My only gripe is that the totems arent actually carved, they are just logs. I hope in the future they can add new models for them, otherwise fantastic mod!

In-case anyone is wondering- the faces for the totem pole are done now. They look rad
the constant and unyielding metallic tinking of what I assume are the wind chimes is slowly boring it's way into my brain. I will hear this sound in the background of my nightmares for decades; the soundtrack for my slow and steady slip into the darkness of insanity. Tink... Tink... _Tink..._

Pro-tip for music: The wind chimes actually provide bonus music more efficiently if placed underneath a leaf block, rather than any other block. Also, having a flute/eagle bone whistle/rattle in one hand, and another of the above in your off hand; then just spamming right click? This actually causes you to alternate between the two instruments at random, allowing for pretty easy varying of your musical instrument. The same happens with having one of the above instruments in hand, and spamming right click on a drum-you'll alternate between playing the flute/whatever, and banging the drum. Haven't tested if having an instrument in each hand AND aiming at a drum will properly alternate between all three instruments.
Ah, you already covered all that. My bad. XD
But I did notice one small mistake: Actually, right-clicking a wind chime without holding shift DOES do something....while you've got the meters up to show you're trying to perform a ritual, right-clicking a wind chime with both hands empty will cause it to ring immediately, provided that specific chime hasn't rung too recently.

If you place chimes underneath leaves their effect is better then under other blocks ( you might need it to summon baykok)

Oh man is this outdated. The Zavkeil waltz is now the Rite of Spring and there is no flute imbuing ceremony.

I wonder how much has changed in two years, whether 10~ chimes is viable, but I wasn't sure if the eagle bone and pan's flute [current name] are interchangable, or melodically additive. so didn't think I could swap between them for a musical boost when things get tough.

I have been looking for a magic centric mod to accompany a modpack I'm putting together for a skyblocks. I have the ideal tec mods, but for lack of refinement I haven't much in the way of magic. Nothing is working because the mods themself are eather too video ram heavy for the limit I set or mid to late game magic and I wanted early game magic options.

I think the toms giving you instant effects are a little to op
anyone know why my totems turn into heads instead of pillars? i cant make it higher than 2 blocks(e.g if i make it an ocelot totem, all of the wood i turn into pillars just turns into the head, the base still works though)

Tell me, please, that the enderman totem gives enough seconds of night vision that it's not constantly wearing off and causing the world to flash? Please?
It's one of the few that has a slightly bigger range. I suggest a medicine bag though.
Trouble wasn't the range in the older version, it was the duration. Because when nightvision is failing, the screen blinks, for the last 5 seconds of the potion effect. So if the totem does not refresh you at about 7 seconds, you get a blinking screen a few times a minute, even when standing next to the totem... not fun.
As long as you're in the area, it should constantly be above 10 seconds.
EPIC. This means the one thing that bothered me about this mod, is fixed. I love this mod.
How do you build a flute? The crafting recipe says it needs an intact grass block. But short of a silktouch tool I'm not sure how to get that. Especially in age 0.
Regular grass works.
It took me a while to realize it had to be sheared in order for the grass to remain intact. I got it, finally. Thanks for the advice!
Unless the mod has changed the nature of the effect, haste does not affect attack speed.
I tested with a diamond sword and axe and both swung faster. *shrug* I realize it isn't standard for vanilla haste but hey, I'll take it.
Yeah, the weird thing about haste on swords is they appear to swing faster, but it doesn't affect the attack timer in any way. Lazy programming or something :P
before the combat update haste did not actually change ur dpm , after the cb update haste does change hit timing.
a simple test would be try using a tinkers construct 2 cleaver with a haste effect and without haste.

those bells... so annoying
i absolutely hate this mod, its so horribly designed.
only good part about it is the totems themselves, the dances however are absolute shit.
