The one thing the auditor failed to realize is it doesn't matter at this point if he was assaulted or not cause he never reported said assault to police, on the other hand the store owner apparently did and went thru the proper channels to get a restraining order instituted via superior court which means until the court makes a decision you gotta go🤦🏾‍♂️.

The only horrible experience I've had with authority was a female game warden, she came up to me and my dad after we were done fishing while we were looking around the little bridge and she instantly assumed my dad was fishing there where you're not supposed to because there was someone else's old hook in the bush near by. She accused him of fishing and attempting to hide it by cutting off his hook and throwing it in the bushes and gave him a ticket. My step brother and his friend were outside when one of the assholes a few ouses down and across the street wanted to start shit for another friend "driving off too fast" when the guy has kids, who weren't even outside. He started using a bat and swinging at my step brother and his friend, so the friend ran and got a BB Gun, not pointing it or anything (the police said he held it pointing at the ground), and when the cops came one of the cops took the BB Gun after cuffing my step brother and his friend, and having them sitting on the ground. One of the cops then took the gun and started waving it around and pointing it at both of them saying things like "OH, is this how you were acting? You wanna be a gangster? Were you holding it like this?" and held it sideways like a stereotype thug, and kept it pointed at their faced while my mom and I pulled into the driveway. That was in 2006. @@MrRFPinhas generally a process server is someone who's hired as a representative of the court to serve legal process (summons and subpoenas most often). So the officer is acting as a process server in this video as he is serving the man with a restraining order which is a document issued by the court. Almost always, the process server is a third party that is hired specifically to do nothing more or less than serve documents. But people often get aggravated with me because these documents are usually bad for them (divorce papers, restraining order, summons in civil case, etc). It's understandable for someone receiving paperwork like this to be upset but the one serving the paperwork generally doesn't even know what is going on beyond knowing this person is meant to receive those documents.

@@britten02 I try to be as empathetic as possible so often when doing my job, I will hear these people out for a few minutes and sometimes it does help them feel better and it helps me by making the service easier. There have been a few times where people have attempted to get violent with me but luckily it's never escalated beyond them shouting at me while I walk back to my car. It helps that I've got a small body cam I always have running during these jobs and if they get very angry, I will also pull my phone out and live record to my attorneys just in case something happens. Being on camera when attorneys are involved generally makes people think twice about causing an incident.

Both the officer and the citizen said their peace and though it started with tension they both worked to de-escalate the situation. Both men showed proper respect and a situation that could have easily ended poorly if just one of these men acted inappropriately, ended with a man getting a ride home.

      v.
      HENKEL.
      201 U.S. 43 (1906)
      No. 340.
      Supreme Court of United States.
      Argued January 4, 5, 1906.
      Decided March 12, 1906.
APPEAL FROM THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE UNITED STATES FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF NEW YORK.
      ( Paragraph 50 ? )
Conceding that the witness was an officer of the corporation under investigation, and that he was entitled to assert the rights of the corporation with respect to the production of its books and papers, we are of the opinion that there is a clear distinction in this particular between an individual and a corporation, and that the latter has no right to refuse to submit its books and papers for an examination at the suit of the State. The individual may stand upon his constitutional rights as a citizen. He is entitled to carry on his private business in his own way. His power to contract is unlimited. He owes no duty to the State or to his neighbors to divulge his business, or to open his doors to an investigation, so far as it may tend to incriminate him. He owes no such duty to the State, since he receives nothing therefrom, beyond the protection of his life and property. His rights are such as existed by the law of the land long antecedent to the organization of the State, and can only be taken from him by due process of law, and in accordance with the Constitution. Among his rights are a refusal to incriminate himself, and the immunity of himself and his property from arrest or seizure except under a warrant of the law. He owes nothing to the public so long as he does not trespass upon their rights.

@@jeffpricefamily3905 Isn't that adorable! They taught you how to copy/paste.
Here's a challenge. Try looking up what a corporation is then copy/paste that rather than court decisions over 100 years ago.
