My epilepsy cut short my munro bagging for at least the next 12 months as I've had 2 recent seizures after near 5 years with none and I can no longer drive as a result. I suppose I'm going to be experiencing the hills through your vlogs for the foreseeable. Always thought Ben Avon looked awfully pretty and wanted to go up sooner rather than later as a result. Some of the scenery you shot in this clip has only made me all the more desperate to get up it!

It’s about time you got wet! 😂. That lucky streak had to come to an end sooner or later! Two more off the list though. Well done. 👍

Great vid James and good to see those 2 Munro’s again! Did those a few times in the winter with thick fog and never saw the views 😂! Navigation was a challenge 😅

Your local munros and so many still to do 😂
I dumped my bike before the ruined lodge and was kicking myself , its a good track past it , a long walk back.
Your now on 222, still stuck on 217 due to ingrown toe nail surgery , been off the hills for more than two months , good to see your still banging them in 👍

More beautiful camera work James. Personally I am not really a great fan of out and back routes unless they are only going to 1 point. Continuing round the Beinn a' Bhuird plateau with its stunning views over the cliffs seems to me to make a much more interesting route although I might not have thought so in that downpour.

Good shout taking a bike! I climbed Ben Avon a few years back following the same route as yourself, but did the whole thing on foot. That was a big mistake as I was literally hobling back to the car by the end. Despite the significant discomfort to my feet, it was a great day and glad you got the views on your visit. Hope you manage to bag the rest of the Munros this year, and curious to see which one you choose to finish on.

Nice one, James - and good you had some company, too. Those sure are odd-looking boulders at the top of Ben Avon - especially the one with the two large "eyes" to the left, the likes of which I've only ever seen at places such as the Falls of Dochart, where small whirlpools have hovered above for almost immeasurable amounts of time - and proof, if any were needed; that what used to stand around these parts was an awful lot bigger than what's there now! You didn't look overly comfortable in that wind and, shame about the effect of the cloud level on the other top, but at least it stayed there - for the walking parts at any rate!! Hopefully you had a wee flask of coffee lurking in your van, as there's nothing quite like it after a soaking, is there?

Hi James, great video as always mate, those mountains in the Cairngorms have some bulk to them don’t they. That rain must have come out of the blue, at no point did it look like it was going to pour down. Thanks for sharing your adventure as always

Nice video again James. I did this walk a few weeks ago, my last pair in the cairngorms. And I agree, they are among the finest. Such Bulk. I didn’t get the bike as far as you, and regretted it! I did a loop around the corries on Beinn a Bhuird and they are superb! Some of the best. Thanks !

@@ScottishMunroJourney It's a fab place, forests are as wild as they come. If you do go, there's a small car park on the road up to it, after that you can't drive further unless you're staying there. Have fun!
