Uhuru Kenyatta is a dignified and highly respected Pan Africanist. He deserves better than this and William Ruto had better thread carefully. Withdrawing security detail from a 90 year old woman? Just terrible!
As a Cameroonian, I feel terrible about what is being done to this former president. He was selfless enough to leave power and not hang on to power like in Cameroon. He can continue with politics why not? In the US former presidents continue to campaign for candidates at local and presidential levels. He's still young and stays in Kenya unlike others who are still in power yet spending all their time abroad, governing from the west. He's is democratic. Compare him to bongo, marki sarl, Paul biya, and the other African countries we all know. He's still better.

He is retired why going for him, even more...going for his mum, an old woman and his children is even more childish. I don’t know a lot about Kenyan politics but one thing I know for sure thou Kenya relatively peaceful country in East Africa and I have much respect and love to Kenya and Kenyans what ever going on in Kenyans politics be calm and patient and take peaceful resolutions instead of being emotional or enemies to each others like your crazy neighbors.
