Great seeing more concise makeup collection-still trying to downsize my makeup. Powders i tend to keep longer but alot of them can go as long as 36m depending on the brand. Everyone has diff needs-like if you have acne prone or sensitive skin you may need to get rid of products before their expiration date based on what your skin is like. Tend to be more strict with expiration with cream products since i just dont like idea of having that on my skin when it gets older.
It looks like there's a Natasha Denona 5 pan palette and a silvery palette in the drawer before you declutter, but not after? So curious about them lol. Are those new purchases?
Yes you are right, it's a Natasha Denona and an old Mac Holiday palette! I should have mentioned it but felt I had rambled on enough already 😄 They are old so I don't use them anymore, but they have shades I want to get (at least something similar), so I keep them for "reference" and I just put them in my hallway to bring for my next shopping trip 😅
I’m tempted by the Anastasia palette but I don’t understand putting that matte textured material on the outside... doomed to get covered in dirty-looking powder and impossible to clean.
Yesss, I agree, it's so frustrating when packaging is made to be aesthetic for all of two minutes after opening but not beyond (looking at basically every Nars product I ever owned ugh). Luckily my ABH palette has held up better than I feared it would!
Just a note, i dont know if someone else told you.. but you dont necessary have to toss products after the number of months defined by the PAO. You are wasting a lot of usable and safe products. The PAO is indicative, you are able to judge if the product is still safe to use. Its such a big waste, I can understand it for product you dont like to use, having them there spoiling while not using them has no sense, or for products you use directly on your eyes that are not cleanable.. but the products that you like and you use... nothing its going to happen if you use them a couple of month after the PAO ends... just control them, make sure they are clean, that didn't change colour or texture or their smell Please dont waste all those products For example, the concealer, i can see you used a little spatula to take a little amount, that make it more clean and safe to use.. another example is the powder... Powders because of the little amount of water are safe for more time because bacteria will not grow easily in it
Eye primer is one of those products where the cosmetics industry scams us into buying the same thing in different packages. A tiny bit of foundation applied on the lids with a small flat brush performs just as well.
Lipsticks dont expire believe me i have them from 2015 they are still the same & amazing.. foundations & concealers i dont risk keeping them more than the expiration date but lipstick they can last for 10 years no problems alone with powder products eyeshadows blushes etc...
Do you want to see an updated makeup collection of what I have added after decluttering? 💄
Yessssss
Yes please!!!
Yess please
Definitely!
Thank you all, I definitely will!
There's no need in throwing away powder products that soon. Liquid and cream products - yep, these needs to go but powders never go bad in 12 months
True

for the loose powder, if you dont use it so often try getting a mini! you probably will end up using it all up before it goes bad
Congrats on your restraint over the last year and smartly using the lovely items you have!
Thank you, I appreciate your thoughtful comments along the journey!
Not me over here still using my 10+ year old warm soul blush from Mac 😅😮💨

@@SandraSkaar Totally understand, I do that too lol! 🤗
@@SandraSkaar Honestly, people who watch thoughtful declutters are in it for the rambling!
@@emmy8526 Haha, fair point!
Did you buy anymore eyeshadow and what cheek products did you get x
I did! 🤭 I haven't completely figured out all of the cheek products yet, but I'll do a video of what I have currently 🥰
@@SandraSkaar Thank u! Im really inspired by u to Have a small collection and acc use the products before they expire
Maybe get a mini loose powder ?
This is absolutely the answer, I don't know why I didn't think of that! Thank you, I will do that 😁

Seeing all those products still usable going to waste makes it just harder for me to keep watching the video without thinking about the waste

I have oily eyelids, so I need eye primer to keep me eyeshadows from creasing!
@@emilyruribe Fair enough for oily eyelids! (:
@@emilyruribeYes, I have oily eyelids too - on me everything will crease without a good primer!
Your hair is getting so much longer!! Are you missing the bob?
Oh yes! I actually just got my bob back, my hair was driving me a little crazy at this point 😄

You remind me of Rory Gilmore.
Thank you, I will take that as a compliment! 😊
Please don't throw away your brow pomade...when it is dried out: use things like duraline, mehron.... ✌️
Great tip!
