It still haunts him and I feel his pain the same as when I heard about it back in the early eighties when I was playing his albums on vinyl. This song, though is his standing in a mirror and saying "Damn it's been a hell of a ride, and I am thankful for every moment". We love him because he's genuine, he's John "Ozzy" Osborne. Titan of Metal.
@@w7class Surprisingly, the usual "old people" things (back problems, respiratory problems, Parkinson's, etc...). I say surprising considering the absolute fuck-ton of drugs he's done over his life somehow didn't kill him long ago. And now Ozzy's said he's "Not happy...", "Doesn't have his health anymore."
Ozzy, I know you don’t actually read this, but I’m more proclaiming to the universe. This week I’ve found out that my dad has lymphatic cancer and his doctors said he only has 1-3 years max to live. I’m 22 but by the time I’m 25 it’s almost certain I won’t have a father anymore. Growing up you were his favorite singer and in turn you were mine too. Whenever I hear your songs, I’ll always think of my dad, and this song will always mean a lot to me. I know he’s not gone yet, but he’ll always be there in my heart. He’s had a good life but it’s ending too short. He won’t die an ordinary man. I would have loved to see you in concert here in Milwaukee the last two years at Summerfest but it wasn’t in the universe’s plans since both of your concerts here were canceled. I was going to go with my dad to see you since you’re his favorite. Dear friend, stay safe and stay healthy Ozzy.
Patrick Dougherty I can relate to that. My grandpa passed away from cancer 11 years ago. He wasn’t my real grandpa, my grandma got married to him when my mom was pregnant with me. But I grew up with him and my grandma cause my mom had to go to another country to provide for the family and my education. He basically substituted my dad who I saw once a year for couple of days even though he lived a 2 hour ride from his place far. My grandpa is responsible for moral standards I have both as a human being and a man. He didn’t listen to Ozzy but he actually bought me my first tape player and couple of cassettes he thought I would like. One of them was Ozzy’s “Bark at the Moon” album. That’s where my rock/metal journey began. I was 5 yrs old when he bought me those for my birthday. He’s been gone for 11 years now (I’m 26) and I still miss him a lot. And every time I listen to Ozzy - I think about my granddad. I know the feeling oh so well and I just wanted to say I feel for you. Hold on there buddy and cherish every moment you have with him. Make him feel loved and needed.
Man I’m praying for your dad and your family, just spend as much time with your dad as possible. Keep your head up brother, I’m 23 and I can’t imagine hearing that news. Peace and love from Nashville tn
Hey Bro, I lost my parents a few years ago. Reading your words I can´t avoid feeling sad. But at the same time I can tell you: enjoy yours everyday, thank to the sky for having them and continue with their love in your heart!

#1 on my bucket list is to meet Ozzy. I have hid in my closet listening to the Blizzard of Ozz. While my father and mother fought. Ozzy always calmed down the insanity
These new Ozzy songs, especially this one, are almost hard to watch. Im 53, grew up with Sabbath, Ozzy and that era. Ive seen Ozzy multiple times in concert. On one hand, I love his heavier music. On the other, some of this new stuff is some of the best. BUT, what saddens me is there is a deep undertone to this of saying goodbye. I know OZ has had med issues and all in recent years, and it's well documented that he probably is a medical wonder surviving the substances over the years. And Of course, he is aging as the rest of us. I get all that, I see it and all, but hard to hear someone recording what sounds like goodbye letters. Be well OZ! Thank you for so much great music!!!! Also, the song itself resonates with me deeply. Again, Im 53, health issues, Mom/dad/only brother and my only son are all gone. I struggle with my mortality alot anymore as I had such big dreams and all, and feel Ive achieved so little. So, the song itself speaks to me deeply as well. tear jerker
Well the good news is you have your extended family here, all of us love ozzman, and we never wont. I wish you as much love and peace a stranger on yt can man.
I'm 52. Ever since I was 9rs old listening to Sabbath I Thank My Dad & his record collection. Then seeing Ozzy live & how his music has touched my life.Through Ups & Downs I feel ya.
Your life most likely had paramount moments. All the ups and downs are hard. I've had much loss as well and am not healthy. I blew off a chance to sign with someone in the 70s. Promoter heard me and wanted me to sing 2 songs acapella on a tape. I never did it! Life never feels like you accomplished anything as you get older. My love and hugs to you my friend. Look for the pearls, they will be there.
I love this song I think my new very fav, fav. I know how he feels though. And I'm afraid of the same thing. I will die the day I wake up and find out that he has left us!
Tell ya right now, as older man, I find this song very inspirational, I’m a mid 50s male from the 80’s and between my better half raising my grandson, with minimal support from the parents, always remember, lives are about how you help the next generation and how you can make others better
- To sit and watch a 5-minute recap of your own life in your later years has got to be one of the most humbling and difficult things to experience... One thing's for certain, you will not leave this world as an ordinary man...
Honestly it’s everyone’s life in one man... we admire Ozzy cause he lived one part of our life in his and thus why even me get those chills...... plus some of the concerts 2 I see here I been there (: so in a way I’m part of this video lol
Ozzy has amazing power. If you think about it. More people will listen to him, than the president. I think he realized this later in his career and used his music to heal troubled souls. This man will never run out of life events to sing about. He can move me emotionally. If music can move you emotionally, then it's something you'll return to get that feeling. Ozzy for President!!!
Grown ass man in my late 50s sitting here all teared up after watching this. What an amazing video and what an amazing man. He's everything but ordinary. I've loved him since the beginning
It was actually Kellys' idea. Whilst writing this piece Ozzy told Sharon it sounded like an Elton John song. She asked "I wonder if he would sing it". Now we have the end result which is amazing, but had no influence other than Ozzy and Kelly approaching him
@@sorooshkianmehr2024 The pilot who was also bands bus driver was flying with small plane just above the bus, in which Ozzy, other group members and Sharon were asleep, apparently in attempt to prank them or wake them up, he flew too low and possibly clipped the bus, lost control and crashed to a tree, killing pilot, Randy Rhoads and a cook for the band.
I will be 73 soon. I found Ozzy and Black Sabbath in about 1975. Some of the darkest days of my life. I loved your music. I also loved Sharon. Then I found your children, what a treat! I enjoy your travels with Jack! Wonderful show! Your music has lasted. You have lasted! Sharon has lasted! Your children are doing well! Nothing ORDINARY about THAT! May GOD bless you all.

