You have copyright as soon as you create the thing, you are absolutely correct. You don’t have to pay for a service to have a copyright, those services are simply managing your copyrighted items for you.
It's the proof of copyright thats the problem, however an original posted works online or via email is evidence that the one who owns copyright had the copied music first. Copyright services main role is to track your music, with a code so you can calculate your profits nd royalties.
@@disistheway2010 if they are profiting off of that copyright material without the owners permission thats the problem. I can use someone eles music all day but as soon as I profit off of it financially then its a problem.
