Since those steaks are thin, I thought that long of a cooking time would dry them out, and that you would need to braise them. But these look pretty good to me.
I was brought up in the South and love Southern cooking. You tube makes it so easy to find new and interesting recipes, like yours here. I came just to find out what temperature to bake mine, but left knowing much more. Thank you😁
My favorite seasoning for baked meat is complete seasoning, garlic powder and onion powder! I'm going down stairs and take some pork steaks out my freezer right now! Those look amazing

Just tried this and it’s great! I’m from south city St.Louis and we always use salt pepper, then add Maullls’ and Busch with some spices mixed in it when it’s browned a little bit and cook it the rest of the way. But I have to say this might beat that recipe. Thanks for the video!

@@mannysmom I'm usually a smoker type of guy but it's supposed to flash flood here today so I had to browse for a way to do it inside. My wife and kids loved it as did our friend from lake Charles la he said it was a taste of home. Went very well with grilled corn potato salad mayo based and BBQ baked beans with liquid mesquite smoke in it but only a small dab.
Hi! I baked on 350 for an hour. Some say that they bake 30 to 45 minutes. I like my pork chops and steaks kind of dried out, but tender. That's why I bake an hour or longer, depending on the cut. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
Tightly wrap each one in aluminum foil and have them rest on a wire rack in the pan. This way they cook evenly and don’t sit in the juices. Also best to let them rest in the seasoning a full 24 hours in the fridge before you cook them to get rid of excess moisture and to prevent them from being too soggy. If they sit in their juices they’ll broil rather than bake.
Hi! I LOVE mine in the juices. That, in my opinion, is what keeps them moist and not dried out when completely cooked! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
Hello! Yes, these are SO good! They are much healthier than breading, then frying AND smothering. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave positivity! I appreciate it! MUCH Love! Happy Holidays From My Family to Yours!
Yes! That's an AWESOME price! I LOVE anothered pork steaks, but baked with loaded mashed potatoes is really good, too! Thanks for watching and commenting! I appreciate the support! MUCH Love!
Hello! My pleasure 😊 I really love them this way with loaded potatoes and green beans. It's even good with a salad, which is healthier. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
This is comment is purely so that I can come back and read it since I've tried this wonderful recipe before, but I don't cook this often enough to remember it LOL: 1. Wash them in vinegar and water. Sprinkle Method: Salt, Tony Sachere's Seasoning, Restaurant Ground Black Pepper, Accent (the MSG stuff), Onion powder, Garlic Powder, and Cayenne Pepper. Put everything on both sides of the meat. Bake on 350 or 375 uncovered. . Turn them over at 30 minutes. Check to see if they're done after another 30.
Hi! Thanks SO much for watching and commenting! I did not cover them and cooked them until they were very tender and kind of dried out like fried, if that makes sense. MUCH Love!
@@mannysmom Thank you so much and thank you for the fast reply My 15 year old son and I are about to go and make them in about 1 hour from now. Trying to teach him how to cook. God bless you❤

Yes! I like them BEST smothered over rice with sweet potatoes and mustard greens. Now, THAT'S a southern meal RIGHT there! Thanks SO much for watching AND commenting! MUCH Love!
Hi! No, I did not. You can add a little, if you like. There is a little water that's left over after I washed them because I didn't pat them dry. These are very tasty and moist and the fat that is on them renders off. I LOVE these with loaded mashed potatoes and green beans! Thanks so much for watching! MUCH Love!
Hi! No, I did not. I don't pat them dry, though.. So, there is little liquid left in the pan from when I washed them. They make liquid as they cook.

MUCH Love!
Yum🙏🏼😇👍👌💯
Hello! Yes, these are SO good! They are much healthier than breading, then frying AND smothering. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave positivity! I appreciate it! MUCH Love! Happy Holidays From My Family to Yours!
They have this for $1.78 on sale this week so I'm trying to figure out what I can do with them. Thanks!