Tbh I think ozzy is more of a mentality then a actual person I mean ozzy osbourne is a guy but just ozzy seems more like a lifestyle at this point to do what you want when you want and not give a fuck who you piss off and deal with the consequences later but ozzy osbourne will never be a ordinary man ever again he's past legendary level he is the God of rock
I’m a grown man in my 30s and this song has me in tears. I was 6 when I heard my first sabbath song and decided to pick up the guitar, I made friends who wore dark shirts and enjoyed Oz. We all wrote Ozzy’s home back when internet was dial up; we had found his residence through att we sent so many letters that the great Ozzy sent us a signed autograph. We started a garage band in the 5th grade. After many ozzfests and other Black Sabbath or Ozzy concerts we still held true to what brought us togeather. 25 years later the band I’m in still has the very same friends that were joined together due to Ozzy. We still are following Ozzy’s every step of the way still playing many Ozzy and Black Sabbath covers. Oz your music did more than inspire it gave me a family I didn’t know I needed at the time, brothers I would’ve never found without your music. No ordinary man could move the masses, and I highly doubt that the name Ozzy will ever be forgotten as long as people like myself and others continue on. This album is full of tear jerkers and for anyone that has the appreciation for the movement Ozzy and others started this album has to be the one we all dreaded to come knowing it will probably be his last.
Very cool when someone gets to do that. think of all the rock stars who were taken too soon. Ozzy gets to write his own epitaph. It's a wonderful thing!
I don't want Ozzy to go either but I want him to go when he wants too. He's prepared for his passing and I want him to go peacefully. long live the Prince of Darkness
Love this song, and love Ozzy!! I was 13 when I first heard Sabbath, and been a fan since that day!! It will be a sad day when we don’t have Ozzy anymore !! I know I will shed many tears on that day, which I hope will be a long time from now! Keep singing Ozzy, never, never stop !!
He said a couple weeks ago on the reddit ask me anything that if he could change one thing about his life... it would be to stop Randy from getting on that plane. It broke my heart.
Oh they will forget all who sold there soul, none will forget who go to the pit with them. Although in that much agony you’re own “accomplishments” don’t even matter let alone some dude who sold his soul. A year later and I'm still listening to this. Ozzy will NEVER die an ordinary man cuz he's had one of most extraordinary careers ever known in recorded history. Took practically every drug known to man and survived to tell about it, then he cleaned up his act, has amazing amd talented children, a wife who never gave up on him like most wives would if their husbands did half the shit Ozzy did, received multi-platinum albums in his past 54 career in the music business, and he was knighted by the Queen of England herself. He is a living God and is the main reason why I love music to this day. He's definitely different than other metal/hard rock/classic rock artists of his time. He is trying to tell a story and people often misinterpret his message as a dark and Satanic thing when he is probably more religious and more catholic than anyone I know. Fun fact: did you know he and his entire band say a prayer before they go on stage? He even did it while he was with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Wars when he was in Black Sabbath. Definitely don't know of any other metal bands or Singers to do that but him. So yeah, Ozzy is definitely one of, if not, the most extraordinary human beings I have ever seen on the news and on videos. May he go down in history as the greatest musician of all time. He definitely won't die an ordinary man.
I think the Grim Reaper himself it's just too much of a fan so he's just allowing him to live This long When that day does come we shouldn't be crying we should be celebrating because he live the life of ten men and anyone that does what he has achieved he'll be remembered for many years to come

