  • Here, I show how to set a calibrated 8mm round cabochon stone into a fine silver bezel cup of matching size. I am only using a burnisher to do this, as opposed to also using a tool called a bezel pusher. Both ways are effective. I just prefer using one tool.
Rio Grande is my preferred supplier for all tools and materials.

How do you solder that bezel with the cab set in without messing up the stone?

The empty bezel has to be soldered in place first. Then finishing and polishing is done to the rest of the piece. The last thing to do is what I’m doing here- inserting and setting the stone. Stones cannot handle torch heat. They will either crack or even explode! Thanks for watching:)
