+Truman Kelly this country is vast and multicultural you're not losing anything by other people believing in in something. You're a pretty shit Australian to be islamaphobic, it says in our national anthem that we welcome everyone because we have plenty of space.
AgainstAllOdds053 Australia has a nasty attitude toward immigrants, but there are working holiday visas in both countries. Do you want to immigrate or just a working holiday?

@@TokyoBalletReprise In my experience in Australia, it depend what I was buying. After factoring in the exchange rate, most things were indeed more expensive than in Canada, but some things (wine for example) were much cheaper. This is a long time ago, though.
Haha, as a Canadian at first I was saying "Go to Canada." Then when I saw it was really Toronto Vs. Sydney I thought "Go to Sydney! Dear god go to Sydney!"
I will now give the only sane rational answer in this entire comment section: Canada and Australia are both amazing unique countries filled with great people. They are very different places but have many similarities and the truth is you can't go wrong picking either country.
+Mark AD Nope, most criminals were voted out and the refugees are being vetted thoroughly before they arrive. Refugees need legit sponsors in Canada to be allowed in. Also the sponsors have to show that they can support them financially. Its money for the govt. and more workers for corporations. However I think they made some mistakes with the Sri Lankan refugees.
What a croc of shit! I am an Australian Man and would never lay a finger on a female. To do so is considered gutless and shameful. And more people are killed by bears in the USA than Australians killed by our so called dangerous wildlife. You can easily outrun a snake or spider. you cant outrun a bear. I feel much safer hiking in the Australian Bush than in Yosemite or Yellowstone or British Columbia for that matter..
Nate Australia as its spring here right now it isn't to hot or to cold and summers next tbh Australia isn't to cold or to hot personally I prefer Australia they have great and more friendly ppl then Canada but they are both wonderful (:
i moved to Canada, to Kelowna BC. 4h drive east from Vancouver, in Summer almoust no rain and 30-40 degrees, its called canadian desert and winters are mild around -5C. I was suprised too :)
Been to both and saying Sydney is expensive is oversimplying things. If I can elaborate a tiny bit: trying to enjoy yourself on a small budget is definitely tougher than most cities because options aren't great but living on a mid-high budget (earning 75k USD/Year as a estimate), you certainly get a hell of a lot more. Large size dwellings, great weather, proximity to beaches, financial hub, night life, dining, amenities, parkland, infrastructure, you really can't get that excellent combination anywhere at the price you can get in Sydney.
I'm in australia on the coast, and if u stay around the coast, it will stay warm for most of the day (depends on the season) and u won't need to worry about snow covering the roads and risking a car accident, if u stay in Canebra, it does snow there in winter. December to February is summer, march to may is autumn (fall for u Americans) June to August is winter, September to November is spring :)
I'm Australian and noticed your weather chart was completely wrong for instance January in Sydney are around 30 to 40 degrees max never below 30 middle of day plus other costs way out
The cost data is older than the video is and it is crowd-sourced from Numbeo.com, so it is flawed. As for the climate: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_of_Sydney
Almost every comment on here is about how Australia is better. I don't know if it's more Australians watching this or this is just generally how people feel but, I love Canada. I love where I was born and I wouldn't trade it for anyplace else. While Toronto is expensive so is every other major city and that's why I live in the suburbs like the video says. It's the most diverse city in the world with the best collection of food in the world. I know the cold throws people off but it honestly makes everyday different with the seasonal opportunities. It's honestly not that bad. Every person in this comment section writing about Toronto negatively has probably never even been or they don't see what I see. There is so much to do, eat and enjoy. The commute is bad but guess what, so is every other major cities. That's also why we have this thing called public transit. On top of that, it's not just a great city but Canada as a whole is one of the most beautiful places in the world.
im australian. of course im going to say australian..but id like to go to canada too.. i too love where i was born but ive hear two ppl from canada say they hate canada and canadians and they are themselves..one is a Native and the other isnt..
Canada is one of the most beautiful places on earth and that is the entire truth. What suits one may not suit another. Canada is a much more advanced country than Australia in all ways. Australia would kill me with the heat and I prefer the fall and winter weather. I am sick just now with our Canadian summer here in Ottawa Ontario Canada so Australias summers would literally kill me.
Dont forget CAR INSURANCE RATES. For new drivers Toronto: 400-500$ per month. Sydney: 150-200$ per month. Car Insurance rates in GTA (greater toronto area) are one of most expensive in whole world.
If you vote Democrats go Canada, if you vote Republicans go Australia. If you compare Canada and Australia directly, Australia is right wing and conservative by Canada standards, Canada is ultra left wing and liberal by Australia standards.
chileo1 not really, while it may be true Australia is more conservative than Canada, we are definitely no where near the Republican Party on policy and ideology. It's often said that Australias right wing party is left of the democrats.
