A lovely place to visit I think we visited many years ago but didn’t stay over. Good to see you had options of places to go to escape the relentless rain! ATB, Sue.
It was very handy to pop in and have a look at the sea life to get out of the rain - enjoyed the wander around there some fascinating creatures 🐠 🐟 Always seems wetter over in the west. 🌧 All the best, David & Rachel 👍
Thank you - really appreciated. The weather wasn’t kind as you saw. Was nice to look around the aquarium and have a potter around between the worst of the rain. Thanks again, All the best, David & Rachel 👍
Hi David and Rachel sorry to hear that you had such poor weather but it looks a lovely place to visit both the town and harbour look lovely I’ve only ever been to Windermere so would be great to see more of Cumbria maybe next year!
Cumbria and the Lake District is a beautiful area to explore with lots of places to visit, amazing in beautiful weather. Thanks for the comment and hope you get to explore further, all the best David & Rachel 👍
Lovely review and a good reminder to myself as I looked at this as an option for a winter weekender. I always like places to look around and the aquarium looks like a nice option!
Thank you for your comments 💕 oh it would be very dramatic in the winter! The aquarium was really good - we even found Nemo! 💕 Cheers Rachel, David & Roxy
Hi both. Shame about the weather. Does look nice there though. Lovely location for a site. Liked the sculpture. Nice aquarium too. Ideal on a wet day. Town looked like it had some interesting shops. Can’t beat a decent log burner. Quite a lot of things to do there. Unusual that there was no fence round the site. Odd being disturbed like that at night. Have a great weekend both. 👍😊🐶
Thank you - yes the weather was a shame but the aquarium was handy for something to look around when the rain really opened up. The overnight hopefully was just some checking 🤞 Hope you both have a lovely weekend - all the best, David & Rachel ❤️
There were some very interesting fish and other sea life weren’t there 🐠 🐟 f Thanks very much for commenting, most appreciated, all the best, David & Rachel 👍
Great video. I’m not sure about the campsite with it being so open and the incident would worry me too. The harbour and town looked lovely. Take care Gill
Dreak I think you would call the weather David & Rachel. Surveyed quite a few properties in Maryport but never been over the bridge so thank you for educating me. Given the weather the guys with the torches may have been from United Utilities Waste Water either checking a storm overflow or dealing with a blocked sewer further upstream so looking for a downstream manhole. Maryport's regeneration like a lot of the northern sea ports is slow but progressive from what I've witnessed. Cheers K.
Very good point ref checking as the weather was awful as you saw. That would make sense and utility vehicle too - there’s normally a rational explanation 👍 Thank you - All the best, David & Rachel 👍
Great video guys, shame about the weather, we do have beautiful weather over here sometimes ☀️😍. Bit unsettling in the night for you, Maryport can be strange sometimes 😬. Really enjoyed the video 💕 Nic x
Great video, shame about the weather! Quick question. When you filmed outside the lifeboat station the lights inside flickered but when filming inside they didn’t, did you change you camera settings? If what to? Thanks
Thank you ❤️ Really good question - I didn’t change the camera settings (had them on 4k/30) was filmed on iPhone for reference (12 Pro Max) - I had noticed it myself but it seemed to behave when inside - with being 30FPS the anti flicker is set to 60Hz rather than 50Hz (UK) - it seemed to be when outside looking in which was the problem. All the best, David & Rachel 👍
Pity the weather was crap for you on clear days you can see over to Dumfries and Galloway from Annan to the Isle of Whithorn The life boat is not RNLI it's independent We've had some cracking views from workington over the last ten days or so of D&G picking out farm's and house's through binoculars All the best Malcolm and Sheila from Workington or as locals call it Wukinton
It was a real shame about the weather, as you say imagine fabulous views when it’s clear. We passed Workington on the way through - used to visit Seaton a lot when I was younger as an aunt and uncle lived there for a few years. Thank you and all the best, David & Rachel 👍
Nice review, shame about the weather but you seemed to make the most of things. Shame about the episode in the night and I imagine a little unsettling even if they were legitimate. Thanks both 👍
Thanks Tim, It certainly woke David and he was unsettled (I slept through all the drama 🤣). I think he was more unsettled when the site said it was nothing to do with them. Maybe just young scallys 💁♀️

We was there this time last year and also went into the aquarium for shelter. We parked up on the beach for the night. Great video BTW

My hometown, great content - more of Cumbria on my channel.
Morning thank you for your comment. Cumbria is a lovely place with a variety of things to see & do.
