As a pram restorer/collector myself, I think you did a super job on the Mountain Buggy. You're a very talented stroller restorer. Fixing nice strollers up sure beats having them end up as landfill.
you did an awesome job!! I just recently bought a steelcraft strider from gumtree and needs alittle makeover. Watching your video answered all my questions. Thanks and can't wait to do this...
Hi Michelle! Thanks for the wonderful video - it looks awesome :) Did you have any issue with paint residue coming off on your kiddie's clothing? It's my main fear with trying to dye the fabric!
A very inspiring video. I was going to buy a whole new seat fabric ($150) for my black Bugaboo Cam3 as two small patches on the sides of it have become a little faded. With my new baby due to arrive soon I wanted to freshen my pram up. I'm going to give the fabric paint you recommended a go. Thanks heaps :)
you really did one amazing job girl, good for you.. just one tip when you see those little bits that didn't quite color perfectly. i use diluted liquid shoe polish. i recently made over a faded emmaljunga for my grandaughter and found this tip online. the pram now looks brand new. I just emptied the liquid black shoe polish into a jar, added same amount of water, gave it a shake and painted my pram. :) well done
Hi Michelle, great job on the pram! I was wondering how you got the hard back out of the fabric seat also... you made it look so easy on the video, but can’t figure it out myself! Thank you ☺️
Wow what a transformation!! I'm wanting to clean the fabric of my mountain buggy but was worried about machine washing... but is it ok chucking it in the machine?
good job! you’re so good at DIY! you should fix them up and sell them for more! is the spray paint kid friendly? with the sun rays hitting it i would imagine it releases the toxins? thanks very much for posting this great detailed video
The fabric will be extremely stiff and when it gets wet (rain or drink spills) it might run a tad.. I definitely recommend a cold wash after spray painting
I think you did a fantastic job. Thank you for showing us the whole process. So I have to ask, how much is this buggy normally that it was worth the hassle & the $200?
I tried the vht spray paint and it smelt like paint fumes, they wouldn't come out, and the fabric became stiff. Maybe simply spray upholstery fabric paint would be better
It does have that spray paint smell but once I had let it all completely dry I put all of the fabric through the washing machine and that got rid of all of the smell :)
Chantal Wood Hi love, here’s the link: mountainbuggy.com/au/Buy/parts/parts-for-current-strollers/MB-mini-parts/harness-pads-pair or search for “harness pads” 😊 x
Hi! You did a phenomenal job, thanks for sharing. Just one question... How much is the original price for this stroller? I would like to know how much you were able to save by doing this! Thank you for this video!
This pram retails for $750 brand new. I bought mine second hand for $75 and ended up spending roughly $260 all together to fix it up (including the new rain cover). Everything I used and all prices are listed in the description box. Hope this helps :)
You've done a fantastic job! I own a strider plus and have a couple questions: did the gentle cold wash help get rid of the stiffness from the spray paint? Also, my pram is a light beige colour, would spray painting it a darker colour work? Any help would be appreciated :)
Hi Jess, thanks for your comment! It took a couple cold washes but the stiffness eventually went away and I'm sure it would still work great (if not easier) on a beige color! :)
75 dollar's...Michelle...🙄...you literally had to rebuild that thing...next time you make a fixer purchase...you haggle that price down... 👇 Young lady...💕😊

You're a great mum! Well done

Hi Michelle! Thanks for the wonderful video - it looks awesome :) Did you have any issue with paint residue coming off on your kiddie's clothing? It's my main fear with trying to dye the fabric!
It looks awesome!! I think the spare parts were actually from Phil & Teds
Thank you ❤great ideas
Thank you so much just brought a double off gum tree. Super helpful cheers!!! 🙌 🙌 🙌
+Ryan family thank you! let me know how you go with yours ☺️
Thank You
thanks for sharing this, very helpful. will do the same to our pram!
In North America we would buy a "pool noodle"from a dollar store to use in place of the black rubber tubing.
No we won’t lmao. We would buy leather bar covers from Etsy…
Great job 👍

