I did everything you did, I got the same exact error messages ect, but I ended up at the same place with no solution. I could care less about the $100 hard drive , I just really can't lose these files. Is there anyway I can get them off the hard drive.
I have installed a second HDD but it is not shown in the 'list disk', but in Disk Management window, it is shown as Disk 0 Unknown Not Initialised. What should I do?

brother , am also having the same issue like Am unable to initialize my hdd. also can't create partition , it shows me the same error in the command prompt - data error ( cyclic redundancy check ). i have gone through all the above given procedures but still its same. what could you recommend ?

I put in the Commands as Adminstrator and received the same message you did (about encountering an error and needing to check the System Log). Do you have a video about what to do when that happens?

Yes, u can first attempt recovering ur data and then you can try repairing ur disk for safe side

1 - diskpart ✔️
2- list disks✔️
3-select disk 1 (in my case)✔️
4- clean (the disk has been cleaned successfully)✔️
5- create partition primary ✖️✖️✖️✖️ here I got the error of CRC and I can not go further..
And all you said to take the hdd to the workshop. Any ideas to solve this error problem

You get to Diskpart has encountered an error and u skipped and inserted disk 2 instead of Disk 1 u were working on. What’s the point of deceiving us ? I pray they read comments before watching full video
I found the solution to my problem, due to the system not letting me initialize my disk but it did recognized it... I had to download Easeus partition manager and unfortunately wipe the disk... but fortunately, I had just installed a game so no important files where missed. after that, all was normal again and no more errors showed when assigning the unit.
Is Easeus partition manager software FREE?

The fix for my problem was to download easus partition master (it has a free version), install then run it, then right click on the disk you're having trouble with and delete or "wipe" , unfortunately you have to delete all data on it... but it with get rid of the CRC issue.... Just so you know I had a bad installation process on my disk that gave my that CRC error...

in my case, I tried everything and nothing worked, from hd scan, to formatting the pc with linux and trying to format by boot, try these last options that for you I hope it works, unfortunately I keep trying...

Diskpart utility is the another way to sort out this issue, if u cant fix it using GUI. It the issues still persist, go for replacement.
So in other words you failed to fix it🤔

@@taratutorials8514 bro how can I even take backup? When I connect my hard drive to my pc it's telling "drive not initialize" and then when i try to initialize the drive either in MBR/GPT partition it's telling "virtual data error data check redundancy try again".

CRC error is a fatal error and it needs to be dealt with Hit n Try method only. I havnt done any shortcuts
