@Saeda88 above this, losses doesn't need to be an actual loss. It can be a point within a game where you were raided and didn't expect it, lost a big fight, or even just didn't have the resources for that knight transition when you needed them. Win or lose, it's still good to analyse these things.
He chops the tree while the boar is being brought in but he doesn't drop off the wood before sending the vils to boar. In other words, the vils weren't idle but the resources weren't collected either :/
@@freedomhonkhonk5169 Villagers physically carry resources that they gather in batches. It starts at 10 resources as the max a villager can carry (this is increased by upgrades). The game does not allow a villager to carry two separate resources at the same time. When villagers gather one resource (ex. wood) but then swap to a different resource (ex. food) , the original resource (wood) is lost. This is because the amount of resources being carried is Reset and NOT Tallied. The only way to keep the wood originally gathered, the villager has to first Drop Off that resource manually to a town center or lumber camp. So 5 wood and 5 food can NOT be carried together. yeah they do lose. however, if they build a lumber camp first, they don't (villagers finishing mills/folwarks, mining camps, lumber camps, docks, TCs and farms drop whatever res they're holding into the stockpile)
not really. If you send them to the wood, nothing happens, but as soon as them touch the tree, you loose the food. Like in the video, there is one time the 1100 player gather wood when he ran out of animal, he use the lumberjacks to kill the boar, it's totally ok, even the wood still on vils' hands on the way they move to the dead boar, but as soon as they touch the dead boar, the wood disappears.

@@matthewmcneany Okay, I imagine that's not a big requirement. Still, I play the game all the time and I played some competitive games in March and now in October, so...
I am sorry, I know you didn’t want to hear it, but I am the exact same Elo, so I play against 1200ish players all the time. I have NEVER encountered a 1200 player who rings the town bell or leaves a tile gap between the wood line and the lumber camp. My only explanation is that 1200 in EU is different from 1200 in the Americas… When I play late at night I face lots of players from SA, the matches are definitely different.
While the premise of the video is interesting, the chosen method is not good. Too many variables like distances to ressources, gathering rate of build order and reacting to opponents. Here is what i recommend to redo: get the mirror-map-pack for fair walking distance and building positioning. Challenge different ELO (them against each other or you against them). Further you could have no attack rules or drushs allowed to see how effektive idle time is due to falling apart from multitasking at different ELO. For keeping it accurate i recommend a buildorder that both have to follow or adding a multiplyer according to the gathering rate.
I'm too scared to play ranked, so I don't know my ELO. I played 2 games, and kept making so many terrible mistakes, so I just stopped (for now). At the time, I had only about 100 hours in the game. Now I have about 290 hrs. Maybe I need to try again... I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT "ELO" STANDS FOR!
The ELO is just a number that means where you are in the statistical distribution of all players (represented in a gaussian bell). The ELO is used to calculate “how likely is this player to win or lose against this player of X ELO?” and thus get players to play with people of a similar level to themselves. There is no reason to be afraid of rankeds, because after a certain amount of games, you will be able to establish your “real elo” and play with people with your skill level, where you will win and lose 50% of your games. It is normal to lose the first 10 qualifying games, they are matchmaking games to find your real ELO, don't be scared.
I'm 500 elo and there's no way the second guy is 2900

I am 15++ and still have a lot of idle tc
2645 res, low elo maths @Hera
camon Herardo, i'm 1100 and my games really are not like these.
besides the jokes, nice content!
The 1155 ELO puts you in the 69% (nice) percentile of players, so the top 30% effectively.
Of players who are actively playing online games though, which I think is a really, really low percentage.
@tomscorpion6288 iirc it's 10 total games and 1 in the last month (ish) to have a valid rating.
@@matthewmcneany Okay, I imagine that's not a big requirement. Still, I play the game all the time and I played some competitive games in March and now in October, so...
GOOD GAME
No way there is a difference in players 1700 elo apart from each other, must be troll vid
I do NOT appreciate Hera forcing me to practice!
Im 1000 elo, played 300-350 games…I always do 25 pop and go to fast castle, i do it like more than 50% all of the games, so i think I master it
Hera to try the Darkelf strat
I got 2419. And 2515 with deers
How to cancel bell ?
Ok but what do you do after this? LOL I’m totally lost
There is a difference?
I thought without headset is better haha feel like theres no need to wear a headset when playing aoe2 it only gives you a headache after while
My game is not exactly the same, because I personally prefer to lose at least one villager on a boar and scream in agony
looking back at a few of my games i am at 2550-2600 rss, i should be at 2800 , righttt? 🤨🤔🙃
