Anyway, I cheer for him and think he is great wrestler.
I understand being the best is what you should go for but it’s not in your control sometimes. The position is a perfect storm of events. Austin and Rock weren’t in that position for a decade. Hogan and Flair couldn’t drop their gimmicks. Look at guys like Kurt angle, Eddie Guerrero and even the undertaker. Those guys weren’t the very top guys in the company but are in a lot of top fives for many fans. He shouldn’t worry about being second best, be something different.
Imo the fact they factored the back injury into a storyline and sold it like seths back was rapidly deteriorating in the shinsuke feud really messed with the reign. Didnt look really good when Shinsuke and even Balor could've pulled out a glock and shot Seth but they still wouldve lost anyways, or the fact its been months since that Nakamura feud and Seth only really sells the back when its convienent for an opponent to look strong going into the PPV, but will then hit springboard sentons and frog splashes through announce tables on the regular before then going "oh yea owie my back". Either commit to the angle and let Seth tell kickass stories about him coming up with creative ways to retain the title with his injured back in mind , or don't bring it up at all until you know Seths reign is ending within the next month of that point being brought up. I get that hes actually for real dealing with this bad back but I personally don't understand pulling this injury angle and making it so apparent and making it feel like Seth was held together by a twine and a wish so soon when you know he isnt dropping that belt until probably wrestlemania. Feel like AEW told that story with Orange Cassidy better, subtle for a majority of the reign but slowly becoming more and more apparent up until the final month or so. (still wasnt perfect though) Love seth (thank god he learned from his arrogant behavior in 2019 and doesn't go on twitter as much), but I don't love this reign and think it should've ended with Balor imo.
There's people that just aren't made to be the face of the company. WWE has Cody, Randy, Roman, Breakker, Hayes, and Gunther as viable face of the company choices. Rollins isn't like them. He's not that type of guy.
Randy was never the face of the company himself. Carmelo Hayes wasn't the face of NXT because Bron Breakker was there. Those two are not good examples.
A shield triple threat main event would be great today, considering where the character and in ring work of these men are top tier but the reason we didn’t get it while they were all employed in the same place was cause Mox and Rollins would’ve overshadowed their guy
For me is more the case that Seth is good without a belt, he had some cool and unique gimmicks that helped capture the eyes and stay over without any title
Honestly the music change is what killed it for me. When they did the first "Burn it down!" it was awesome and even gave him knew light. This new gimmick was ok but when they really changed the theme it was just ruined. Every time he defends everyone is there to see him lose not retained. We wanted AJ, Finn, Drew, Shinsuke, even Jinder (Kinda) It boils down that he needs to be a badass not in-between the problem is they book them so badly in a way that he is not cool. Everything has a "He is going to be booked strong, But....." when it comes to his booking.
I completely and utterly agree with him constantly being the wrong thing. His two best things he did was in the shield and as the Monday Night Messiah, which were both amazing, but all the top prize title reigns... For as much as I love him... Has just been so-so at best, and bad at worst...
a) he doesn't need the title b) all of his opponents are stars that the audience wants to see win, thus turning the crowd against him, at no fault of his own
Seth is my favorite wrestler so I may be biased. However you have good points. Seth is the most consistently over wrestler perhaps though. Cody, Jey, and la knight are more over now but it may be Seth in a year again. I think it’s the booking more than his own in ring and in mic performances
Idk why but I've always seen seth as a solid transitional champion. Someone whos good to hold onto the belt while they build up the next guy they want to push. Especially since it feels like once he hits a certain lenght of time with the belt the reign immediately turns stale
Just accept the fact that Seth will always number 2. He’ll always be second fiddle to Roman and there’s nothing wrong with that. Every era they always had a top guy and they also had the number 2 guy. 80’s Hogan/Savage, 90’s Shawn/Bret, 00’s Austin/Rock, 10’s Cena/Orton and now 20’s Roman/Seth. Acknowledge that☝️
In this case the 2nd fiddle may not be the bigger star but damn sure and not even close seth is better again I agree with this take but Seth is indeed better just not bigger

So why exactly does he need to be the most over babyface or the most qnything? In the 90s hbk was not the most over babyface or even the most over star. Thst doesnt mean anything.
Problem is not rollins , problem is wwe. When Roman is champ …best rively is given to him. Roman vs rock, brock, cena, taker … Which means title defence and main event go hand in hand. When Seth is champ he isnt given top rivelry instead he is fed guys like cody, druew, fiend….while someone else is having a notitle main event match. It was same with punk. Punk had the belt but was fed lower guys while cena was maineventing without the belt. Its like a movie where director has chosen Cena/ Romen for Lead and seth/punk are reserved for supporting actor. Not a coincidence that wwe loves big guys and seth loses out to Roman while punk lost to cena in the race of top guy.
