during the montage i really love the human bosses, they're like: "Come Hide, let us fight in honorable combat" and you just straight blast them in the face with a rifle before burying a thousand kunai in their back
Love watching your builds and replicate them on my screen. Still remember the Susano build that helped me clear 999 levels of abyss. Definitely gonna try this build.
Ohhhh my god! THAT is what the Storm Kunai does? I've been avoiding it because I just thought it was some fan of three kunai. I need that in my skill tree now.
I’m level 80 and this is already what I’m doing in vanilla having a Dex build.. I killed Onryoki with basically 2 x Poison Surikens and 7 Kunai. Dex definitely makes this game easy with Ninjitsu.
Remember when Team Ninja solved the "shoot the human boss in the head before the fight starts" cheese by making them spawn after you get closer... two steps forward, one step back.

@@becek Ninjutsu, specifically probably damage, and/or they will nerf just otakemaru. Unless they'll just nerf both but ninjutsu is probably gonna get nerfed, because if you played nioh 1, you'll know that they nerfed the weakness and sloth talismans because they were just too OP so yeah.
It doesnt Matter, after they nerfed it, it still was strong enough to beat everything. Btw the livingweapon builds were more op than Ninja builds. So it doesnt matter. A spanish guy found a really nice Poison Odachi/Katana build that is 10times more op than Ninja Kunai build. So ist just a funny game. They dont need to nerf anything. They just should bring more Content. Nioh 2 is for me just like Nioh 1 1.5 I think Team Ninja should work more for contents or a real new Nioh game.

@@NsaiyN you need quality umbracite to be able to get those on your gear when you temper. It should be right below the normal umbracite options. You get quality umbracite by doing twilight missions

Kohjiro Anderson shuriken and kunai damage is guaranteed but ninjutsu power is not. Go to the blacksmith and reforge the effects to get it. One ninjitsu power is about 0.5% kunai damage so don’t stress about it too much early game until about region 4 or 5.

How did you get greet tier Kanto set? The dojo only gives me yellow or blue at best? Also, do you know what specific level you get the amulet? I beat the game but didn’t get it.
Love the build! I'm still quite early on because I'm trying to take my sweet time with it and beating everything without a dedicated build but I'll definitely switch to this after I finish my first playthrough! I'd love to see some melee builds (specifically spear!) rather than pushing Otakemaru further, especially if it's going to be nerfed soon anyway. Thanks for the content!
Don't call Otakemaru broken because they might patch it hehehe. I just got mine a couple of days ago and oh my god. But you definitely need affixes etc. to help with building that anima. I took the skill in shifting and upgraded it 3 times so when you loot a soul core drop it heals you for 80% of your health and recharges you to full anima gauge. I'm loving it. Great videos as always. I watched you in Nioh 1 too.
If you are referring to how he is able to move his camera to view his character in a standing position in the hut area, you just touch pad while on the map(mission select screen?) and view your gear.
It's certainly strong but it also certainly does NOT "melt" the final boss on NG+. I love how you showcase this build only on bosses that don't block the shit out of thrown weapons.
Mikkel Birkholm just forge your own gear and roll for what you want even in ng+. Pwar does a great job of showing you how you can go about this in general when setting up builds.
You can literally break this wide open the second you can get Shinobi gear and Kunai in Region 1. It only gets better from there. This is likely the best possible build before NG+.
thank you for talking about the 6 piece Kato Set, specifically Damage Bonus Ninjutsu Power. Everyone keeps saying its the best, but I tested myself and found almost no damage boost even at Ninjutsu Power around 700. There seems to be a lot of confusion around this. Thank you for clarifying. PWARGaming I beat the game without any specific build the anima spirit attacks are good enough to carry you through some bosses so that helped I also beat way of the strong it wasn’t too bad tbh
@@carlxwin308 Thats interesting but there are lots of things to consider. I THINK the damage bonus ninjutsu dont apply to shuriken and kunai itself, just melee atk or ranged, didnt test yet, and if thats the case, then ofc a extra 45 ninjutsu will result in more damage. I'm using full kato mostly cos I prefer to kill stuff in melee, and just use S&K for when things get ugly. TLDR, full kato might be a better choice if you like to fight in melee and IF damage bonus ninjutsu dont apply to ninjutsu itself, but if you wanna play pure S&K, then yea, 5 Kato 3 Iga.
And he's not doing DLC content , those aren't real bosses. see he's on the lowest difficulty. I have five hundred hours in the game I have Platinum for nioh 1 and 2. I can tell you right now with 300% ninja throw damage 100 dexterity 100 skill and storm kunai's that deal 3000 damage a each, tokichuro will one hit you on hardest difficulty. Ninja is not viable for dps, and your dmg reduction is based solely on your agility. My ninja build has almost 6,000 defense it as A toughness and it has A agility and it gets less than 8% damage reduction. My fat roller build has 4,000 defense, A toughness and C agility and it has 27% flat damage reduction. Defense does not matter. If you wear paper you will be one shot buy a single Skeleton on any 380 + 20 map. Bosses at higher difficulty are red colored and they have a seriously heinous buff that can only be dispelled via purity
@@derisathartfelt this was done BEFORE dlc released dipshit. and this is on ng+ which WAS the highest difficulty at the time. cmon bruh. use your eyes and don't be desperate to downplay someone cuz you didn't take 2 seconds to view the video release date.
no, kunai is no longer viable in the highest difficulty, and likely for the next dlc as well unless we get some serious buff/skill for them. however, i do have a build that's basically the same setup, just using feathers and sword damage instead. its called "yoshimitsu build" on my channel. can kill yoshistune before he even does phase 2, which is the hardest boss from the newest dlc.

