We climbed Stob Ban as part of the Boots Across Scotland Munro Day. As a committee member I was sent to one that no one else wanted to go to! I just remember the really, really long walk in and out in snow and low cloud. We got to the top, saw absolutely nothing at all and marched back to the start point. I'm glad you've done it so I can now see what I missed. Thank you.

    Another well done James.
And much respect and consideration for the stalkers.
As you’ve indicated, better to work with em than not.
    Nice one James👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Nice one, at least you were not chased off the hill by the guys with the guns. Thanks for answering about using a mountain bike as I hope to visit the bothy then head for the Corbetts you mentioned in June 24.

I was on Meall a'Bhuiridh at the exact same time as you were on Stob Ban and the view south over towards Bridge of Orchy was stunning at 11am with the sunlight filtering through the clouds. A real treat for me as I have a very poor track record of visibility from Munros.

Thank you James I needed something enjoyable and relaking as life is full of stress at the moment. Great pity you couldn't fly the drone. I guess that one consolation for not having tagged it on with the Gey Corries is that you missed one of the roughest quarzite slopes from that side. A really great round is to do Stob Ban with your unnamed Corbett, Sgurr Inse, and Cruach Inse. Sgurr Inse is really special.
And also an official second round only starts after the first one ends. That's why I don't claim multiple rounds although I've been up them all multiple times.

I enjoyed this 1 earlier in the year. Was 1st outing since my operation n decided after I done Stob Ban to carry on and do the 3 on the ridge.
Tough day but was so rewarding and I scored with beautiful weather.
Great video as always James 👍🏻

Well done, and amazing views. The Grey corries are easily recognisable from many places, but ive not walked them. I love thet silence when out walking, theres been a couple of days like that recently. Not many more before ""compeation" traditional spelling 😁 .....Alioban

A full suspension bike is overkill if just using to approach the hills. Extra weight, complexity, not to mention expense 🚴🏼‍♂️

Great video James, I always feel nervous around men with guns as well (they are mostly after pheasants down here, it sounds like WW3 has kicked off most weekends this time of year)

I am really sorry about what you saw next to the bothy. Sorry for many reasons. I have this idea about how it can happen: novices who are on their first trips just have so much to learn - technique, gear, weather, geography and routes that they just go up and litter severely or defaecate because they dont know know they are unprepared until they are there and its happening. But its just a speculation. On the other hand there is something I saw in Edinburgh one night. Two men in 20s walked up to a Council library door unzipped their trousers and urinated on the door handle. How do we cope? Its not easy, but I have seen two utuber women on finding faeces all around the bothy just took an hr digging it all up with bothy shovel and moving it out to distance and burying it. Thx for posting. JMO

Unfortunately, too much wealth and knoweldge bring out the inconsiderate types, James - and on such subjects as that, you can rant away, for me. The only blessing is that having done it now, they're unlikely to be back as they'll have moved onto some other expensive pursuit or toy, come the New Year... Not like you - Mr Considerate - but I congratulate you on qualifying for that title, so, fear not!
