    The show was aired by CBC on 14 November 1976, under the title Oscar Peterson: Very Special.

    All of these men are so talented and great playing their specialty, but my favorite is Oscar. I had no
    idea that this man could sing so seductively and play the piano so sweetly!. What a man. He left

    Always one of the highlights of JATP concerts were the introductions by Norman Granz.

    I did some digging too.. i found out that there are odds and ends from at least till 1981... I wish he lived longer...

    This is davidhazard71 on an alternate account.. i heard the Anita ODay Concert at Carnegie Hall 1985 with Roy... yes he waa active in the 80s but i read by the time he did the Carnegie Hall concert he was no longer able to play trumpet... Thanks so much

      I think before his death at times he played drums, which he had started to play at the age of six

    Norman Granz was the none playing part of Jazz Philharmonic. The way he grooved while doing the introduction. He was part of the band.
