Thanks for the update, I think the MGP/classic schedule is better than we could have hoped for. I'm waiting to see what LJ is going to do since the demise of ashcourt, i really hope theres a ride for him.
Thank God , sense has finally prevailed. Didn't have a moment to enjoy a day off and a night out at this year's MGP. Ferry booked, and looking forward to MGP edition #102. Well done to everyone who had an input into convincing the powers that be to reconsider the race format. I CAN'T flippin wait.
Glenn is a legend of the roads fastest TT newcomer 11 superbike NW200 wins Macau GP winner etc etc fair play 👏 He has 3 kids now and he is consistently getting podiums at BSB most weekends so it’s no surprise he’s not fully invested in the roads. His mechanical failure at brands hatch has definitely had something to do with his decision I believe as if that happened on the roads it would have been very different. Respect to him for bowing out at the top of his game and he’s given us plenty of exciting roads racing.
Great news the Manx GP is back to the two week format, i wasn't keen on this years. Thank you for keeping us updated on the all the info filtering through, can't say thanks enough. Just keep doing these videos when you can, we love em.
What I never understood about the shortened event was nobody took into account, that me as a Marshall was using my holiday to work at the races. So, I spend a fortune to get over and stay and I don't get a day off to enjoy the island. I can't go out to restaurants in the evening because I am up early to get to my post (32nd) or I am back late, and end up with another takeaway. I am Marshaling again next year, 21st year, as I absolutely love it, but I do feel we get lip service as a thank you. So going back to two weeks is absolutely fantastic news. See you over, we'll as long as it's for a pint and not working together sir 😊
DAO have roads experience, surely with Josh they will come back to the roads. Having the two 600cc races at the MGP is essential, thankfully they finally listened
They said on Chasin' The Racin' they're not, although they didn't rule it out for the future. Hopefully they will. It'll be a shame if Josh isn't there. Unless they allow him to do it with someone else.
We were overjoyed to hear that the classic was back and the racing would be held over a week again, and then devastated to find out that the steam packet aren’t running any boats from Ireland for the start of race week and we can’t come over to see the whole race week 😢 had planned to take a weeks holiday and see everything.
Seems surprising with Josh Brooks for racing in the TT as he was doing really well last season. If Davy was with FHO geez what a strong team that will be!
Great news about the extended race meeting for MGP, the rest days and contingency days are essential. I also really hope that from a riders perspective that they can give the practice priority to the MGP classes over the Classic TT….or at least alternate each evening. We missed a lot of sessions due to being bumped to the back of the schedule, and then the weather or an incident caused the session to be cancelled after the TT lads had bagged 3 laps that evening! Very frustrating as a paying rider! Don’t know how they run the sessions now, but always felt that setting riders off based on their previous evening lap times is by far the safest way to do it, and surely wouldn’t be that hard if they marked out a numbered “grid” in the holding area? Keeping bikes of similar speeds together has to be a safer way to run, rather than a load of slower bikes out ahead of faster ones, just because they’ve jostled better in the holding area?!
I've been watching your posts for a good few months now (most interesting) and whilst I'm sure many viewers know the names and physical appearances of your colleagues, many will have no idea who is who and what they look like and do outside of the TT/Manx. So a photo and short biography would be a great idea of all TTMs, if only to help us newer marshals know who has arrived should they appear at our post..
The DAO guys were on Chasin' The Racin' and although they didn't rule out a return to road racing they definitely aren't doing it next year at least from what they said.
Firstly I think it's a ludicrous statement to suggest it's the dangers of the TT that can attract riders. In my thirty years of road racing I have never once heard a rider saying he does it because of the dangers. Most racers are the same ilk and race because of the challenges the sport offers and any one daft enough to do it for the dangers won't be around long enough to talk about it. As for young Irwin's retirement, once he becomes uncompetitive at short circuits he'll not be long in returning to the NW and the TT. I fear that the true Manx is doomed as the organisers will slowly eat in to the riders time to suite the Classic TT as its probably a better money spinner. The Manx was always the amateurs TT and to dissolve it is a disgrace...🏁🏁🏁🏁
FHO are crap at paying their riders or their support team and even getting race spares when required. I hope Davey Todd doesn't have to deal with the issues Josh had to work round this year. It's not all what it looks like to the punters.
Michael Dunlop was right when retired from road racing. That road racing is dead. He is doing BSB instead. Glenn retired because he has a family, but I dont know how his family takes his long absense away they must miss him constantly everyday. He should spend more time with his family. Its not fair on them.
😂 😂MD is not retiring from roads ! All he was saying was that most of the fast roads guys now do BSB & that the era a a pure roads guy is dead & that the TT is the only financially healthy roads event. MD always does BSB pre roads season to sharpen up for the roads.
Love the videos. Part of Burrows Engineering Racing. We always run R6’s. Conor will be riding in Supersport but on a new manufacture for us.
Thanks for the update, I think the MGP/classic schedule is better than we could have hoped for. I'm waiting to see what LJ is going to do since the demise of ashcourt, i really hope theres a ride for him.
Hi, please keep doing these updates as its the only real and honest information we get from the TT community on the island. Cheers Andy.

Finally a bit of common sense from the organisers. It looks like a great schedule. If you have the time, weekly/monthly content would be great.

Burrows run an R6 👌
Lee Johnson for TAS?
@@sirboss2467 yes! Good call that
TAS are superbike orientated, Lee said his big bike days were over, you'll see him on an RC45 but not a 220bhp superbike
Mike Browne maybe?
Glen said half the north west was there to see him then he destroyed people with a powder fire extinguisher, toss pot of the century is Glen Irwin.

rob Hodson staying with SMT.
