Thanks for the list. As a longtime Hashimoto's patient and retired RN, I must tell you that iodized salt is never a good idea as it stimulates the thyroid gland. (The goal in treatment is to reduce your thyroid activity so that your body will stop attacking it.) Non-iodized pink Himalayan is my go-to. I encourage you to research.
I was cleaning out my baking shelf yesterday and found two old bottles of homemade vanilla. I’m glad to find out that they’re still good. Thank you for this video!
Thank you! I have almost all of these in my working pantry but today I will go to the store and add those to my long term storage. Thanks again for your timely reminder and storage advice. Jack
Reminds me of when Cordelia tells her father King Lear that she loves him like meat loves salt. A good list of pantry essentials. Hubby would also include fish sauce, hoisin sauce and capers. Thanks for being part of #Stocktober!
I have nearly everything uou mentioned ... a couple that you didn't. I don't have any rosemary, soy sauce, or Worcestershire sauce. I guess I should get some. A couple of things about sweeteners: DON'T vacuum seal sugar! It will also turn into a brick! Sugar substitutes also store well.
You made me laugh when you tasted the pepper. I tried it also and mine was also still good. Pretty sure it is way over 3-4 years old but it is still good!😊
My can't live without is a strange one to some people, but I'm a "cookie queen" so.....lemon oil. Yes, you can use extract, but oil is much more intense so you need less to get that flavor.
Ha ha! I went avoiding salt for 15 YEARS! Yes, yes I did, because it made me Sick! I had switched to Sea Salt and no better! Ineven changed my Pickles because of salt, reducing salt and vinegar. Pepper? I use it once a year on tomato sandwiches! I don't get why people adore it. Now give me cinnamon, cloves, molasses, honey, sage, Thyme and Intalian Seasoning? I am good to go! Nice if I have onion or garlic powder..... Coffee, tea. I don't use Powdered milk or tinned, but I did get some in stock "in case". I am hoing to Can my fresh milk for shelves next. Soya Sauce is bad unless it is the old style Fermented Process.
Welcome to Stocktober!

Great info😊 Stocktober!!!
My magic spices are Oregano, garlic, onion and pepper, this is what I stock the most.

Same for my husband
Glad to say I have all you listed..and multiple amounts. I even had homemade vanilla
Hard wheatberries, soft wheatberries, spelt berries, kamut berries are important to grind your own flour!
Great video. I am grateful for your explanation of the uses for a few of these necessities. Thank you for participating in this collaboration 😊
Thanks Prepper. I have almost all of the items you mentioned. I need the billion cubes and iodized salt.

I keep peppercorns as well. They last longer.

Such a great list
Great information!
Good info! Thank you🤗
Thank you for all of the information.
Great video
Love all your videos. Did you do a video on storing almond flower? I think I missed it if you did.
No, I have not
Worcestershire sauce is great splashed onto cheese on toast.
Pure Vanilla extract mixed with water is a great mosquito repellant.
I have plenty of liquid smoke also. Try it in your baked beans, roasts, burgers..& sauces.
We've always called it "wur/sta/sure" sauce. Tomato, tomahto, right?
Cool dry place is difficult in Florida. Any suggestions?
Rotate food more often? I am not really sure. Here in Michigan we have basements which is helpful for maintaining a cooler temp.
Good informational video, thanks for sharing, YAH bless !
Sage is the easiest thing to grow year around!!
Except for the hot sauce I have all of these, including the home made vanilla.
❤🎉❤
Excellent
Gotta have some heat!

You don’t get enough iodine from salt. You need sea kelp in your diet. Or take iodine drops.