Rollins not being having the best championship reign on raw isnt even his fault right now, gunther is having the best ic reign ever and its been much longer than seths
Mate... HHH and Orton are tied for 2nd/3rd place for championships what do you mean they were never allowed to be the man? From the beginning it was always Reigns they wanted to put at the top. Rollins is like the Bret Hart, HBK, Chris Jericho of WWE which is an all time great. He's definitely better off as a Heel
Hot take: if anyone should dethrone Rhodes, it’s Seth Rollins. They owe it to him after putting Cody over 3 consecutive times. Take him to Wrestlemania as a heel and main event with the WWE title. Give him that spot.
Let’s be real, the main event at WM35 was either Becky or Kofimania….so you’re wrong about that one, I think WWE even out a poll where they asked which match should main event and him and Brock was last.
Roman was cursed at the start by being forced to be a babyface Seth got to go heel at first but once Roman becomes the top heel in the company now Seth is constantly pushed into the role of an unnatural babyface
I swear I don't understand the hype around Seth Rollins current gimmick I can't grasp what's it supposed to be either i don't know maybe I'm just getting old lol.

Maybe if he just acted like himself and dialed it up people would have more respect for him as champion. What does the outfits, laugh, and song say about him?
IMO the hell in a cell match ending was so shit and made no sence, the main thing of hell in a cell is that it's no DQ and then they go for a DQ finish, makes no f'n sence

Doesn’t matter if Rollings defends his title reign every week. He’ll always get outshined by Roman. Rollings is not helping his title ring being less relevant because if you are giving a World Title Shot to just anyone that hasn’t qualified or has been somewhat built previously, then the title becomes secondary. Anyway, I cheer for him and think he is great wrestler.
Seth has always been booked badly but his current run is all his fault, his gimmick is a living nightmare.
I feel like Charlotte Flair and Seth are kind of in the same boat of being wrongly casted as babyfaces, because everything they do is heelish
Seth Rollins is the World “I’m here everyday every second WWE is my home I love all the 4727362 hours a week wrassslin fan” Champion.
The Roman reigns problem? 👀
Yall are just being to rough on Rollins, you are going to miss him
Edge was the guy on smackdown
I can see Seth Rollins vs CM Punk main eventing WrestleMania 40, with Priest successfully cashing in either post-match, or the day after on RAW
I completely and utterly agree with him constantly being the wrong thing. His two best things he did was in the shield and as the Monday Night Messiah, which were both amazing, but all the top prize title reigns... For as much as I love him... Has just been so-so at best, and bad at worst...
He's not a champion. He's just like the Million Dollar Man, but less talented.
a) he doesn't need the title
b) all of his opponents are stars that the audience wants to see win, thus turning the crowd against him, at no fault of his own
Seth is my favorite wrestler so I may be biased. However you have good points. Seth is the most consistently over wrestler perhaps though. Cody, Jey, and la knight are more over now but it may be Seth in a year again. I think it’s the booking more than his own in ring and in mic performances
I didn’t realize the fact about him getting overshadowed constantly. Gotta be frustrating but it does say a bit.
Idk why but I've always seen seth as a solid transitional champion. Someone whos good to hold onto the belt while they build up the next guy they want to push. Especially since it feels like once he hits a certain lenght of time with the belt the reign immediately turns stale
Also it probably doesn't help that the fans are very sick of the main belts having long title reigns due to Roman holding his belt hostage for so long
Just accept the fact that Seth will always number 2.
@@blitx62 Seth is definitely a better wrestler than Roman just like Kurt angle is a better wrestler than the rock. Just like Brock is a better wrestler than Cena. Just like Mr. Perfect is a better wrestler than hogan. But we know in the world of entertainment. Hogan, Rock, Cena, Roman is the better star. And that’s what wrestling based on. Professional entertainment instead of Amateur skill.
@@Back_Shots_Whisperer in my opinion Seth is just better at wrestling, character work and mic skills reigns just draws the crowd more and sells more merch
The way WWE is now, he wont be THE guy. CM Punk is likely gonna take the belt off him and run Raw in 2024. Cody Rhodes is more over than him as is Jey Uso and LA Knight. Even Sami Zayn is mkre popular I feel and the crowd would definitely get behind more than Seth. AJ Styles could catch fure again and be more over. Roman Reigns is already a made man. Brock Lesnar can show up after taking a break from his farm and instantly be the guy. Theres too many cool ass dudes on the roster than are more over
He’s the man who broke up the shield. He’s as natural heel. Just because people do sing alongs to his song doesn’t mean he’s “over” 🤣. That being said when he’s a heel he’s treated as a mid carder
Dude, Seth already is the Man. He doesn't need to prove it
WWE is afraid to do things. You can tell by every money in the bank winner ever.