Same thing with Elton John. Although Ozzy's drug abuse was most likely way worse than Eltons. They still went through a lot of similar scenarios. Both of them truly went through a lot and this song represents their long journeys to this point

This feels like it's his final song his final goodbye truly a masterpiece of a song one of Ozzy's best songs
Man I’m sorry that’s sucks about your dad. Hopefully he gets better and you will have a lot longer with him
Patrick Dougherty I can relate to that.

So, the song itself speaks to me deeply as well. tear jerker

Definitely don't know of any other metal bands or Singers to do that but him.

he has a new album arriving soon ....trust
A culmination of sorts. His opus.
This last album is epic.
It's a biography of a kind...
@@mikeahuja I haven't heard of that???
It’s not
I'm crying...
You are crying...
We are all crying...
Well now im laughing..
I still cry every time I watch this video :'(
Reminds me of my dad who passed. He passed like a week before this came out. Makes me tear up everytime
The best thing to do is enjoy him while he's still with us. His brilliant music is forever.
Blessed by this man's music, his story, his life. He is no ordinary man, and I'm not ashamed to admit I cried a bit through a few different parts. This man has been a god to us for such a long time. A genuine living legend. Rock on Ozzy, forever sending my love and appreciation your way.
Get well soon Ozzy. I will never forget how you brought me from darkness
Haha, gayy
@Sara Ford I'm just not into this whole version of Ozzy and I think pretty much all true fans agree
@Sara Ford I'm gay btw, not homophobic at all
To get back up after lifetimes of pain, sorrow, addiction and tragedy is so honorable. I respect this man profoundly, so much more than the douches that pretend to be perfect.
This man is a brave human being and sincere.
This is basically like reading Ozzy's book, just in song form - such a strong video
Lavazza 4:00 a.m. I'll get it
Agreed
Biography of OZZY!!!
I have his book. He gave me lots of laugh and also his hard times. It was easy for me to understand when I read it in english. Love that he still have his english accent...hear it here when he sings OKEY in this so damn good song 😊 Sorry for my english ...I'm from Sweden.
Exactly
This feels like "Hurt" from Johnny Cash...a goodbye song.
I thought the same
I just shared the video on FB after watching it for the 1st time and said the same.
Yes sir
Don't say it
I remember hurt came out in 2003
Same year Johhny Cash died
I see I'm not the only one that it feels like reminds me of Bowie's goodbye song
This struck me just as deeply as Johnny Cash's "Hurt" video. One rebel going over his life before it's time to go. Jeez,Ozzy.
i hope & pray his health improves enough so he can at least do 1 last show in 2024 to thank his fans for decades of love & support. i can promise you i'd fly anywhere for it (so thankfull i saw the 1st leg of his farewell tour in 2018 before horrible run of bad luck hit Ozzy). crazy to think that could be the last time i get to enjoy Ozzy live. we love you Ozzy! 🙏
There is nothing "ordinary" about Ozzy. He is a fucking legend! I am almost 43 and have been listening to him since I was 7 or 8 because of my big sister, who died way too early. Ozzy/Sabbath will be in my playlist till my dying day. We LOVE YOU OZZY!
And you kiss him with that mouth? 🙃
@@corey-bird3489 Kiss who?
Ozzy my hubbyz fav too he must be so happy to see me playing this song agn n agn in my bedroom ...memories!!!!,
Im 51 got my first Black sabbat album, there first at christmas 1981, mom and dad didn now what they bougt me.. That christmas was ruin for them the moment i put in on 😂🙏🙏🙏
My man I first heard Ozzy in a school resource pod when I was only 11! That would be 1971! I was floored and jaw dropped as I had never, ever heard anything like it before. Of course it was Paranoid. I never looked back! I have seen him with Sabbath, The Blizzard of Oz tour with Randy Rhodes and the No More Tours. He was is and shall always be a definitive moment in my life and he will always have an incredibly special place in my heart as will his entire family. Thank you to Post Malone and Andrew Watt for giving him his last live moment in front of the fans that he so adores, doing what ignites his very soul! I love you Ozzy...now and forever my precious Godfather of genuine Rock! BTW Ozzy...you found your Sargent Pepper......
I was unprepared for fame
Then everybody knew my name
No more lonely nights, it's all for you
I have traveled many miles
I've seen tears and I've seen smiles
Just remember that it's all for you
Don't forget me as the colors fade
When the lights go down, it's just an empty stage
Okay
Yes, I've been a bad guy
Been higher than the blue sky
And the truth is I don't wanna die an ordinary man
I've made momma cry
Don't know why I'm still alive
Yes, the truth is I don't wanna die an ordinary man
Many times I've lost control
They tried to kill my rock and roll
Just remember I'm still here for you
I don't wanna say goodbye
When I do, you'll be alright
After all, I did it all for you
Don't forget me as the colors fade
When the lights go down, it's just an empty stage
Okay…
I want to specially appreciate you for being a big fan. Thanks for your love and nice comments on my post, it means a lot to me and I would like to know more about you and how long you have been a good fan of mine Okay then I will direct you to my gmail address platform where we talk more on my leisure hour.

