NO SPOILERS BUT AFRO NEEDS TO KNOW THIS: If you get to a point where it asks you to burn a tree, DONT! Its a point of no return and all friendly/ally NPC quests become inaccesible after that tree is burnt.
So if you want to explore the DLC and all of its contents, do so before you burn that tree.

You can still explore the game, it's not like parts of the map become unaccessible. You just can't do quests, me personally I'm getting fed up with this dlc. I still had multiple parts of the map to find. I just did it anyway to get it over with. Will I explore more before finishing the final fight? Absolutely, but don't get it twisted you can still explore and do other boss fights.

The way the VA delivers his lines sounds so empty and full of sadness. Like he knows Marika did him dirty but he still did as she asked faithfully and was willing to do it forever. Like he did not like being "the face of fear." Like he did not want this life. It's truly heartbreaking.

This is just straight impressive, afro basically destroyed what took homie seereax hours to beat in a few runs. The dragons unlocked his potential and let me solo made it bloom.
bleed will get you through 99% of elden ring
If it took read a long time to beat Mesmer then he probably doesn’t have a lot of fragments, cuz tbh Mesmer ain’t an insane boss to deal with

It's also the build. Afros damage output and playstyle are completely different then seereaxs. Bosses with high poise that can out Unga bunga the radahn swords make it really hard for seereax to do anything

I started a new game with the colossal great sword and ended the DLC with the colossal greatsword without ever changing my build and it was the perfect finale
Also side note. Giant Hunt demolishes most humanoid bosses and it can even stagger the final boss in 3 consistent hits

Fun fact: One of the best things to use fighting messmer is bleed damage, afro happened to have the perfect build for this fight, good stuff homie

That dragon heart you found from the communion was from a npc who had a quest you missed by never speaking to her. She disappeared the moment you killed Bayle. I believe you can use the heart on the pot next to the place you found the heart.
That said, Messmer is in my opinion, one of the fairest fight you’re ever going to get in this DLC. Everything he does has a reasonable tell and he is surprisingly merciful with getting combo’d so easily unlike some bosses like Rellana.
Speaking of that. What is your Scardu Fragment level at by the time you fought Messmer?
He didn’t miss it all he need to do is drink from the pot next to where he found the priestess heart
@@TheRealFredLive I should probably rephrase what I said. I was just talking about the npc relating to where he got the heart from, not what the heart is for.
You actually use the heart to turn into a dragon yourself, there is another item just like it and essentially they both boost resistances and one boosts communion spells while the other boosts cult spells. You must not be wearing armor in order to use the item and it persists until death.
@@KawfeeKun well yes, that’s true, but I honestly never use it since I’m not an arcane build (hardly use dragon spells)
Rellana? She was easy too.
The Priestess Heart transforms you into a Dragon- boosting dragon cult incantations (basically lightning enhancement), but you have to be stripped naked to use it. Plus you need to have used the Dragon Communion to devour at least three dragon hearts to acquire their incantations.
Works for casters, but not for your current playstyle. That being said, however, there is an armor set that boosts your damage output (while reducing some of your defenses), turning you into a glass cannon. But that's for you to decide if you want that or not.
Also comes with another Great Katana that is being dubbed as the 'Ocean of Blood' version of Rivers of Blood Katana.
What's the actual name of that katana so I can look up where to find it
rakasha's gear is cool for fashion(my character has hair thats a bit more orange than messmer's but i like my characters braid more, so i altered his helm to use my hair but left my character's hair alone and it looks kinda sick with rakasha gear, its such an evil look, and a bit of a glass cannon playstyle, but using rivers of blood and the sword of night or whatever is honestly fun in pvp lol, cause when you land something it HURTS, and its pretty easy to land uncharged witching hour slash on an agressive opponent,so they just get slapped

@@your_local_baka it's called Rakshasa's Great Katana. You need to find the ladder by where the boats are at the shadow keep to get to the area where the dungeon is for it.
You can transform into a dragon during fight with Bayle. But no one will figure that out unless u search for walkthroughs. Theres no mf will figure that out blindly.
This may not be seen at all but, seeing Afro struggle through and persevere through these hard bosses gave me the courage to do the same on a game i've been struggling with. I got the determination to keep trying and i finally beat it a few minutes ago. Thank you, Afro, Dont give up!

Messmer is my favorite fight in the game. He’s cool as fuck, amazing lore, amazing ost, and he’s fun to fight because despite how hard he is, he never feels unfair (unlike his sister)

Been watching afro for like two-ish years now but I only ever tune in when I hear he's doing something difficult. Watching him go through his endless cycle of -inflated ego- aggressive reality check - use meta/easy tactics- inflated ego is always an absolute treat. I think this guy's utter incompetence is a true testament to the condition of man and evidence that if you use the tools given to you anything is possible; no matter how skillless and room temp IQ you might be.

An interesting thing about Messmer’s phase two is that, in his transition, he removes his eye and crushed his own grace of gold, becoming tarnished to fight you better and prevent you from becoming the tarnished Elden Lord.
Another interesting detail is that the ring around his eye socket looks identical to the darksign from Dark Souls.
As for what you’re supposed to do with Bayle’s heart, you’re supposed to put it in the great flame next to the giant dragon corpse to get a Bayle’s communion incantation.
It’s basically like his remembrance.

somehow i missed those but i found the entire gravebird set, both variants of the chest