hi project i can't seem to inherit the fixed orange stat with kunai damage gloves , and maxing the familiarity on gloves won't pass over to to my other armour pieces ? in noioh 1 i done this a billion times , do have to complete ng+ to unlock an option I'm at end game there nearly anyway
hello, with patch 1.09 the Flying Kato 6 piece bonus has been buffed from A to AAA-. is it worth now to take it over the 45 ninjutsu power from Iga Ninja 3 pieces bonus?

Yea well... this build just got killed. Otakemaru is nerfed to oblivion and Dream of the Demon is so tanky you will run out of throwables well before you reach the 50% HP mark. Any new ideas?
pwar can you tell me, the gold stat, can you have multiple and inherite them to a piece? lets say, you find 1 with attack, and put it on chest, and another with mabye something else, can i then inherite both into my chest? since you have full list of affixes, also can you find gold stat with etc sign of the cross or moonlite snow?
Yes. Orange inheritables lose their inherit symbol after you out them on an item, mea king you can put another, or a white (which will not lose its symbol and can be rerolled to any inheritable)
I'm trying to finish with the story with the Odachi but coming from a Kunai build in the first game this build is making me want to go back quick Especially with all the new Jutsu in Nioh 2
doesn't roll untouched ninjutsu unfortunately :( and i'll take that over any 6pc kato/4pc iga/helm slot any day. the more sustain, the better for this build.
Cool build I had a similar one but used yatsu no kami soul core instead of otakemaru basically the same results! Anima plus op ninjitsu is just broken and funny compared to the steep starting difficulty.
@@davyjones8793 Interesting, kunai damage didnt get a nerf in 1.08. See my point. As long as its not literal game breaking its not gonna be fixed. Only things that get fixed are things that were unintentional in most cases. Anything else is just touch ups. For example, living weapon builds were hit in nioh 1 but were still viable. So i would not worry abouy nerfs unless they are legit breaking the game.
@@ltlsWhatltIs I understand where you are coming from and I agree with you 100%, but when it's in like almost every build video it's a little boring and probably doesn't deserve a nerf at all but rather just portrayed poorly. I got to feel the living weapon critical build with kusari before the nerf and It did deserve it but it was still fun.
@pwargaming does the Stability mystic art affect kunai? if so wouldn't spear be the better weapon for this build over the sword? Especially since the addition of Toshiie's abacus in place of the fan would give you 15% thriple threat damage for when you do have to get into melee.
nah doesn't effect kunai. toshi can't roll untouched ninjutsu so you'd lose that near 5% for spear dmg (which again isn't great for the build) or a different helm, which i'd argue 5% untouched to be better since dmg is fine enough.

