn't have the windows update and HDD works normal so, ive uninstall the last update and also the wd security (for my book). Ive reinstalled the WD Security, and it works now.
I downloaded a bad torrent to my external drive(easystore wd passport 1tb). Now it says not initialized, unknown, and 0kb. I've tried literally everything. Any ideas? None of these steps helped.

Clickbait, waste of money. Dont download or pay for it. Even after recovery it shows you the file size but you cant open it or see. So dumb. Literal waste of money.

It stuck while recovering and give me nothing. Then I tried Aomei it's better for me.
Was there data loss or no?
Tried all and it's still not working... Used cmd to repair and it said "cannot open volume for direct access" what do I do please?

In the device manager, it detects it. But when in files, it does not. I do not care about losing the data on this drive. It's evidently fully updated
