Thanks for this nice review. Most vids show the Omen Extreme 6 as a pure 'Metalboard' kinda guitar and i was always wondering how it sounds in clean mode. It actually also sounds great without HiGain in clean mode. Not like a Strat but not too far away. All in all it's a pretty versatile guitar and i think i'm gonna order one.
Thanks! Yes, it sounds great clean. The pickups are very articulate. Having the single coil option makes it extremely versatile. I think you’ll agree if you get one.
You're welcome, glad it was useful to you. The pickups on this axe do sound great clean, very 3d and dynamic. I've been very happy with the guitar. The coil split is an added bonus. I'm sure that 7 string will sound amazing. I do find it funny that most of the shreddy guitars that are reviewed are downtuned to Bb and chugging away with loads of gain. I'll probably catch some guff for this, but most guitars setup like that sound... pretty much the same, to me anyway.
Agreed! There's very subtle differences once you add that much gain & distortion, certainly there but nothing a bit of EQ wouldn't change at the point you have an FX chain anyway.@@TheGergeDIY

Curved very slightly.. not noticeable.. if u don't look closely.. backbow or concaved bent.. very slightly 😢.. Or is it my dumb eyes 👀😭
@@kakarot666.It's usable for any style of music really - one of the reasons I bought it was to use as a backup guitar since it's so versatile. As far as the neck, it's probably due to the camera having a fairly wide angle lens. The neck is almost flat, but it's adjusted to have a slight concave bow and very low action. I'm really impressed with the neck and fretwork on this guitar.
I got the exact same guitar from Sweetwater. Only problem I have is the volume pot on the bridge pickup is extremely scratchy. I've sprayed it with tuner spray several times and it smooths it out temporarily and then the scratchiness comes right back. I guess I will have to replace the entire volume pot. Frustrating!

I have the transparent black version, and I love it. Super versatile. I would really like a hardtail version in that orange to match it.

Definitely sounds like a bad pot. Not sure if there is a warranty on these? Maybe contact Schecter and see?