chileo1 yeh you did, I'm just disagreeing with your premise that if you vote republican come to Australia. I think many republicans would be very disappointed to find we have tight gun control, woman's rights to abortions, universal healthcare & relatively high taxes.
I've traveled most of the world, and Australia is by far the most homely continent I have ever embraced. I moved my wife and three kids here in Melbourne from Cape Town South Africa, and we couldn't be happier. You need to visit Aus in order to be captivated by its unmatched beauty
Both places offer a good quality of life, so I think the only real issue is whether and location. If you prefer a place that is warm/mild all year round, Australia is the place for you but if you like change in weather, hot and cold, Canada is the better option, especially if you like snow/winter sports. As for location, if you like to travel a lot and you hate long, expensive plane rides, Canada is better located. If you don't travel much and you like being in a more remote place, Australia would be a better option. Both these countries are very similar in a lot of ways and always come out on the top of list of best places to live/quality of life. They both are 2 of the best countries in the world.
I'm Canadian. I've been to Australia. Both are fantastic places. Hockey is far better than Aussie rules football, sorry to say. Nothing beats the sweet sport. But the weather is going to be a determining factor. Living in Toronto provides for a milder winter than most, and I can get behind anything - but it's the long, drawn out spring that drives me crazy. Winter can be sharply cold (i.e. minus 20 degrees Celsius) but that only lasts for a few days at a time. Rarely do you see a weeks long cold snap like that in Toronto. Usually it's in the minus 7 - 10 range for most of the winter. But Spring?? Holy crap, it stays windy and cold from March through to May. A few days of warmth thrown in to tease us, but it is really depressing. Whereas when I was in Melbourne, it seemed like winter was a quick bow to the cold and it was gone. Oh yeah, Australian accents are aggravating. I never got used to them. Now and again in Canada, you hear an Aussie and it sounds quaint. But exposed to a steady diet of it. grrrr. They have a way of making up completely new sounds which just don't make sense. for example, 'home'. simple right? a long 'O' sound. But they put some twist on it and it comes out completely different. If I tried to spell it: 'heyoumme' may come close.
i lived in both country long enought to make a decision , Australia is sunny warm and dry and all this keeps me going, you dont runout of energy like you do here in canada. Here after 6 months of shit weather i am dead exausted. Everything is cheaper in Canada and we have easy access to USA , and in Australia its all big taxes on everything plus its a continent but also and island and a lot of things need to be imported so it is very expensive to live there. So there is good and bad things on both sides.
Australia's taxes and prices are crazy expensive... But having free health care, the second highest HDI, amazingly kind laid back people, amazing wether, beautiful beaches and water, amazing schools and job opportunities with amazing pay. Australia wins for me, 10/10 would move again.
+Arden Macbeth Australia having free health care in a comparison to Canada doesn't really mean much, does it? I know a lot of people like endless summer, but for me four seasons are better. I like both countries, but I'd have to choose Canada.
Julian Smith Free good health care is extremely important. If you are like me and my family and end up in hospital a lot (Mainly because we are a bunch of idiots) it helps us out so much as we don't have to pay for treatment and such. I hated cold winters and snow I despise it. If you like seasons there is always Tassie. But fair points.
I think you may have misunderstood. Like any sane person, I'm in favour of feel health care, but my point was that Australia hasn't cornered the market on it. You don't like the cold, but I don't like the heat and the poisonous snakes and spiders that go along with such a climate, but I would still love to visit Australia, but it's just too hot for me to live there year round.
I find it quite rude how everyone's just saying CANADAS COLD DONT GO. That's not true we have very warm and hot times (ESPECIALLY in spring) and summer too! Both countries are great and since I was 8 I've always wanted to visit Australia but you guys DO have the Venomous Snakes and Spiders so stop saying we have all the problems!!
I have visited Kingston once during the summer and I have not too much of an idea about their winters. Kingston is near the Great Lakes area. Ottawa can be brutal in the winter months and there are places in Ottawa that are mighty cold like on the Rideau River skating in the winter months when the river is frozen as well as walking down on O'Connor Street towards Laurier Avenue - those are cold spots that you don't forget. Each year differs in how cold it is but usually it is very cold. Some people cannot stand the cold and some others cannot tolerate the extreme heat like in Australia. Everyone is different. I would suggest to people if you are going to immigrate to a country go and visit it before hand if you can. When my husband went to visit his brother in Sydney Australia back in 1981 (we live in Canada) and he visited it in the winter months and it was cold inside the homes since there is no central heating like in Canada. My husband found Australia to be way behind our Canada. Everybody likes different places. I knew that Australia was behind our Canada from people who visited there in previous years. Each person is different and what suits one may not suit another.