Don't worry, Ozzy. I cried during the Randy Rhoades vignette, too.
Raymond Rothfeldt me too that was sad
Same. If I'm not mistaken, that was the same bus that was hit.
Chuck Moore yeah it was your right

WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU OZZY!
This reminds me of David Bowie's Lazarus... Like a rock legend seeing the end of the road nearing and embracing the end rather than avoiding it, and writing some of the most raw and personal yet beautiful songs yet in reflection. Thank you for everything, Ozzy.
yes I think this is kinda farewell song
Both Lazarus and Ordinary Man made me cry. So did Tears in Heaven
Ozzy Osbourne and Elton John is the ultimate and legendary gold of every music
The real emotion was spectacular to watch. It was truly seeing his entire life through his eyes. Loved the smile when he was watching his kids when they were younger. The love he has with Sharon is amazing. No ordinary man but a complex one.
His biography I Am Ozzy is good. Tells a lot about his younger years. What he can remember anyway.
Ozzy, you never have been and never will be an ordinary man. Stay with us just a bit longer so we can tell you how much we love you
"God must love ordinary people because he made so many of us. But every single day, in every walk of life, ordinary people do extraordinary things."
They broke the mold after Ozzy. True Legend. Extraordinary.
Fabulous thoughts you have written here. You are so right!!!!!
@@BarbWalk That quote wasn't from me obviously. I heard it in a speech made by Jim Valvano a former college basketball coach, but he was quoting someone else and for life of me I can't remember who the quote belongs too. Otherwise I would've credited it.

VERY cool. Thanks 👍 OZZY 4 EVA!
Ozzy, you are the furthest from ordinary! You are greatness, in life and in death. Your a beloved man with all that life has to offer you. You have not wanted, because you had it ALL at your fingertips!
Only lyric you was wrong is I've mama cry instead of I made grown man cry
2:23 Ozzy can't look at the picture of him and Randy without crying. That day still haunts him. R.I.P. Randy Rhoads.
I don't cry much but seeing Ozzy react that way broke me
What happened to Randy rhoads
Hunter Ramsey on tour in 82 randy got on a plane with a coked up pilot, he ended up crashing it killing randy rhoads and Rachel Youngblood r.i.p :(
Hunter Ramsey he was one of the greatest guitarists to ever walk the earth
I kinda cried as well
If this song doesn’t bring you to tears and bring a smile to your heart and face you have no heart ❤! Oh my goodness it’s such an amazing beautiful song! Ozzy truly touched peoples souls and hearts and lives ! Ozzy please know we love you and you’re appreciated andGod bless you! I hope to one day meet you !
2:25 Ozzy's reaction brings me to tears. RIP Randy Rhoads

Yep. Got me too 😔
Please stay with us Ozzy. We are not prepared for a world without you.
TheThunderwars I’m still not over the death of Bon Scott... I agree with you
Joan C McKnight yeah I’m not over Malcom, can’t imagine something happening to ozzy
Mad respect to Ozzy he still has one hell of a music career! You are not an ordinary man.... your man who has lived through what seems like multiple lifetimes of tragedy, addiction, and recovery! Very beautiful music video! Ozzy, you will forever be legendary!
He's the shit.
You Damn right Larry!
What about his voice???????
@@sesiliagianari2953 oh Ozzy voice is iconic nobody else I think of has his type of singing voice!
I read he now has Parkinson disease 😢
Played this at my dads funeral, despite our differences, none of the foul times hold sway. Billy the viking was no ordinary man, may valhalla be your resting place old man.
