The EBA is my first fish. Bought a 30 gallon for him. Got him as a baby when he was under an inch long. 6 months later he’s 3-4 inches longer and his colors are AMAZING. It’s been so easy taking care of him. I’ve had corydora die and struggle but he remains healthy and growing

all they really ask for is sustained temperature , and are so easy to feed, pretty much eat anything available

I tried EBAs for the first time a couple of months ago and it did not work out well. After watching this, I think I will try again and get them from a different source. Thank you, great timing!

I really like the dark colored one. That seems like it might be interesting to breed out. Kinda like the black out blue rams or what ever they were called. They are kinda like a smaller electric blue jack dempsy but much less likely to become a murder machine.

Yep, she’s a very pretty female! Great example of what you want out of an EBA.

New to fish keeping Im thinking about getting a 40breeder tank Can one EBA live by itself or do I need two them to keep the stress level down. I know I will probably need a larger tank if I need two. I would like to have one EBA w/ a couple of Rams or dwarf gourami in a 40b is that ok?

My eba got a Otto stuck in his mouth and I had to get it out with tweezers because he was dying. 6 months later he started hiding, not eating, general cure, expel p, and kanaplex didn't help and he died. He was having trouble breathing really fast. I still don't know what was wrong

Do you think 1 EBA can do well in an established 75 gallon low tech planted tank?

Oh, never heard of these in the wild here in Aus, sadly we have Geophagus brasiliensis as well as Tilapia in the wild, they are a menace. Beautiful fish in tanks or in their natural range. Grrrr.

If you’re referring to the Albino Threadfin Acara, which I’ve kept and love, Dan’s Fish has them in stock now 😁

It's hard to kill them guys I'm pretty good at it for some reason along with rainbows. I just can't seem to keep rainbows and these alive they grow to be big and then just die makes me mad.