Lauren Ardagh Thanks for watching! And good luck with your renovations! 😄
Hi there. How did you take off the scruff marks from the steel parts of the frame?
Awesome! Great job!!
+DoggBuster thank you! ☺️
For the duplicolor fabric spray did you use the flat black or gloss? Thank you
you really did one amazing job girl, good for you.. just one tip when you see those little bits that didn't quite color perfectly. i use diluted liquid shoe polish. i recently made over a faded emmaljunga for my grandaughter and found this tip online. the pram now looks brand new. +Lynn Coombs thanks for the tip! ☺️
What happens when it rains?
Looks great. Could you spray the blue strap with the dupli colour colour too so it matches?
That's what I thought aswell
How did you take the hard board off the fabric did you had to cut it out?
Hi Michelle, great job on the pram! I was wondering how you got the hard back out of the fabric seat also... you made it look so easy on the video, but can’t figure it out myself! Thank you ☺️
Thank you! Looks so much better
thanks for your video.
much appreciated
+stormey dayz thank you for watching!
Wow what a transformation!! I'm wanting to clean the fabric of my mountain buggy but was worried about machine washing... but is it ok chucking it in the machine?
I put all the fabric through the machine about 3 times and had no damage :)
What the spray called?
good job! you’re so good at DIY! you should fix them up and sell them for more! is the spray paint kid friendly? with the sun rays hitting it i would imagine it releases the toxins? thanks very much for posting this great detailed video
Thank you! It does say it is safe but we store it in a shaded area just in case x
The spray paint is for Car interiors and seat fabrics so your pretty safe :)
I want to try and dye my out n about buggy. It is the camel colour which I really don't like. Do you recommend the spary paint for it?
Do you have to wash it after the spray paint, I'm considering just spraying it on the frame 😪 looks like crazy work taking it all aprt
The fabric will be extremely stiff and when it gets wet (rain or drink spills) it might run a tad.. I definitely recommend a cold wash after spray painting
Will the spray paint leave residue in the washer or tub?! I LOVE diy project and think you did a fabulous job!
Hi i just spray paint my stroller but how can i remove the strong odor of paint.. thanks
You can re wash it it goes away
You have to wash it in cold water after it’s dryed.
hi there :) just wonderin when u sprayed the canopy did u have to cover up the little plastic window or does the spray wipe off the plastic window?
Hi there, How did you take off the canopy? It looked like you cut it off with scissors?
Its only buttons etc holding it together, but mine was broken and held on by cable ties so thats what I was cutting off.
But the prices at the end?
hey did the pram smell.okay using the spray.paint ?
It did smell a little at first, but once I had put it through the washing machine it was fine :)
I think you did a fantastic job. Thank you for showing us the whole process. So I have to ask, how much is this buggy normally that it was worth the hassle & the $200?
thank you! a brand new mountain buggy duet is roughly $700
Just confirming: when you washed the seats, you removed the hard inserts from inside before washing them?
Amazing
That's an amazing change!
thank you darling xx
I can’t believe they were charging $75 for that mess. It should’ve been free! Did you haggle?
A brand new one is almost $700 😭
I tried the vht spray paint and it smelt like paint fumes, they wouldn't come out, and the fabric became stiff. Maybe simply spray upholstery fabric paint would be better
It looks amazing. Is the fabric spray smelly?
It does have that spray paint smell but once I had let it all completely dry I put all of the fabric through the washing machine and that got rid of all of the smell :)
Hi Michelle I am wanting to purchase strap covers for my pram but cant find them on the website. Do you have a link?

Hi honey. I'm looking at doing this to my pram, and I am wondering if the color has held up well a year later? :)
It's held really well, but I have kept it out of sunlight as much as possible (used a sun shade or rain cover during walks) :)
You've done a fantastic job! I own a strider plus and have a couple questions: did the gentle cold wash help get rid of the stiffness from the spray paint? Also, my pram is a light beige colour, would spray painting it a darker colour work? Any help would be appreciated :)

That stroller retailed for over $700 at the time…