Hi I just wanted to know if nioh 2 is easy to play and easy to learn? I hear a lot of great things about this game but I want to know if it’s worth picking up or not.
Frugality can be useful to keep using kunai without wasting it. I'm just a bit disappointed that the stats on all Equipment Sets are very similar to each other, they aren't unique anymore, Iga Set used to refill a % of your Ninjutsu every time you activated your Living Weapon, now it's gone.
Yeah cuz living weapon is gone and if it was tied to yokai shift it'd be garbage. I miss the old iga set but living weapon and builds around it were flat out op
@@codywalker1041 I understand what you're saying, it's just the lack of uniqueness of the sets now, they replaced that stat on the Iga Set by a mundane "Increase Attack & Defense (Spear) +40" There's only a few sets in Nioh 2 that seem to have some cool stats rn, like the one Tokishiro uses towards the end (forgot the name of the set) and the one from Nioh 1 (Seven Misfortunes, 8 Hardships set aka General Kigetsu set), the other ones are just meh since they pushed the most powerful stats down the list so you have to wear more pieces of that set leaving no room to mix sets with a Yasakani Magatama.
@@RogueSeraph no I agree with you I was only specifically commenting on the iga set. But yes. Most sets are pretty generic. I think Flying Kato is one of the cooler sets in the game cuz it actually feels thought out.

2v KinG it’s the skills on gear that have the symbol next to them that look like an arrow pointing between two bars if you max the familiarity and then soul match it to the gear you want the inheritable on it’ll transfer over
I made this build or one almost identical to it. Have not done more than 5 missions in the first two regions in NG+. Can farm Yasakani in first region in The Greedy Hunter mission. I got two Yasakani from 3 hours farming this mission, there is a RUclips video on this, super fast and easy run. As for the inheritable join a Discord (RUclipsr named Oni I think) has a discord for Nioh 2 in the links of his videos with a revenant trading section. Many helpful members that will drop for you whatever you need or want. I got skills, weapon damage, Kunai and untouched ninjitsu from discord members. Best revenant trading area I have found so far which I am still farming for build is dark omens mission in the first two regions. Even with whatever nerfs this build is attack/damage strong but is armor weak. It is an evasive kill opponent fast build. Unless you have an upper hand do not bother engaging in melee combat. Last note is this build is a easy single large boss killer. Go in with a blue NPC, let the boss Agro on NPC and just wreck the boss from a safe distance.
I missed these videos. Goddamn. I'm still early on in the game (region 2) but man it's so fun. I'm doing the kunai/shuriken build but also gimping myself a little by pumping up heart cause I love using the sword. Can't wait to see your other builds.
That's the cool thing about the build. you can be op op or you can just use your weapon and whittle the health down of mobs normally :p the armor and stats don't enhance your weapon so you can do the fun combo shit that some people like without killing things too fast.
Hey bro does the luck in yoki shift conflict with your base luck or does everything add together when you go into yoki shift? For instance my base luck is 190 but shift luck is 70
It adds that luck to your base stat. In the first Nioh there were effects that gave extra drop rate while killing an enemy with living weapon and that also stacked with the base luck stat.
The build is op but I suggest to us Kawanami kusarigama instead sword and flying Kato helmet instead mataza’s helmet to get the 6 pc bonuses cuse anytime you run out of shurikens sword can’t do the job for you but we have 99 dexterity and kusarigama can be helpful here. Tanks for the build still don’t chance to get a single ninjutsu perk on my yasakani
you used kusaragami in the beginning, why change to sword?? Whats the extra benefits for changing..I my self use kusaragami, and staring to leveling up the sword three would take ages..Is it worth it?
The sword and spear are both required for the set bonuses. I personally main the spear because of the many benefits it has. Best parry, agile, strong etc.
Do you think using Toshiie's Abacus for the Master of Spears bonus in the accessory slot is worth the loss of untouched ninjitsu on your second accessory? Also, this allows you to keep the 6 piece bonus of Master of Illusion...although the damage actually isn't much. Thoughts?
The 6 piece was buffed yesterday and is now definitely worth having, I don't recommend Toshiee's abacus since it can't roll untouched Ninjutsu tho. Just use 6 piece Kato and 3 piece Iga and use a Kasha soul core for movement buff.

untouched rolls only on gloves/chest. gotta inherit it to everything else. the builds dmg is only possible if you can get the orange inheritable kunai dmg% gloves from revenants. its pretty popular drop in reddit in stuff, but yah, only way to get both effects on one piece, excluding chest/gloves

yanih7 I beat the game with no build the yokai attacks helped me a lot during my play though I’d recommend focusing on those

Builds are pretty much useless untilng+, but you can follow what he said in the beginning about which pieces of equipment are good for kunai damage

This video is before it got buffed from A to AAA. Its significantly better than anything else now with 700+ ninjutsu power

Flying Kato last set bonus status is now "Damage Bonus (Ninjutsu Power) AAA-" so I supose its worth going full Flying Kato now?