In all seriousness... if you are coming to Australia... Sydney is the LAST place you would want to live. It's like saying you want to live in New York. It's expensive... and the people are rude. Melbourne and Perth are 1000 times better and have a better standard of living.
The only thing better in Australia than Canada is the warmer weather. If you can stand Canadian winter then it is no brainer. In summary: Canada is better. 1. Closer tie and proximity to the USA makes Cars, houses, food, transportation, clothes cheaper. 2. Lower minimum hourly wages in Canada. Exorbitant in Australia and this is what makes goods an services down-under very expensive. 3. (relates to 1) Jobs are easier to find. 4. This is debatable: Canadians in general is less racist. Racism exist everywhere. You don't have to look very far, the Australian flag still keeps the union jack signifying their tie to Anglo Saxon mother country England. They disrespect the Aboriginese. Canada throws away the union jack in favor of the maple leaf. 5. Snobbish: Australia - in general - especially those of Anglo Aaxon background feel superior to their Asian neighbors. Canadians (not all) are more humble. 6. Australia is a blue collar country and they don't produce and export hi tech goods and if they do then it is of lesser quantity and quality than Canada so if you are a college graduate then you would be better off going to Canada. If you can stand and don't mind the harsh winter then Canada is the better, much better choice. Australia will be doomed and the late Prime Minister of Sngpore once said Australia is the poor white thrash of Asia.
Marvin Hagler I am not sure as to what your nationality is; but your spelling and grammar are quite poor. Your sweeping generalisations are more a product of ignorance, than fact. Australia is the most multicultural country on earth, and for the most part, we get along fine. l am of Anglo Saxon heritage, and l have many Asian and European friends. As for the Aborigines; they are an integral part of our national identity. Yes, they have a great many challenges, but as a nation we are working through them, and making great progress in improving their lives. You my friend are clearly unaware and ill informed.
You can't compare a Dec plane ticket to Australia with a december plane ticket to canada. In December Canada is frozen solid. Who the fuck would go there? December in Australia is peak of the summer holiday season. I know it's just a price comparison but I would prefer to pay double for a ticket to a tropical paradise rather than a frigid, frozen December polar shithole. You get what you pay for.
Australia: Warm Sunny weather even in winter, Beautiful beaches, Surfing, Vegemite, sandwiches, vast open countryside, Unique Animal species and the Outback!Canada: Snowy weather, loads of ski resorts, Ice Hockey Mounties, The Canadian Rockies, maple syrup and Niagara falls
The weather in the UK is not as bad as people make out. People who leave the UK (because of the weather) often end up coming back when they realise that living in a climate that's 30c everyday quickly changes from a novelty to being unbearable. Lots of people from hotter countries come here during our summers as mid 20's is the ideal temperature for a lot of people. There's a hole in the ozone layer above Australia and Canadian winters are absolutely Brutal compared to what we have in England, it's not just "a bit snowy" it's long colder than freezing sub arctic winters. Think about it, the temperature rarely goes below zero in our winters, some Candian cities go down to MINUS 40! I've been in -20c in the Ukraine and that was absolutely horrible, imagine having to put up with that for most of the year! People who say Canadas weather is similar to the UK have never been to the UK. Canadian weather is nothing like the UK and FAR colder than the UK for most months. Our weather is unique due to the Atlantic currents that regulate it, this is why we don't see extreme hot or cold. We are lucky to have this regulated weather as it protects us from the extremes that other countries have to go through with their seasons. If I left the UK I would really miss the British summers and Autumn. To put it simply, Australia is too hot and Canada is too cold.
Not necessarily depends on where in Canada & depends on where in Australia, Tasmania is neither too hot or too Cold (In Australia), & Bc. is Neither too hot or too cold in Canada. The Uk has the same climate throughout though so yeah u could make a case for that being better sure. (But u have to factor in other stuff too).
Melbourne is the best! In Melbourne it is so easy to find a good house because there are 3 cities (or more): Melbourne, Geelong and Dandenong. If you want train or car access to Melbourne you can go to St. Kilda, Brighton, Sandringham, Northcote and more. There is also the amazing Mornington Peninsula.
+Freddie Wright for me Australia is a better place to visit and to live in. Better weather, strong economy too, it's safe too, nice landscapes, friendly people, beaches, amazing cities, good education... Etc. Both countries are great but in my personal opinion Australia is better.
+Casimiro Luengo But it's too hot out here i live in Australia and yet i am dying but it has nice beaches cool houses and i think it has the best beach ever
Why is everyone scared of coming to Australia for that reason? I've lived here for 5 years and the biggest spider I've seen was in a zoo and I've never seen a snake outside the zoo.
+HD PS4 Gaming Well, umm, sure we don't have as many spiders but majority, if not all, are deadly in some fashion. Except for a Huntsman spider or Daddy-long-leg.
I'm from Australia but I wanna move to Canada I just can't stand this bloody hot wether anymore but I have always wanted to go to Canada it's so beautiful
+Ocean Blue And have to deal with living in one of the most hated countries on earth? government corruption? High homicide rate? Expensive education? Go to canada, it's better in almost every way.
