Lisa Marie Presley was one of the most watched kids in the world she hardly ever does interviews she hardly goes in front of the camera and for her to come out and sit with the actor thanking him for the hard work you put into portraying her father to honor her father says a lot about what respect she has for him I really admire this kid I don't didn't know him before but he brought no eagle to the show all humility and was a sponge to learn as much as he could and really really worked hard to honor Elvis

I couldn't agree more. To me it was like Elvis's spirit was totally inside Austin. Or Elvis reincarnated through Austin. They couldn't have picked a better actor than Mr. Butler. I have no doubt he'll go places in the movie business etc. His portrayal was outstanding. Give him 10 Oscars for being outstanding and best actor for portraying an icon. Totally electrifying.

My God, your words are terrible & insensitive.
What @Ralex wrote was a good intention comment.
I shouldn’t have to say, of course this won’t give her hope, but in your lack of respect and decency, of course the film won’t GIVE her hope, however, with the decades of nasty words against Elvis and also against Lisa’s son, Ben (for just being Elvis’ grandson) lest not forget the same hate was also against Lisa too. Lisa & her family endured a lot of unwarranted criticism and hate.
I haven’t seen this film, but if Lisa likes it and she believes it’s positive about her beautiful, loving, intelligent, generous, sweet, humble gorgeous father who God blessed immensely with a beautiful strong comforting voice to sing, that Elvis shared with the world, than it just might give her a glimpse of hope that finally, her father is being accepted by the general public and all that tabloid sensationalism can finally disappear to the ungodly hell of where it came from.
Elvis fans know the reason why Elvis is still loved & relevant, because he truly was a Sweet, Sweet Spirit. (one of Elvis’ favorite Gospel songs)
This film might give Lisa some peace of mind, which in turn is hope.
As Elvis would say, he sang Gospel to bring peace to his mind.

Thank you. I lost my big sis same way and my parents and I found her too. We have trauma as well. Lisa will be utterly broken til she leaves this earth as I’ve seen what it’s done to my own parents. I see messages of people saying time will heal and it bothers me. When Lisa goes home at night she’s grieving and in agony for the rest of her life. It’s a pain I wouldn’t wish on a soul. And time DOES NOT heal such a tragedy. It may “soften” a little with time but I’m sure she’s grieving that her son can’t watch it. Stuff like that is gonna be with her forever. In fact sometimes as time goes on, the pain is worse (it’s not the shocking pain but the emptiness kind).

It’s a great movie and I can see why Lisa and Priscilla loved the movie. Austin did a great job at portraying Elvis. It was more focused on his career and showed how his greedy manager pretty much took advantage of Elvis. Elvis was such a generous person too. He was so good to his parents which was so beautiful. I loved how close he was to his mother, she was one lucky mother that’s for sure ❤️ to have been so loved and spoilt by her beautiful son.

THE LEGEND Mr BB KING spent A LOT OF TIME WITH ELVIS: 'Before Elvis we had Little Black Sambo, separate black restrooms and water fountains, and colored events that kept us away from the whites', BB King noted as he mention that Presley would attend events especially designated just for African-Americans.
In June 1956, Presley ignored Memphis's segregation ordinances by attending 'Colored Night' at the local fairgrounds amusement park. The following December, King was there as Presley opened up almost unbreakable racial barriers by attending and supporting the segregated WDIA black radio station's annual fund-raising event for 'needy Negro children' at Memphis' Ellis Auditorium. King wrote in his autobiography that he 'liked Elvis. I saw him as a fellow Mississippian. I was impressed by his sincerity.
When he came to the Goodwill Review (the event WDIA fund raisers of 1956 and 1957), he did himself proud'. 'The Goodwill Revues were important', he wrote. 'The entire black community turned out. All the DJs carried on, putting on skits and presenting good music'. In his autobiography, King said he held no grudges because 'Elvis didn't steal any music from anyone. He just had his own interpretation of the music he'd grown up on, same is true for everyone. I think Elvis had integrity'.
'If anyone says Elvis Presley was a racist', charged B.B. King in the 2010 interview. 'Then they don't know a thing about Elvis Presley or music history. 'Many nights after we finished our sets and I'd go up to his suite', King stated. 'I'd play Lucille (on Elvis' guitar) and sing with Elvis, or we'd take turns. It was his way of relaxing'. 'I'll tell you a secret', King winked and laughed.
'We were the original Blues Brothers because that man Elvis knew more blues songs than most in the business - and after some nights it felt like we sang everyone one of them." 'Let me tell you the definitive truth about Elvis Presley and racism', The King of the Blues, B.B. King said, 'With Elvis, there was not a single drop of racism in that man. And when I say that, believe me I should know'.

Who realized he needed a father image to be there for him after his own parents passed away very young! My son's were close to me, but I'm sure there were times, their Dad could have done more with them! I was young myself but I knew my responsibility to & for my children. Elvis loved his Mama, & no doubt she adored him. His young daughter needed him, his wife needed him, just wish he could have taken with them a long time. However, it reveals the hindrance and initial help he was to Elvis. Recommend this highly and if you are in a biopic mood check out "Get on Up". In Elvis we have a brilliant actor who should give great performances for years. In the James Brown biopic , sadly we are left with an actor who is gone way too early. Hope Hollywood stops with the cartoons and goes back to being storytellers that we can all appreciate at night around the fire.

@@irekmklek CGI would look phony & weird, the emotion a real good actor has from facial expressions & the eyes would be lost ,can’t see why people can’t see this

It's definitely apparent that Austin put ALOT of effort into this role. I'm definitely going to go watch it. Now he sounds like a smoker with that deep voice, because it's probably hard to pull out of it when it's been your job for a while. It's VERY sexy though. If you get stuck with that voice, consider it a blessing!

Listen if Lisa could say that! Then you know it’s good and Austin did what needed to be done. Because Lisa don’t play about her dad and she would not publicly endorsed this if she truly didn’t mean it.

Lisa definitely has her dad's face! My opinion he started going into the dark after his mother died. The divorce and not seeing his child regularly added to the darkness!

Lisa can relate to that small feeling. Imagine that being you Dad & you choose to sing, or Imagine her kids, that Legacy is alot to drag around with your entire life. You totally captured Elvis' Essence. Science is JUST catching up with Elvis' MAJOR health problems & ultimately stemming from his 3 past traumatic brain injuries, the last being in 1968. He basically was battling the SAME EXACT Brain Injury Arron Hernandez got from the NFL. Elvis' ENTIRE lifetime of medical records including military & childhood were released in DR Nick's trial against the state of Tennessee for Elvis' Death. ELVIS entire panels of DRS have now spent an entire career at the top of their fields. All are in agreement & have written major medical papers about in in New England Journal, John Hopkins, NIH, American Journal.

Butler looks like he did a good job on the movie. Movie looks interesting.
Gotta say though, he looked a lot more like John Travolta in "Saturday Night Fever" , more or less.
Still, cool that Lisa Marie gave her seal of approval.