I'm using full kato mostly cos I prefer to kill stuff in melee, and just use S&K for when things get ugly.
TLDR, full kato might be a better choice if you like to fight in melee and IF damage bonus ninjutsu dont apply to ninjutsu itself, but if you wanna play pure S&K, then yea, 5 Kato 3 Iga.

And he's not doing DLC content , those aren't real bosses. see he's on the lowest difficulty. I have five hundred hours in the game I have Platinum for nioh 1 and 2. I can tell you right now with 300% ninja throw damage 100 dexterity 100 skill and storm kunai's that deal 3000 damage a each, tokichuro will one hit you on hardest difficulty. Ninja is not viable for dps, and your dmg reduction is based solely on your agility.
My ninja build has almost 6,000 defense it as A toughness and it has A agility and it gets less than 8% damage reduction. My fat roller build has 4,000 defense, A toughness and C agility and it has 27% flat damage reduction. Defense does not matter. If you wear paper you will be one shot buy a single Skeleton on any 380 + 20 map.
Bosses at higher difficulty are red colored and they have a seriously heinous buff that can only be dispelled via purity

no, kunai is no longer viable in the highest difficulty, and likely for the next dlc as well unless we get some serious buff/skill for them. however, i do have a build that's basically the same setup, just using feathers and sword damage instead. its called "yoshimitsu build" on my channel. can kill yoshistune before he even does phase 2, which is the hardest boss from the newest dlc.

Meechy set bonuses always are active you just won’t get the other effects on your secondary

hi project i can't seem to inherit the fixed orange stat with kunai damage gloves , and maxing the familiarity on gloves won't pass over to to my other armour pieces ? in noioh 1 i done this a billion times , do have to complete ng+ to unlock an option I'm at end game there nearly anyway
hello, with patch 1.09 the Flying Kato 6 piece bonus has been buffed from A to AAA-. is it worth now to take it over the 45 ninjutsu power from Iga Ninja 3 pieces bonus?

Yea well... this build just got killed. Otakemaru is nerfed to oblivion and Dream of the Demon is so tanky you will run out of throwables well before you reach the 50% HP mark. Any new ideas?

Yes. Orange inheritables lose their inherit symbol after you out them on an item, mea king you can put another, or a white (which will not lose its symbol and can be rerolled to any inheritable)

feathers are fun. could always go hybrid odachi ninjutsu. break ki with odach than slam a feather for ohko
You can equip Toshiies Abacus as the second accessory and get the master of spears 2 piece bonus, to free up the helmet bonus as well!
doesn't roll untouched ninjutsu unfortunately :( and i'll take that over any 6pc kato/4pc iga/helm slot any day. the more sustain, the better for this build.

Cool build I had a similar one but used yatsu no kami soul core instead of otakemaru basically the same results! Anima plus op ninjitsu is just broken and funny compared to the steep starting difficulty.

Interesting, kunai damage didnt get a nerf in 1.08. See my point. As long as its not literal game breaking its not gonna be fixed. Only things that get fixed are things that were unintentional in most cases. Anything else is just touch ups. For example, living weapon builds were hit in nioh 1 but were still viable. So i would not worry abouy nerfs unless they are legit breaking the game.
@@ltlsWhatltIs I understand where you are coming from and I agree with you 100%, but when it's in like almost every build video it's a little boring and probably doesn't deserve a nerf at all but rather just portrayed poorly. I got to feel the living weapon critical build with kusari before the nerf and It did deserve it but it was still fun.
@pwargaming does the Stability mystic art affect kunai? if so wouldn't spear be the better weapon for this build over the sword? Especially since the addition of Toshiie's abacus in place of the fan would give you 15% thriple threat damage for when you do have to get into melee.
nah doesn't effect kunai. toshi can't roll untouched ninjutsu so you'd lose that near 5% for spear dmg (which again isn't great for the build) or a different helm, which i'd argue 5% untouched to be better since dmg is fine enough.