+Ocean Blue I lived in USA for almost 10 years ,and Canada is the best in everything ; starting with the stupid private health system doesn't matter that you pay your monthly premium you have to pay the deductible, the copay ,etc In Canada is regulated for the government everybody have access to the health system. The groceries here is more cheaper than USA if you know where going to shop; only the milk, eggs and bread is more expensive in Canada than USA. About rent is a little more expensive than USA; but it depends in which city your are living; some cities in USA are expensive also; about security Canada is the best nobody here has the paranoid that the Americans have about everything .
+Debra Doyle Well, if you don't want hot weather, avoid southern Ontario or southern Quebec. Better off with BC or the Maritimes. It gets hot and humid in Central Canada in the summer.
i think you should have also mentioned the positives and negatives of tax rates in both country's. just because Canada's is 13% it comes with an amazing amount of benefit's
Canada = few jobs, high prices and limited selection, a boring lifestyle centered on work, and high taxes. The weather ain't that great either if you don't like the cold weather. My understanding is that, in Australia, there are stronger workplace laws that safeguard workers whereas, in Canada, employers can and will abuse workers (it's happened to me and I've been witness to it happening to other people). For example, there are no legislated right to paid vacations so these only exist if you have specialized skills that employers need and will accommodate. Otherwise, it's not uncommon for people to not even take an extended vacation for 5-10 years. Think of Canada as a worse version of the US, with lower pay, higher prices while having the same lack of labour market protections as the US. Our proximity to the US has ruined out chance at creating a true social democratic society. Do NOT believe the lie about Canada being a great place to settle; it was a few decades ago but is now quite a horrible place to live.
Your comment got my attention I always dreamt to go to Canada.. Are you sure of what you have mentioned because I have never heard someone saying this about Canada
Canada is a nice place to go move to. Sure, it may have crappy weather in the winter and high taxes, but it's not boring. There's the mountains to go to, the coasts are nice too.
Fuck I get 5 weeks holiday per year plus 13 public holidays. The holidays are accumulative, long service leave, superannuation plus all wages are legislated. Fuck Canada
Reason 1 to go to Australia is the wonderful weather and there are more beautiful places to visit. Reason 2, higher slary and easier to get a job Reason 3, easier to visit New Zealand even work and stay there Reason 4, You can easily apply E-3 visa of U.S if you become a citizen of Australia
+Mr 11 Depends on what you like. Outdoor person= definitely Sydney Indoor person= Melbourne Blue collar worker= Darwin or northern Australia in general Thrill seeker/tourist= Brisbane or Gold Coast Hate the heat=Hobart Rich/professional worker= Adelaide Whatever you do, Don't pick Perth, Perth is in recession and is basically a glorified retirement home.
Sorry Sydney is a shithole. It used to be great, but its got to busy and the population has exploded. Unless you can live in the rich eastern suburbs 10-15 minutes from the city, forget about it. P.S most people actually dont live in 'Sydney' they just think they do. They live in the western suburbs of Sydney which are up to an hour and half out of CBD, driving. Only rich Sydney natives (mostly inherited)...and rich immigrants get to choose the good places to live. Fact. If you dont have $1 million dollars at least to spend on a house....your going to be living outside as i said...and all the good university's everyone wants to go to are in the CBD too
Colin Li u ur dumb ass reason number 1 Canada has the cn tower and niagara falls reason number 2 in the summer it goes up to like 35 degrees in the winter it goes up to -40 we have more weather than u reason number 3 the usa is rigjt there reason nuber 4 we have ha e better animals reason number 5 our country is much bigger more places to vist
+Utopian 989 lol you want to live in a bigoted country such as the states. be my guest. so you know a lot of the states are still pretty racist. you know the k.k.k they are not gone from there. still loads of black racism there.
OK you can go to Canada and have a 6 day summer or go to Australia for a 6 month summer. Plus Australia Melbourne was named the best liveable city In the world in 2014.
Jesus. both are great countries to live in, but there is one thing you guys are all overlooking; climate. Everyone seems to be looking at it like Canada is the arctic and Australia is some nice Hawaiian getaway. If you've got some education in you, you should know that global warming is going to fuck the world up quite a bit in terms of climate, therefore raising Australia's already high year-round temperature to something that will almost be impossible to live in. Another thing I'd like to say is that Immigroup should've chosen a more accurate way to compare the two countries than this system.
not sure if this would help anyone make a decision, everything is so close to the same. A little bit more for one thing, a little bit less for something else and it pretty much balances out no matter which one you choose. Seems pretty much equal based on everything I have seen here
If just a few percent of immigrants coming to Canada returned to their homelands, then that would be perfectly understandable. However fully 40%+ (!!!) leave the country within 10 years of immigrating. That statistic alone has to tell you something about how (not) wonderful Canada is. From weather to high cost of living to a rampant underemployment and low salaries/wages (except for those lucky enough to find a job in government), Canada is a really poor choice for economic migrants. I WAS a great choice 20 years ago, but those days are long past. Coming here will be a BIG mistake that you will regret. Can't vouch for Oz as I've never been...
