    I found a Midnight Blue one in the clearance bin at walmart last year. For $20, they are awesome! I don't use them all the time, but I do use them playing handheld around the house. If I take it with me, I use the stock joycons since they fit in the case I can toss in my bag.

  • @khanofchaos

    The price actually wasn't bad compared to the standard joycons! I love mine! Definitely worth the money!

    • @iReviewThis

      True from an overall ergonomic perspective, but when you factor in that it doesn’t have rumble or an internal battery, I can’t see this being more than $25.

    If you keep taking those things in and out of a switch you see those big square things 1:59 the squares back there where the railing is that will rub against the back of your switch every time you put it in and take it out and before you know it you will leave permanent scratch marks in the shape of a little square on the back top left and right corners of your switch.

      Great insight, thank you so much for pointing that out. I wonder if there is something that can be done to mitigate the potential damage and/or if Nintendo is aware of this.

    I haven’t used my switch in hand held mode in a while because of all the stick drift. Don’t want to buy new joycons because they’re super expensive and I know the joysticks still suck

    • @katiejohnson6006

      If you can do the repair or get someone to do it you can replace the sticks with hall effect sticks from guilli kit.

    I paid $49.99 for them at Walmart and reading that people bought them for less doesn’t really bother me because they’re awesome and it really enhances my overall experience! I highly recommend these to gamers that are looking for something different than the original controllers that OLED switch comes with.

  • @donathan5175
    @donathan5175 Месяц назад

    My big question was if the programming buttons on a controller allowed you to assign buttons across the different sides.
    For example, if I wanted to use my left programming button for a button on the right controller could I still do that, like I would on a standard pro controller?

  • @MrRoundthetwist

    I just bought one of these and thought to check out a review first before opening
    Got it at a great price (approx 20$ Walmart) but it’s the red colour lol
    Would have been the last colour I would have picked but at that price it’s a no brainer
    Great review I look forward to testing it out

    • @iReviewThis
      @iReviewThis  2 дня назад

      That’s a pretty good deal, even for the red pair. It will change your gaming experience especially if you’ve only used the joycons for handheld. Thanks for the support!

    How is this for small hands? I've read the Pro has better buttons than the Compact but I'm indecisive due to the reason mentioned.

    • @iReviewThis
      @iReviewThis  9 месяцев назад

      I’d say the Pro should still be a comfortable gaming experience for smaller hands, but I do think the compacts buttons are very similar if you’re on the fence.

    I have a couple questions my first question Is will these fit on my switch with a case I have a clear thin plastic case that snaps over the back top and bottom of my switch will these still fit with that case on and my 2nd question will the switch fit into the dock with these controllers attached

    • @iReviewThis
      @iReviewThis  14 дней назад +1

      It will definitely fit on the dock with these attached but for your case, I’m not exactly sure since these are a lot bigger.

    • @nowai5986
      @nowai5986 10 дней назад

      I had to take the nyko thin case I had on my oled to get the hori split pad pros to fit on my switch. Once I took off the thin case case, the oled + split pads fit just fine in the dock.
