The one thing I find so difficult with this boss is the visual clutter. I can’t tell what’s coming cause there’s fire in my fucking eyes lol. This video should help, I’ve beaten him twice but never mastered him and I really want to, thanks for this
bullshit lights and fire effects and camera shaking... that s all about the real difficulty for me! hard to see and to concentrate for the counter move! thank u miyazaki fuck
This guide was a gamechanger. My learning rate improved dramatically after watching this. You've earned my sub! Messmer was one of the most challenging and rewarding bosses to beat in Souls.
I've already put in a couple nights worth of experience fighting Messmer so I was kinda familiar with the combos but your advice and tips gave me insight from a detached perspective and things sort of just clicked for me -- I became more patient and I ended up finally seeing the second phase twice, killed him on the second time! Great guide man, feels good to finally beat him
Subscribed after watching a few guide videos. Normally i just try to figure out how to cheese because i suck at dodging but youre making me find a new reason to enjoy the game
This is the 3rd tutorial video where the creator does not dodge the one attack I'm looking for an answer to. The Tornado fire dive attack thing has a follow up that hits every fuckin time
If you dodge that immediate fire spinning attack into him and then dodge backwards as soon as the camera rotates 180° to focus on him, you will always dodge the attack. Works 100% of the time and I figured it out myself.
I absolutely crushed him with a Reduvia and Great Knife (Blood Affinity). BLOOD BLADE!! Level 215. Dex 45 Arc 60. LoBE, Winged Sword Insignia, Shard Of Alexander. Melted.
He absolutely has to be less resistant to holy than the other types because I just melted him with the sacred relic sword lol. Im at like level 13 scadutree blessing also.
Yeah, I took him out with the Halo Scythe on my third attempt with help from the redmane great shield and flame protect me. I'm not exactly a finesse player, the old reflexes just aren't up to it.
According to Fextralife his negation to holy is 40 in phase 1 but "0" (no negation) in phase 2. I recall checking the site prior to fighting Mesmer so my Sacred Relic Sword was my main weapon and I wave of golded him/her every opportunity and won fairly easily between me and Mini-Me. I don't think I had time to summon either Jolan or Hornsent so was just me and Mini-Me.
first of I wane say u go the best tutorial in this game, thxs to u I was able to beat Messemer(43tries) midra (23 tries) back to back while only being level 10 for the scadu. My only problem is the lighting build I have invested into 100+ hours is completely useless as they all take too long to charge up.
I used a great katana and lions claw it was a piece of cake🍰 I would recommend staying close to him aswell and his second phase is pretty straight forward just dodge the snakes when they come at u ig 🤗
@@TeroninVulcan yeah it's litteraly stupid, first time playing elden ring and dlc and i did not like a lot of boss fights, it's either the boss gets two phases which is unnecessary because his first phase is already op and you can't even get your crimson tears back and you gotta fight the second like radagon and malenia, or some bossed who just move a lot. Watch this video btw, i beat him after watching it, i had a mimic +10 and summoned the guy inside thornsten or whatever his name is. It got a good breakdown of most his attacks. Btw, i found a lot of bosses in dlc to be annoying, saint of the bug is litteraly so bad, scadutree Avatar too...they did not put much work in them + too many questlines that affect summons in Fights.
@@Ucps_ level 713 bro. Bleed build. I sliced through him like a hot knife through butter. I am on journey 78. That's 78 times of killing everyone and everything. For the DLC,I am journey 8! But have to say...game getting a bit boring now.
yeah no, not many youtubers go into so much detail and i found this rlly helpful even tho i normally struggle following guides, u got a new subscriber 🫡
Dude how the hell did my gameplay improve after i watch this you explained realy good that even a dumbhead like me understood
Lol, thanks I appreciate the feedback, glad it helped!

Best guide out here for sure, exactly what i was looking for, thank you so much for help!

This is a fantastic guide
Thanks, glad you like it! Hope it helps.
I absolutely crushed him with a Reduvia and Great Knife (Blood Affinity). BLOOD BLADE!! Level 215. Dex 45 Arc 60.
LoBE, Winged Sword Insignia, Shard Of Alexander. Melted.
I used 40 dex ,29 arc, 10 sacadu, and 67 faith but decided to do no lighting damage.
This is the best breakdown I’ve seen. Thank you.
I did it! At level 2 scadutree! Thanks for the help!

he is, that was wrong info, fextralife stats are up today.
Holy and lightning weakness I believe
Yeah, I took him out with the Halo Scythe on my third attempt with help from the redmane great shield and flame protect me. I'm not exactly a finesse player, the old reflexes just aren't up to it.
@@madhatten5123Nah lightning ain't bad but he isn't actually weak to it. He's weak to Holy/sacred, bleed, frost.

this is the best messmer guide on yt bro
Thank you, means alot!
Great guide, deserves more views!
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Bro I kid you not after I saw the video I went in and beat him thank you so much my friend
Phase 2 is where it gets impossible, you can’t dodge all the snakes

My fav thing about u is how u divide the boss attacks into categories, watching u is literally cheating
thanks man awesome video this is my fav boss fight so far its brutal tho.
tbh the biggest boost i needed was just someone saying that his attacks are honestly not that bad lol
I like how every other guide is like “KILL MESSMER EASY! OP STRAT!” and this one just says how to beat messmer
Yeah I don't like clickbaity titles haha even though they work statistically
I just keep dying when he does the super giant snake consecutive explosion of snek
W guide made me understand the boss attacks alot more killed him in 5 tries after
in the embrace of messmer's flame
great explanation, but did you get hit that many times???
your build for this boss also includes having Fias curse on ?
This guide is amazing I’m not even on Mesmer yet tho
I used a great katana and lions claw it was a piece of cake🍰 I would recommend staying close to him aswell and his second phase is pretty straight forward just dodge the snakes when they come at u ig 🤗
Nice vid btw
Thanks glad you liked it. Lions claw also great, the hyper armour is nice
Great video
Beat him within 10 tries of swapping to a blood Nagakiba and RoB after 50+ attempts 💀
What I learned was my hits are apparently only doing a 1/4 of the damage I need to fight this boss.
I changed the effects settings to the lowest on this boss and it still hit me in the face with this shit
Wtf, where is the supercombo that mesmer do in the second fase with the snakes ta otk me?
Bro says the snake attacks aren't too bad to dodge yet he gets hit by half of them.
I love this video, but you left out the move in the second phase where he sends 10 snakes at you at once out of a huge puddle.
Why am i getting soo much damage 😭😭 and seeing getting nowhere near as mine
This boss reminds me of Orphan of Kos fight - very similar.
I used on him dark moon magic spell he is weak against magic attacks
0:34 the wiki says he's weak to holy damage
He really loves up to his name lol I keep getting grabbed
i beat him with ' the Water fowl - i died like 777 times tho
LOL.
Dodge like 15 times in a row
Litteraly, dodge 15 times just to hit once
@@KibMuzan i hate this kind of fight... just nerving on purpose!
+ considering the particle light effects and camera rotating all the time! wtf

Lol I'm at ng+14, he deals 10000x more DMG
When you get hit it looks like nothing
Is he weak to Frost or anything?
He’s weak to frost
Bleed starfist + endure !
Im at level 265 and can not kill this guy hes awfull
Me on scadutree 7 trying 😂
Lol I killed him first try. You people need to git gud! 😂