Guys, go to Canada. It is more better. Just because there are snow here. It is actually fun here. People take things funny here. They are really polite. We, Canadians are chill. Proud to be Canadian!
Having lived in both counties, I vote for Canada! Australia is boring really. Nothing much to see there other than a bunch of beaches and a opera house. Too many mosquitos, bugs, flies all over, the heat goes around 55'c + and the cost of living is extremely high.
it is so tempting for me as an Indian to go to Canada for the climate, I hate summers but I have kept a good eye on weather in Melbourne for past one year and it has always been less than what it is in India and also when in December we have winter here in India they have summer in Australia but still the temperature were quite similar in that month also, so basically I don't think climate would be an issue for me, if any Indian living in Australia has any other view I'm all ears.
+Immigroup Inc Yes Rugby League is Sydney's number 1 sport so it was kinda odd that you said AFL. If it was Melbourne then yes you would have been right about AFL
We have family in Australia so I am familiar with their weather and it is very very hot. Here in Canada I live in Ottawa Ontario and yes winters are cold and each year differs in how cold it will be like. I think that the -40 and -45°C may be with the wind chill but I am not sure - just a guess. Either way it is very very cold and I just dread that kind of cold. In Southwestern Ontario as well as the Niagara Falls Ontario is usually milder than Ottawa. Ottawa is a very cold place especially when you walk down certain streets and the cold is horrible.
***** lol that's funny; polar opposites literally and figuratively. Cost of living may be higher but so are certain wages. Plus you have tropical weather. Survive one Canadian winter, and you'll wish you were back out there with the kangaroos. Is it treasonous to say we should trade nationalities?
Australia has not been the 1st choice for yrs .......... shortage of jobs and jobs in textiles, manufactuing, telecomunications have disappeared over seas ....to supporting the lower income earners in poorer countries.
Australia of course who the hell wants to freeze to death here in Canada 6 months of the year, Id swap countries in a heart beat if I could. Don't get me wrong summers are great here and all, but Id prefer warmer climate all year if I had the choice. Unless your a snow boarder, dog sledder, skier etc. or a little kid the snow is less than pleasant 95% of the time its just a hassle and extra work in my opinion anyway. One great thing about cooler climates is the lack of venomous wild life, or at worst very few species in select locations.
koohikoo If you were referring to me, Nova Scotia, and we've had a real nice summer so far this year too, one of the warmest in years for the east coast I think. My only issue is late fall, winter and early spring, its easily bearable, just not my preference at all, year round summer like climate is more my style provided an air conditioner is installed in my home.
The population of Sydney is about twice that of Toronto, the average wage in Sydney is roughly about A$1,300-00 the average in Toronto is about $897-00 Toronto. This accounts for variations in rents..no beaches and ices up ..Sydney...many great beaches and wonderful weather. The comparison of one Irish pub as opposed to what IS available as a general rule makes a mockery of this comparison.
Why are we fighting here, we are both somewhat peaceful countries and have good relations with each other. Lets not make a RUclips video Ruin that. - From a syrup drinking Canadian, Gimmie A hug
Lashkar Pall. Australia and Canada have always been the greatest of mates, and always will be. But that doesn't, and shouldn't, stop us from havin' a good shit slingin' match with each other, it's healthy I reckon. Cheers from sunny Oz.
Not to mention more than 10,000 beaches, most are pristine and rarely visited, if you visit a beach a day or takes more than 30 years to visit them all, and unlike Canadian beaches you can sunbathe and swim at most in winter, most beaches not in the lee of the barrier reef have nice to ass kicking surf and in many cases, you will have the beach to yourself.
Living in Canada is like living in america but a lot safer. Australia and Canada are politically alike but Canada has a culture like that of america. Major league sports(Nhl, Nba, Mlb, Nfl, Cfl, etc.), beer, thanksgiving, independences days both in July, and same accents
if you're islamic please don't come here
sincerely, an aussie
Yeah they would be treated so horribly by the huge amount of racist Australian's
im just sick of losing my country to islam
+Truman Kelly this country is vast and multicultural you're not losing anything by other people believing in in something. You're a pretty shit Australian to be islamaphobic, it says in our national anthem that we welcome everyone because we have plenty of space.
Charlee Luna islamaphobic is a made up word to end debate about the poisonous ideology of islam.
+Truman Kelly you're a disgrace to this country 👏
I am a dual citizen of Australia and Canada. Born in Australia but spent about 40% of my life in Canada. Both are wonderful countries.
Kevin Morris
Hi would you tell me please which one is a lot easier to get a visa? And a job ?
Thanks.
Canada is easier and better. Its close to USA.
AgainstAllOdds053 Australia has a nasty attitude toward immigrants, but there are working holiday visas in both countries. Do you want to immigrate or just a working holiday?
Gencturk92 USA is mad over rated :D

