0:00 - 7:10: The most beautiful melodies ever Elderly person who stumbled on this video: oh this is very pleasant, I think I'll nap to this... 7:11: YAAAAAAGGHHHHH!!!!!
This video got me wondering just how much of 'Morningrise' is actually acoustic. As it turns out, that answer is 'almost half'. Details below... *1. Advent (46.3% of **13:45**)* - Acoustic: 6:22 - Distorted: 7:23 _(18, 11, 46.5, 3, 8.5, 5, 79, 11, 38, 162 = 382)_ _ *2. The Night and the Silent Water (44.1% of **10:59**)* - Acoustic: 4:51 - Distorted: 6:08 _(3, 7, 130, 119, 32 = 291)_ _ *3. Nectar (30.2% of **10:09**)* - Acoustic: 3:04 - Distorted: 7:05 _(19, 9, 27, 7, 101, 7, 14 = 184)_ _ *4. Black Rose Immortal (42.3% of **20:14**)* - Acoustic: 8:34 - Distorted: 11:40 _(22, 3, 57, 5, 205, 127, 95 = 514)_ _ *5. To Bid You Farewell (79.4% of **10:55**)* - Acoustic: 8:40 - Distorted: 2:15 _(425, 3, 92 = 520)_ Based on this criteria, the ‘most Metal’ track is ‘Nectar’, and the ‘least Metal’ one (apart from ‘To Bid You Farewell’) is ‘Advent’. The album is 47.7% acoustic (31:31 of 66:02). Apart from the 7:05 long sequence at the start of ‘To Bid You Farewell’, the longest acoustic part on the album is the mid-section of ‘Black Rose Immortal’ (from 8:55), at 3:25 long. So, I learned that almost half of this album is acoustic. It was cool to learn something new about an album that I know back-to-front, and I hope this was interesting for you too. I'm gearing up to perform a guitar cover video (with tabs) of 'Black Rose Immortal', and if that goes well, the rest of the album, so this kind of analysis gives me a sense of what to expect. (Note: Where a section has one distorted and one acoustic guitar playing at the same time (e.g. ‘The Night and the Silent Water’ at 0:40), I split the time 50/50 between acoustic and distorted. The voice-only section in ‘Black Rose Immortal’ was counted as acoustic. Breaks after distorted sections are marked as distorted and breaks after acoustic sections are marked as acoustic.)
Opeth In the name of desperation I call your name A lamentation I sigh Again and again Spiritual eclipse The gateways are closed for me to seek The night A veil of stars, watching My shadow is born from light The light of the eye, in darkness Over troubled waters memories soar Endlessly, searching night and day The moonlight caresses a lonely hill With the calmness of a whisper I wear a naked soul A blank face in the streaming water It is cold in here Frost scar my coat with dust Eyes attach to your mute portrait We spoke only through thoughts Together we gazed, awaited Hours brought thirst and the rising sun Sunbirds leave their dark recesses Shadows glide the archways Do not turn your face towards me Confronting me with my loneliness You are in a forest unknown The secret orchard And your voice is vast and achromatic But still so precious Lullaby of the crescent moon took you Mesmerized, its kaleidoscopic face Granted you a hollow stare Another soul within the divine herd I have kept it The Amaranth symbol Hiddin inside the golden shrine Until we rejoice in the meadow Of the end When we both walk the shadows It will set ablaze and vanish Black rose immortal It is getting dark again Dusk shuffle across the fields The evening trees moan as if they knew At night I always dream of you
It's a guitar with an effect. Sounds like something Yngwie has used on his albums if you're familiar with him. Can't conjure up any specific song, unfortunatley. If & when I remember, I will write an edit with said song & part of the song.

This song is the most integrated song that i will ever hear
Opeth
In the name of desperation
I call your name
A lamentation I sigh
Again and again
Spiritual eclipse
The gateways are closed for me to seek
The night
A veil of stars, watching
My shadow is born from light
The light of the eye, in darkness
Over troubled waters memories soar
Endlessly, searching night and day
The moonlight caresses a lonely hill
With the calmness of a whisper
I wear a naked soul
A blank face in the streaming water
It is cold in here
Frost scar my coat with dust
Eyes attach to your mute portrait
We spoke only through thoughts
Together we gazed, awaited
Hours brought thirst and the rising sun
Sunbirds leave their dark recesses
Shadows glide the archways
Do not turn your face towards me
Confronting me with my loneliness
You are in a forest unknown
The secret orchard
And your voice is vast and achromatic
But still so precious
Lullaby of the crescent moon took you
Mesmerized, its kaleidoscopic face
Granted you a hollow stare
Another soul within the divine herd
I have kept it
The Amaranth symbol
Hiddin inside the golden shrine
Until we rejoice in the meadow
Of the end
When we both walk the shadows
It will set ablaze and vanish
Black rose immortal
It is getting dark again
Dusk shuffle across the fields
The evening trees moan as if they knew
At night I always dream of you
So fucking beautiful that I fell asleep to it. Good job dude \m/
Did you wake up to it at the end 🤩😂

Bellos.
0:27 What is that instrument?
Guitar.. with processor i think.
Could be a guitar with a tremolo effect applied to it
It's a clean electric guitar with tremolo and delay
It's a guitar with an effect. Sounds like something Yngwie has used on his albums if you're familiar with him. Can't conjure up any specific song, unfortunatley. If & when I remember, I will write an edit with said song & part of the song.
