Women have had the entirety of human history to prove they are just as good as or better at protecting, provisioning, providing, leading, competing for and managing a society's resources. They could have located an empty space on the globe and built Themyscira. However, women saw how dangerous the world is and voluntarily elected to stay under the leadership of men.
They also mad that, women have people that genuinely care about them, enough to help them. When they fall on hard time.