I actually agree USA is overrated especially New York but then again, one city or state cant judge the whole country. Maybe other parts in USA are good, but I still prefer and love Canada. Dont know about Australia.
Holy fuck this video is painfully slow.
i that it was just me
I thought so too. I couldn't watch the entire video and skipped most of it. Maybe it's for people who don't understand English too well.
Increase the video speed to 1.25.
hhhhh that's what call human we all feel that
If you are more into summer and beaches go to Australia or if you are more into winter and snow go to Canada
Who else just looked in the comments during the whole video. This is so BORING
+SourQuill Games And yet here you are
+Immigroup Inc what are you on about i said who else just looked through the comments the whole vid thats what i did.
+SourQuill Games Okay
SourQuill lol
I literally actually just looked at the comments the whole video to find out if Australia🇦🇺 is better or Canada🇨🇦. I live in Australia and I was born there. It’s a great place to be. I don’t know about Canada though.

7. foods and fruits are same, but meats and dairy in Australia is cheaper than...

Austalia for a vacation
Canada for settling down
True
It's a shame you're only showing costs for Sydney, which is well known to be pretty expensive. It's not representative of the rest of the country.

+Cecil Henry well. your home is Britain then. America for native americans. Australia for aboriginals.
Agreed, whole heartily. AC is reason enough
Kathleen Wynne should deter anyone from coming here
I would say both countries is good but I would go to Australia .
Please don't hate me
I will now give the only sane rational answer in this entire comment section: Canada and Australia are both amazing unique countries filled with great people.
The weather would be a big factor.
Too late, Canada is corrupt now. Communist PM alert!
That's not true. Refugees don't need sponsors.
The place doesn't really matter as long as you are happy
Too hot or too cold: Where should I go?
Nate Australia as its spring here right now it isn't to hot or to cold and summers next tbh Australia isn't to cold or to hot personally I prefer Australia they have great and more friendly ppl then Canada but they are both wonderful (:
If you don't mind thinking you may be in China. Extremely expensive there too.
New Zealand!
i moved to Canada, to Kelowna BC. 4h drive east from Vancouver, in Summer almoust no rain and 30-40 degrees, its called canadian desert and winters are mild around -5C. I was suprised too :)
how about the places for swiming in that area, are there many? How is the unemployment rate, high?
Been to both and saying Sydney is expensive is oversimplying things. If I can elaborate a tiny bit: trying to enjoy yourself on a small budget is definitely tougher than most cities because options aren't great but living on a mid-high budget (earning 75k USD/Year as a estimate), you certainly get a hell of a lot more. Large size dwellings, great weather, proximity to beaches, financial hub, night life, dining, amenities, parkland, infrastructure, you really can't get that excellent combination anywhere at the price you can get in Sydney.
Thanks
I'm from Spain and I was confused of both countries but after watching this video I decided to move to Australia next year 😍
Where in Australia?
Also, GL getting a good job
+Kahil Jadresko I'm going to Melbourne
Brisbane or Sydney would have been wiser.
+AUmarcus Brisbane is a good city and cheaper than Sydney
I have been to and lived in both.
I'm Aussie by Birth but Canadian by Heart ;)
So both win in a tie imho
I'm in australia on the coast, and if u stay around the coast, it will stay warm for most of the day (depends on the season) and u won't need to worry about snow covering the roads and risking a car accident, if u stay in Canebra, it does snow there in winter. December to February is summer, march to may is autumn (fall for u Americans) June to August is winter, September to November is spring :)
I'm Australian and Canadian lol but spent like all my life in Canada
Funny how I can't find any comments supporting Canada. Wonder why
PISS OFF I FUCKING HATE YOU 😭😭
+Bailey Stowe shut up fatty
+Stowecooper1 so calm so cool
Teach me your ways
+Stowecooper1 What is your reasoning behind it?
Because it's boring to live there if Canadian if from someplace else that lives there they will support
Just for anyone wondering, Brisbane is getting a metro subway in 2022

@@RealNotOrrio I made that comment 5 years ago, Australia has gone downhill since then.
Im Australian and I don't see much huge spiders :/ I only usually see harmless spiders soo yeahh
I saw a comment saying we were mean people too, and to that I say, stereotypes are typically manufactured out of truth.
Evan C people think Australia is just hot all the time but it’s not and have you seen the restaurants here? Lol
im australian. of course im going to say australian..but id like to go to canada too.. i too love where i was born but ive hear two ppl from canada say they hate canada and canadians and they are themselves..one is a Native and the other isnt..
Canada is the most beautiful place in the world, and not just that Canadians are the most lovely and polite people to live with 😊❤️
The video should be Toronto vs Sydney instead of Canada vs Australia.
Toronto is a monster both in population and economic power vs either sydney or melbourne. They are much less comparable than people think.
Vancouver B.C. and Toronto are very expensive and more in line with Sydney Australia.

