There's just no sound like a Huey! So much history in it. Thanks to everyone who restore them and fly them.
To hear the gas producer turbine working, how little RPM increase to hover..(lightly loaded) knowing how much available power there is...😎👍..
And to HEAR the ETL transition, smooth "puffing" in back wake..as rotor becomes more efficient, and helicopter "pulls" more as a little foreward cyclic pushes through..without adding any more power than what was used to hover.. then coming out of ETL on short final, gas producer ramping back up to churn the hovering airflow again..
The Huey is a full experience of the full senses..it really is a symphony of mechanical sounds, each identifiable..
That 8' tail rotor is effective too!
Best rotary aircraft ever made! Hands down .
Being a Huey Crew chief Vietnam it’s still music to my ears
AWESOME!
LOVE it Shes a beautiful bird