Frugality can be useful to keep using kunai without wasting it.
I'm just a bit disappointed that the stats on all Equipment Sets are very similar to each other, they aren't unique anymore, Iga Set used to refill a % of your Ninjutsu every time you activated your Living Weapon, now it's gone.
Yeah cuz living weapon is gone and if it was tied to yokai shift it'd be garbage. I miss the old iga set but living weapon and builds around it were flat out op
@@codywalker1041 I understand what you're saying, it's just the lack of uniqueness of the sets now, they replaced that stat on the Iga Set by a mundane "Increase Attack & Defense (Spear) +40"
There's only a few sets in Nioh 2 that seem to have some cool stats rn, like the one Tokishiro uses towards the end (forgot the name of the set) and the one from Nioh 1 (Seven Misfortunes, 8 Hardships set aka General Kigetsu set), the other ones are just meh since they pushed the most powerful stats down the list so you have to wear more pieces of that set leaving no room to mix sets with a Yasakani Magatama.
@@RogueSeraph no I agree with you I was only specifically commenting on the iga set. But yes. Most sets are pretty generic. I think Flying Kato is one of the cooler sets in the game cuz it actually feels thought out.

2v KinG it’s the skills on gear that have the symbol next to them that look like an arrow pointing between two bars if you max the familiarity and then soul match it to the gear you want the inheritable on it’ll transfer over
2v KinG it’s green which is end game gear you unlock when you beat the game it’s better than purple
I made this build or one almost identical to it. Have not done more than 5 missions in the first two regions in NG+. Can farm Yasakani in first region in The Greedy Hunter mission. I got two Yasakani from 3 hours farming this mission, there is a RUclips video on this, super fast and easy run. As for the inheritable join a Discord (RUclipsr named Oni I think) has a discord for Nioh 2 in the links of his videos with a revenant trading section. Many helpful members that will drop for you whatever you need or want. I got skills, weapon damage, Kunai and untouched ninjitsu from discord members. Best revenant trading area I have found so far which I am still farming for build is dark omens mission in the first two regions. Even with whatever nerfs this build is attack/damage strong but is armor weak. It is an evasive kill opponent fast build. Unless you have an upper hand do not bother engaging in melee combat. Last note is this build is a easy single large boss killer. Go in with a blue NPC, let the boss Agro on NPC and just wreck the boss from a safe distance.
I missed these videos. Goddamn. I'm still early on in the game (region 2) but man it's so fun. I'm doing the kunai/shuriken build but also gimping myself a little by pumping up heart cause I love using the sword. Can't wait to see your other builds.
That's the cool thing about the build. you can be op op or you can just use your weapon and whittle the health down of mobs normally :p the armor and stats don't enhance your weapon so you can do the fun combo shit that some people like without killing things too fast.
Hey bro does the luck in yoki shift conflict with your base luck or does everything add together when you go into yoki shift? For instance my base luck is 190 but shift luck is 70
It adds that luck to your base stat. In the first Nioh there were effects that gave extra drop rate while killing an enemy with living weapon and that also stacked with the base luck stat.

The build is op but I suggest to us Kawanami kusarigama instead sword and flying Kato helmet instead mataza’s helmet to get the 6 pc bonuses cuse anytime you run out of shurikens sword can’t do the job for you but we have 99 dexterity and kusarigama can be helpful here. Tanks for the build still don’t chance to get a single ninjutsu perk on my yasakani
you used kusaragami in the beginning, why change to sword?? Whats the extra benefits for changing..I my self use kusaragami, and staring to leveling up the sword three would take ages..Is it worth it?
The sword and spear are both required for the set bonuses. I personally main the spear because of the many benefits it has. Best parry, agile, strong etc.
Kato is such a tool with that quick change scroll when farming him.
You can wait for it to wear off. Takes about 30 secs. Unless you kill him fast already

Do you think using Toshiie's Abacus for the Master of Spears bonus in the accessory slot is worth the loss of untouched ninjitsu on your second accessory? Also, this allows you to keep the 6 piece bonus of Master of Illusion...although the damage actually isn't much. Thoughts?
The 6 piece was buffed yesterday and is now definitely worth having, I don't recommend Toshiee's abacus since it can't roll untouched Ninjutsu tho. Just use 6 piece Kato and 3 piece Iga and use a Kasha soul core for movement buff.

I'm having trouble getting Untouched Ninjutsu on Waistguard and Greaves, is it just luck through Temper items or you'll have to find them like that?
untouched rolls only on gloves/chest. gotta inherit it to everything else. the builds dmg is only possible if you can get the orange inheritable kunai dmg% gloves from revenants. its pretty popular drop in reddit in stuff, but yah, only way to get both effects on one piece, excluding chest/gloves