Dont forget CAR INSURANCE RATES. For new drivers Toronto: 400-500$ per month. Sydney: 150-200$ per month.
Car Insurance rates in GTA (greater toronto area) are one of most expensive in whole world.
I'm from the U.S. and I can't decide which one is better... because both, Canada and Oz look bloody amazing ❤️❤️
I specifically said compared to Canada. You are comparing to the US
chileo1 yeh you did, I'm just disagreeing with your premise that if you vote republican come to Australia. I think many republicans would be very disappointed to find we have tight gun control, woman's rights to abortions, universal healthcare & relatively high taxes.
But if you are a republican and choosing one of the two countries, which is the better choice, Canada or Australia?
WARNING : DONT READ COMMENTS, YOU'LL END UP MOVING TO SOMEWHERE ELSE 😂😂🤣

Internal travel in both can also be quite expensive (though I haven't been to Australia in forever)
If you're American you can bloody well stay where you are.

@@XxBestXxBoyXx who hurt you?
This last spring was particularly bad, if I remember correctly. But, at least autumn was late, I guess.
canada is too close to the U.S, australia wins by the fact alone.
i lived in both country long enought to make a decision , Australia is sunny warm and dry and all this keeps me going, you dont runout of energy like you do here in canada.
Soon many other places other than Sydney - And don't fly QANTAS if you want an affordable flight. QANTAS is the most expensive airline in Australia.
We compared to the two biggest cities. There are tons of places in both countries that could have been covered.
Australia's taxes and prices are crazy expensive... But having free health care, the second highest HDI, amazingly kind laid back people, amazing wether, beautiful beaches and water, amazing schools and job opportunities with amazing pay. Australia wins for me, 10/10 would move again.
+Arden Macbeth Thanks for sharing
Julian Smith What do you mean by cornered it?
I just think the cold in extremely inconvenient.
I find it quite rude how everyone's just saying CANADAS COLD DONT GO. That's not true we have very warm and hot times (ESPECIALLY in spring) and summer too!
Both countries are great and since I was 8 I've always wanted to visit Australia but you guys DO have the
Venomous Snakes and Spiders so stop saying we have all the problems!!
Another great reason to go to Canada instead of Australia because in Australia there's dangerous animals
humans are more dangerous than snakes and spiders
***** Australia is not overpopulated, it's population is too small for that huge country, Australia has about the size of the US excluding Alaska
fuck off id rather see a snake then a bear
Lived in Perth for all the 17 years of my life , in that time I have never seen a snake in the city.
Vacation? Australia. To live? Canada.
In all seriousness... if you are coming to Australia... Sydney is the LAST place you would want to live. It's like saying you want to live in New York. It's expensive... and the people are rude.
Melbourne and Perth are 1000 times better and have a better standard of living.
Rich people are usually rude.
I'm in Melbourne and we stayed in Sydney for a bit, saw the harbour and opera house. We spent like over 1000 dollars in 3 days
Perth isn't doing so well at the moment. If you're not Asian, it's not a safe bet to move to Perth.
i live here & the people are not rude .they are like people everywhere
Lived in both and they both have their upsides. My choice would be to live in Canada for 6 months. and Oz for 6.
so I make right decision in choosing australia

Updated expenses www.immigroup.com/news/canada-vs-australia-where-should-i-go
The only thing better in Australia than Canada is the warmer weather.
And the beaches
+OcOctavian aboriginese, arab and indian will force sharia law there shortlym

Octavian irrelevant. They will commit suicide and butcher you then they say allh will save them. Adios.
I really appreciate your video Ma'am. You are really doing a great job
It's QANTAS,not QUANTAS.
Yeah, and id much rather fly Qantas on a 22 hour flight than air canada on a 7 hour flights. Better meals and IFE

