You should've swapped "B" and "X" so they match the actual layout of the GameCube controller. It sure is less confusing calling B just B but on the GameCube the B button is on the right side, not on the left one.

If you're having trouble getting the UI to recognize your inputs, try setting it to Device to XInput/0/Gamepad then clicking OK until all the dialogs are closed, then start again. That let me configure the sticks.

I was having the same problem. I was trying to runthe wii version of twilight princess - no luck. HOWEVER, using this same mapping route, the gamecube version of the game seems to accomodate an xbox controller with no problem :)
That's good for the GameCube but I need to configure my Xbox controller to work for the WII its very frustrating no one has any good Tutorials on RUclips for it could someone please help find one

What is the purpose of the modifier?

My suggestion: spend that $20-$30 and get a Wii controller set because it’s plug and play with no tingling and 70% of wii games required motion. Also get a $20 Mayflash sensor bar and you’ll have a complete Wii system set up on your pc.

This is the best tutorial I have seen on youtube. You are a true saint my friend.
That's right but no enough.If you want to calibrate xbox (for me te bes controller) or any controller to wii games you have to go to wi remote1 / chose xinput joystick to map oystick keys (A,B,1,2 -+), but analogue joystick plays if you go to extend menu and map there the stick and then you calibrate.Finally you have to go to motion simulation (cause you canot run games without moving the cursor) and in the second that says point you calibrate the 2nd analoggue stick (you can move it as mouse or to aim in games).It takes me one day to find it and it finally worked...:)) if you want to shoot with scandal just change a or b key that usually shoots with triger key..

that's cool because my dad is making a new PC for me and I want to download a GameCube emulator and I was curious if you can use other controllers with the dolphin emulator since I don't own a GameCube controller so thank you this helps me a lot.

One thing that sucks is that trigger sensitivity is needed in some games, especially Mario Sunshine. Dolphin doesn't support this

So I’m having trouble connecting my steel series nimbus, I know it’s MFI but it’s recognised by the emulator in the drop down bar but doesn’t recognised any buttons pressed? Also does this work with any cheap usb controllers?

they got default bindings for keyboard so the fact that they don't for controller is extremely baffling to me
Tried this with a very new Xbox controller, It would sense the inputs but only when you configured that specific input, essentially they wouldn't "keep". Luckily I found a cheap knockoff xbox controller laying around, But you can always but a gamecube controller with a USB input, if you still have the ISO's for the games that is...

Where is the select button placed?
I have a question, I am using the newest dolphin emulator and trying to play Twin Snakes but a problem is that whenever I move the analog stick NorthEast, the character moves very slowly, but in any other direction the character runs and I am trying to find a fix to this as its very problematic whenever I have ot fight an enemy in the North East direction.
Any settings for input sensitivity?

Works perfectly for a ps4 ds4 controller to as long as you have to xbox 360 driver, and a ds4 driver running in the background.

Is it an Xbox One controller or 360 controller? Xbox One controllers can connect to PC with just a micro-USB cable, you don't need a wireless adapter for them if you don't want one

Thanks for the awesome tutorial man. I was having troubles with my left analog stick when i walk down in a game, my character walks up, if i don't hold the stick all the way down but down just slightly the character moves down, if i go any further down than 50% or so my characters moves up. Any ideas how to fix this, the other buttons work fine, just this one is giving me grief :) thanks
I've managed to resolve the issue, apparently it was due to the deadzone of the stick not being accurate enough, thanks though :)

I don't know why, but I was trying my Xbox 360 Wireless controller (I've played countless other games with this just fine), and in Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii on Dolphin, the game was loading and running just fine. Just my keyboard, controller...nothing activated the emulator. I don't know why this is and I was pressing practically every button and checking all the settings, but I don't know anything new yet :/ I was hoping maybe you'd know what this is and maybe how to fix it? :)

Moorkor Lol, I figured out that the problem was I also had to edit controls for the Emulated Wiimote since it was a Wii game. Oops. Thanks for trying to help :)