Hi Sis! How have you been? Thanks for watching AND commenting! I appreciate you! MUCH Love!
I'm from NOLA too
Looks great. One question. The green stuff/ flavour you put on them with pepper and salt. What is it called again? :)
Hi! It's Tony Chachere' seasoning, m y favorite! It is GOOD on EVERYTHING! Thanks SO much for watching AND commenting! MUCH Love!
I found It! Thank you so much!
Hi! You're Welcome! It is so easy and tasty, too! Thanks for watching and commenting. I hope that you enjoy! MUCH Love!
This is comment is purely so that I can come back and read it since I've tried this wonderful recipe before, but I don't cook this often enough to remember it LOL:
Hi! Thanks for watching and commenting! Have you tried it with loaded mashed potatoes? It is GOOD! MUCH Love!
Looks deliciousness did you cover them or uncovered?
Hi! Thanks SO much for watching and commenting! I did not cover them and cooked them until they were very tender and kind of dried out like fried, if that makes sense. MUCH Love!
@@mannysmom Thank you so much and thank you for the fast reply
My 15 year old son and I are about to go and make them in about 1 hour from now. Trying to teach him how to cook. God bless you❤

Hi! thanks! There was a time when I would only make gravy to pork steak. But, in an effort to cut back on fried foods, I tried it this way. I love it with loaded mashed potatoes. Thanks SO much for watching AND commenting! MUCH Love!

@@SEA-U2 you’re welcome. I’m from St. Louis (where it originated). And while I was in the navy and stationed in california I had to do this :)

a Goddess cooks AND does laundry for her family. Girls run the world 🌍💕
Did u ad water or oil to pan
Hi! No, I did not. You can add a little, if you like. There is a little water that's left over after I washed them because I didn't pat them dry. These are very tasty and moist and the fat that is on them renders off. I LOVE these with loaded mashed potatoes and green beans! Thanks so much for watching! MUCH Love!
Thank you
Did u put any liquid in the pan before cooking
Hi! No, I did not. I don't pat them dry, though.. So, there is little liquid left in the pan from when I washed them. They make liquid as they cook. Thanks SO much for watching AND commenting! MUCH Love!
Thanks for replying
I'm cooking this today
Hi! I actually cooked some on Sunday. It's SO simple, yet tasty! Thanks SO much for watching and commenting. MUCH Love!
375 is key! Great video!
Yes! Thank you! I appreciate the view and positive vibes! MUCH Love!
Did cover it when you put it in the oven
Morning! No, I did not cover them They were VERY tender and flavorful, too! Thanks SO much for watching AND commenting! Much Love!
Why do you rinse them with vinegar? Thanks.
I use vinegar as a cleaning agent and it helps tenderize pork. I also use vinegar to wash my chicken, too! Thanks SO much for watching AND commenting! MUCH Love!
4 years ago I paid 12 for a pack today in 2024.
Hi! I actually got a pack a week ago for 11. They are on sale sometimes at this mom and pop local store. When they are that reasonable, I try to get a few. Yes, prices are HIGH! I am learning to save more and shop smart! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
Everytime I cook pork steaks I come here
Hello! It's actually one of my favorites, too! And, it's healthier because it's baked and not fried. Thanks so much for watching my video, trusting my recipe and commenting! I apprei appreciate you! MUCH Love!
Happy Holidays!
I tried making some of these, but for some reason the meat was SUPER tough to chew and rubbery. Can you tell me what I did wrong?
Hi! What cut of pork did you buy? I've R NEVER experienced that. You may npt have cooked them long enough. Were they thick?
@@mannysmom They were semi thick. I'm not sure what cut it was.
@@mannysmom I think you're right, if they are not cooked quite long enough they are a little tough.
Cook longer
You might want to tenderize next time, then cook longer.
I’m back again. Bought more pork steaks to make this recipe.
Again 😂🤦🏽♂️
Hello! I am SO glad that you trust me enough to use this recipe to feed your family! That's LOVE! I appreciate your support! MUCH Love!
She paid $5 three years ago for two packs I paid $6 for one in 2024
Yes! But, I got a pack last week for $4.50. It was an assorted pack. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
It ain't seasoned if you ain't sneezin' @3:16
FOR SURE! That Tony Chachere gets me EVERY time! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
I find pork to be more flavorful than beef at 1/5 the price.
Yes! Many say that pork elevates the blood pressure and for some it may. But, it's the processed pork that causes the most harm. It's the sausages, bacon, etc.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
If you ain’t sneezin it ain’t seasoned
FO Sho! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!

You're Welcome, My Brother! I appreciate you watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
Was the washing machine going? My son says it was the dishwasher! Very disturbing!
Yes, it was. I work full-time and the washer and dryer are in the kitchen. Sorry for the inconvenience. It's real life over here, LOL! Thanks for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