Honestly, this reign is very good. All 3 fueds have been great and most the matches have been good
I knew that voice was familiar let me find out mustard gets into his WWE bag too 😂
3:38 👈🏽this point proves who the “chosen one” really is tho. WWE management chose Roman but The fans chose Seth
what do you think about the Rollings facing CM Pumk and defending the roster?
I've never been a Seth Rollins fan. He just doesn't ring with me 🤷
I love seth and i think he's a great champion but I'd be lying if i said I didn't want him to drop the title to jey uso. But that being said i would love to see him against cody for the title and i actually do like his current run
This is a beautiful take on Seth Rollins rise to championship glory
11:38 this is what made me not care for Rollins anymore. He feels like that person in every company that is kiss up to the bosses and I know I could be wrong about him because I don’t really know him but that’s just a feeling I have
Idk make him anti and I think it would be dope. I don’t like Seth not taking the easy way out some times . Bc he’s the architect
I think this video is brilliant. I've seen some of your other videos about dragon Ball z and marvel and they're good too, but I think you should stop spreading yourself thin and only focus on what you're really good at which is the wrestling videos. Just a thought and opinion don't need to get attacked by the peanut gallery, but best of luck to you and have a good day
Yung Mustard watches wrestling? Automatic sub
So why exactly does he need to be the most over babyface or the most qnything? In the 90s hbk was not the most over babyface or even the most over star. Thst doesnt mean anything.
One other problem is his wife is running that The Man gimmick so it kinda ruins his gimmick in teying to be a badass when his wife has that title.
Problem is not rollins , problem is wwe.
When Roman is champ …best rively is given to him. Roman vs rock, brock, cena, taker …
Which means title defence and main event go hand in hand.
That championship he holds is irrelevant compared to the WWE championship just as bad as HHHs reign of terror in the early 2000s
I don’t really get present Rollins because he was revealed to have a back injury they still keep him as, champion?
Seth Rollins is a bad guy... He does not get over a babyface
It's not seth rollins problem
It's the iwc problem
Iwc is one of the worst thing in wrestling today
Didn’t know you made wrestling takes too bro! I thought just basketball, good video!
WWE forced Roman on us they don’t book Rollins well
Well at least he takes less holidays than Roman.
Seth should main event mania this year with cm punk
Roman was cursed at the start by being forced to be a babyface Seth got to go heel at first but once Roman becomes the top heel in the company now Seth is constantly pushed into the role of an unnatural babyface
I don’t think Seth will be the man as long as Roman Reigns is around everyone knows Roman is the man. If Anything Seth is #2
I swear I don't understand the hype around Seth Rollins current gimmick I can't grasp what's it supposed to be either i don't know maybe I'm just getting old lol.
I don’t like how he get beat up all match than hit his finish n win he did nothing to his opponent
The reality is that no matter how many gimmicks Seth tries to force down people's throats, he'll never be the most interesting guy in the room. Maybe if he just acted like himself and dialed it up people would have more respect for him as champion. What does the outfits, laugh, and song say about him?
Cody should have that feud with Randy but when Seth lose his championship he will turn on Cody and the fans and take Cody’s championship
Even if Seth beat Punk, Cody beating Roman will be better even if both are the main event. I think Cody will be bigger than Seth
IMO the hell in a cell match ending was so shit and made no sence, the main thing of hell in a cell is that it's no DQ and then they go for a DQ finish, makes no f'n sence
I want the architect
very good video, sums up what everyone has been thinking about Rollins.
Not everyone
I think it only works for Rollins as a heel champion. Like a true cheater heel champion. Whenever he is a face as champion it just falls flat after a while and I’m a huge Rollins fan
Right, I'm a huge fan of his for like 10 years now but he is very bland as a babyface..
@@blumello sometimes it looks like it’s hard to write for him as a baby face. Like outside of the judgement day and drew interns of storylines all the title matches didn’t quite make since. I get shinkske a little but didn’t really connect with it
@DerQuanDoucett Right, like how were we supposed to connect with shinsuke as a threat when he hasn't done anything major in years, idk seth is a natural heel and hopefully he loses the belt to somebody soon.
Seth should be a heel or a tweener but never a full blown babyface.
Why was 2018 Becky Lynch so popular
Cuz she was badass
@@terelleconner6667not really shit felt forced.
i have no idea
Doesn’t matter if Rollings defends his title reign every week. He’ll always get outshined by Roman. Rollings is not helping his title ring being less relevant because if you are giving a World Title Shot to just anyone that hasn’t qualified or has been somewhat built previously, then the title becomes secondary. People hates on part timers getting title shots…yet they don’t keep the same energy with Jinder Majal who hasn’t been relevant in a while or won an important feud in years and gets a title shot just like that
Great video. That's my thoughts as well.
"Seth Rollins simply is not good enough to be the guy." THANK YOU!
Sadly he's only good when he doesn't have to share the roster with stars who're just as big as him.
