Similarly with cars. And these are our taxes we pay to fund their opulence. No Kenyan can get these rates. So why should representative of the people enjoy such benefits when they are servants of the people. You chose to become an Mp or senator because you want to better peoples lives not yours. Thats why legislators are far removed from the day to day struggles of the people. Their incensitivity is mind boggling. They put bread, milk and sanitary pads for a tax hike. Remove school feeding programs which many kids this is the only meal theyt will get because they have no food at home, But guess what they cut taxes on helicopters. All these funds need to be channelled towards school feeding programs all across the country. This will benefit the children to learn, farmers in those areas can be encouraged to provide the produce spurring growth even in the most remote villages because farmers will have a ready market. The NGO food4education which started a successfull feeding program should get the funds and set up kitchens like they have done in Nairobi and mombasa. We need to stop pampering these folk. if you want to be a legislator know what you are getting into and stop complaining no one forced you to become an elected leader its a choice you make..