Lee Rees I'm 51 living in Montréal and never heard -40 degrees . This is utterly ridiculous .
I choose Canada
Melbourne is the best! In Melbourne it is so easy to find a good house because there are 3 cities (or more): Melbourne, Geelong and Dandenong. Ocean Blue Fuck off neocon. Take your BS propaganda elseware.
+Ocean Blue You are one dumb, arrogant dipshit. Canada is not a country??? Congrats, you just won the dumbass award.
+Debra Doyle
Well, if you don't want hot weather, avoid southern Ontario or southern Quebec.
Your comment got my attention
I always dreamt to go to Canada..
Are you sure of what you have mentioned because I have never heard someone saying this about Canada
The high taxes go to free healthcare, and education.
Fuck Canada
First comment I've ever read stating that the US is better than Canada.
Go to Australia if you love surfing.
Reason 1 to go to Australia is the wonderful weather and there are more beautiful places to visit.
Reason 2, higher slary and easier to get a job
Reason 3, easier to visit New Zealand even work and stay there
Reason 4, You can easily apply E-3 visa of U.S if you become a citizen of Australia

+Mr 11 Depends on what you like.
Outdoor person= definitely Sydney
Indoor person= Melbourne
Blue collar worker= Darwin or northern Australia in general
Thrill seeker/tourist= Brisbane or Gold Coast
Hate the heat=Hobart
Rich/professional worker= Adelaide
Whatever you do, Don't pick Perth, Perth is in recession and is basically a glorified retirement home.
Thanks I'm planning to move there next year for school and work
Sorry Sydney is a shithole.

That's an absolute crock of shit!!

Jesus. both are great countries to live in, but there is one thing you guys are all overlooking; climate.
When the ice melts there will be a new sea within Australia

First of all. You jumped 2k years. Second. It's gonna be shorter than that long.
Australia obviously.
Fandrix true
not sure if this would help anyone make a decision, everything is so close to the same. A little bit more for one thing, a little bit less for something else and it pretty much balances out no matter which one you choose. Seems pretty much equal based on everything I have seen here
Australia
Noel Nacalaban Canada sucks and it is boring
Australia I love Australia but my 1TH best RUclipsR ItsFunneh lives in canada
Come to Canada! (We don't have giant spiders) 😉
stfu. no way
neither do we lol.. im an aussie..you bears, huge moose and deer that love roads..not a good combo lol and big cats too i hear
Evan Myers x
I live in australia and im telling you giant spiders are rare
@@angusmacneil7914 lol I loveee Australia!!! 😍😍😍 I will live there 🇦🇺🇧🇬
mouse vs kangaroo
snow vs spiders
sorry vs mate
maple syrup vs foster beer
hockey vs rugby
+The immoral atheist fek off with that Fosters crap, none of us drink that!!
Billy Jackson
we don't drink maple syrup either, we use it with food..
You mean AFL not Rugby and we don't drink Fosters either.
+Dementos Don't people like Rugby in NSW?
Ottawa is definitely colder than most of the rest of southern Ontario. I hear Kingston is likewise pretty miserable.
Why the fuck did my parents choose Canada over Australia? They told me later Australia was their first choice, what happened?
***** lol that's funny; polar opposites literally and figuratively. Cost of living may be higher but so are certain wages. Plus you have tropical weather. Survive one Canadian winter, and you'll wish you were back out there with the kangaroos. Is it treasonous to say we should trade nationalities?
parents make stupid choices, like bringing kids to this world when they can't afford them
I'm not having kids until i know damn well i can afford them
Australia has not been the 1st choice for yrs .......... shortage of jobs and jobs in textiles, manufactuing, telecomunications have disappeared over seas ....to supporting the lower income earners in poorer countries.
I live in Canberra, Australia (the countries capital city) and last night it was -5 degrees and max today 12 degrees. All depends on where you live.
One great thing about cooler climates is the lack of venomous wild life, or at worst very few species in select locations.
i want snow, you don't want to love in an oven everyday and swim in sweat
+Timothy O It's only summer in Aus 6 months every year ya dumb fuck
GamerDares Wins are you fucking stupid? Summer lasts 3 months not 6, and its always fucking hot here, ita winter now and its still hot
and where in Canada are you? in Vancouver it was a consistent 30 degrees in july
koohikoo If you were referring to me, Nova Scotia, and we've had a real nice summer so far this year too, one of the warmest in years for the east coast I think.
Yeah I always think that Canada and Australia are best friends
Not to mention more than 10,000 beaches, most are pristine and rarely visited, if you visit a beach a day or takes more than 30 years to visit them all, and unlike Canadian beaches you can sunbathe and swim at most in winter, most beaches not in the lee of the barrier reef have nice to ass kicking surf and in many cases, you will have the beach to yourself.
Australia is a way better country because we have nice warm medium level heat and Canada is boring because 75% of the time it's cold
Today, the high in Canada's largest city is 31 weather.gc.ca/forecast/hourly/on-143_metric_e.html
Uschila Fernandez You're not serious . 🤣
Living in Canada is like living in america but a lot safer. Australia and Canada are politically alike but Canada has a culture like that of america. Major league sports(Nhl, Nba, Mlb, Nfl, Cfl, etc.), beer, thanksgiving, independences days both in July, and same accents
