I don't think giving kirby a decent way of using it to regenerate health or reflect moves would make it broken, just... good.
oh, also, the hitboxes from stone that activate only when kirby slides down a slope... are they just the usual landing hitboxes or are they somehow different?
I was thinking he needed this very thing, and I totally forgot he technically has it. They really should lower the damage threshold for the projectile reflector to activate.
@@HEX33C1FF Really it should just do that with all projectiles regardless of damage. Maybe it'd be neat if Kirby could inhale multiple weak projectiles (kinda like game&watch bucket), but either way there's no reason to ever want the tiny heal when you'll just get punished for it anyway.
I was hoping for a buff to the range of projectiles you could actually spit out because as it is right now you can only really spit out charge shots, something Kirby naturally benefits from to just copy instead. Could've helped with his almost unplayable weakness to Zoners.
Its amazing to finally see my main there! And since kirby is indeed pretty bad, but still misunderstood, here are a few clear ups: down tilt is strong, but does not combo into itself until some specific percents. The main thing is to focus on escaping the move and not punishing it, thats how you avoid getting clipped. stone is better than we give it credit for. If you are getting hit and your opponent overextends in the air, you can punish with stone. Kills as early as 40-60, they can't interrupt it, if you timed it well the only thing they can do is airdodge and then they can't punish you. reset the situation, disadvantage avoided/kill opportunity taken. its also very good for safely getting below ledge if you're scared of being swatted by aerials. He is right that fair kinda drops a lot, it makes it a VERY unreliable kill option beyond 120% ish. I know this wasn't supposed to be an accurate kirby video, but here you go nonetheless.
Things I have to say being a Kirby main: 3:41 yeap, fair drops a lot Bair and nair really are nice moves 5:22 the lack of any hitbox on up-b at all can screw Kirby frequently while recovery if you don't know how, and even then Also, up-b tents to drop a lot too, and only spikes at the beginning Down-b has armor in some point while transforming in to rock, at least when use it in air Copy abilities can be fun :)
I love Kirby. I really want Kirby to stop being held back purposefully. And I hope next game, older character get revamped. I think kirby using a lot more moves based on abilities would make their range better, as a character that slow shouldn’t have such small hitboxes. Maybe a very slight air speed increase, nothing crazy, and more disjointed ability moves.
Thing with Kirby and Dedede's hammer charge. While the full charge does hurt them it only does so till 100%. If they are over 100 it won't deal anymore damage. Also down B does have a solid use in competitive. If you can read people it does good shield damage, and if you can break a shield side B full charged at ledge takes stocks real early. Or my favorite use a recovery mix up. If you are up higher using it not only puts out a hitbox that also gives 10% worth of armor it will lower you down to snap ledge with up B. Just make sure to press down B again before diving into the blast zone.
Kirby’s main competitive issues come with his stats. His good hitboxes don’t make up for his poor mobility, and his poor mobility causes other issues like having poor recovery. He’d be really good if they just gave him more air mobility and maybe a bit higher jump height.
If you ask me, Kirby's air mobility should be swapped with Jigglypuff. I know Jigglypuff is light but doesn't even fly like that canonically. Kirby on the other hand does that
@@STONKS_MemeMan Kirby by definition has always been slow in the air though. It's literally one of the defining traits of the character that's remained consistent across his entire series.
