Onaga to me is like darkside or thanos from marvel and dc he geels like the ultimate bad guy even though we all know the one being is but onaga feels like he is just so skilled and so powerful that no one dares to release him but i want to know more of his origins and hearing about emperor ying having the dragon army makes me believe that he could be onaga or he becomes onaga somehow. I just hope they sued some light on this storyline so we fully understand how mortal kombat began and liu kang could show us in a vision when he created this timeline he had to tread carefully around emperor ying so he didnt turn into onaga YET! But in liu kang preventing it in the past happening it cannot be stopped of onaga returning as it is destiny of emperor ying to become onaga so that could be the story for the next game and there is nothing liu kang can do because it always happens in every timeline emperor ying has to become onaga and take control of the dragon army. Hopefully the realms can come together and stop emperor ying before he takes over the realms and destroy everything and everyone

It makes no sense having Havik without Hotaru. Hotaru really should be fully playable. Netherrealm also obviously hates Sareena. They never make her playable.

It is very easy to explain why shinnok is in the new era he could be a less powerful version of himself like all the other villains or a hero or neutral, Kintaro HAS to be playable this time Goro was playable once, Sheeva was playable *TWICE* it is time for us to get Kintaro

Kintaro should not be kameo because we already have Goro as kameo. So he deserves to be playable for a long time.

Hey everyone,
I have some ideas on how we can make Mortal Kombat even better. If you like these suggestions, please give a thumbs up so that they are seen by the community!
1. Fatalities and Brutalities should be combined and made more difficult. Like in Mortal Kombat X, players should have to meet certain conditions before they can perform these moves. This would increase the challenge and respect for executing them.
2.Each character should have a unique icon that charges up during the fight, similar to Johnny Cage’s star. For example, Reptile could have an icon that transforms him into his reptilian form for a short time, making him faster and stronger. This would emphasize the uniqueness of each character.
3.For a future Mortal Kombat 2, I suggest adding a Tag-Team mode like in Mortal Kombat 9. The number 2 could be used in the trailer to highlight the concept of tag teams. During the game, the second player could either perform a special move or a short attack without appearing in the fight, or fully appear and take over the fight, allowing for interesting combos between the two characters. This option would make the Tag-Team mode varied and dynamic.
4.The design and atmosphere should be darker, more sinister, and dramatic, like in Mortal Kombat 2. The music should be more dramatic and shocking to create a more intense mood, and the screams should be more intense. Mortal Kombat 1 feels too bright and colorful, almost like Fortnite. It needs a more serious and dramatic atmosphere to truly feel brutal.
5.The arenas could be designed like in Mortal Kombat 3, where you can move from arena to arena when hit with an uppercut, or use environmental tools as weapons. Before the fight, you could choose whether you want an arena with fixed or interactive elements, allowing players to customize the fights.
6.Better customization options for outfits would also be great!
7.Scorpion feels much less interesting in Mortal Kombat 1 compared to Mortal Kombat 9 and X. He has fewer combos and appears as a more passive player who mainly defends. Other fighters like Smoke should also be made more interesting. More combos and more intriguing special moves would be fantastic. The idea of Reptile’s “Force Balls,” where you can control the speed of the balls, or Raiden’s chargeable thunderballs should be applied to other characters and used more often. Special moves could also be directed or adjusted in different ways to confuse the opponent.
8.More creativity in Invasions: It would be exciting to fight against a group of ninjas at once without round breaks. You could face all classic ninjas like Scorpion, Smoke, Sub-Zero, Reptile, Rain, and Ermac, each in their ninja form but with different colors.
9.Ninjas should be depicted with masks by default. A mask gives them a more mysterious and sinister appearance. There could be an alternative costume option without a mask, but in the images, ninjas should always be shown with masks.

If kintaro turns out to be playable, chances are likely in the "Arcade" mode he will have a sub-boss variant of himself that obviously is a bit more difficult to deal with and he'll likely have goro or motaro as his kameo fighter of choice.

I don't see why Mortal Kombat doesn't have underbosses anymore since MK 11. I wouldn't want to see Kintaro relegated as a kameo character like Motaro and Goro are. I wish MK would bring back underbosses. I think you were right True Underdawg when you said it wouldn't make since to put Shinnok in this timeline. Even on the story mode for MK 1,Shao Kahn got possession of and used Shinnok's amulet, Liu Kang said: "it's owner is powerless." So does that mean story wise Shinnok is still in his vegetable and catatonic state?
A character I want as a Kameo is Raiden. This way we can get to use that old Raiden face in game somehow. I can see him having the electric traps from MKX as a Kameo move. And the lightning move where where he raises his hands in the air like 🙌 to catch people in the air in MKX aswell. Could be an ambush move.
Old Raiden would be a sick Kameo fighter. And as Raiden fan I’d love to see that.
dude Darrius is technically cannon, since he is seen in story mode with Havik during the scene where Havik tries to kill Scorpion

There are 2 characters who have close to no fan popularity but might be fun to see, Kobra and Kira. For Kobra, he has 2 ambush attacks, a flaming uppercut and flip kick, however he also has 3 summon attacks that does a short combo that can be canceled into one of his ambush attacks for a “meterless” pop up. As for Kira, her attacks are the exact opposite where she has 2 ambush combo strings and a few summon assists that keep the opponent grounded and close for a follow up.

I would love Kintaro to be fully playable but look at what they did to our boy Goro by shrinking him down. He just doesnt have that impressive stature anymore. Shinnok would be great. A member of the community that disliked the changes once said, "Give the hourglass back to Kronika!" and it's difficult not to agree at times. 😆

Li mei, liu kang, and quan chi could be placeholders for alternate versions. A quan chi from another timeline with a new moveset, a Classic liu kang or a liu kang variant, etc. A tarkatan li mei? A shokan quan chi? A liu kang from one of the assassin clans? That'd be sick as hell

Sorry but i totally agree with Kintaro being a kameo, hes way too big and he would need to be shrunk down like crazy and his moves aren’t too different from Goros, he just has fire, so him being a kameo would work better

Well they will have to shrink him so he fits on the screen to be playable if hes not playable then i could see him being big but i doubt that is going to happen considering its been 17 years and it doesnt look like he will be coming back anytime soon though if you are an onaga fan he has has lots of easter eggs and call backs in mkx mk11 and mk1 unlike another boss who never gets any love from anyone other then me 😭

I think Kintaro might end up being an actual, playable DLC returning character. And I also think that Shinnok might end up being a DLC returning character in the next installment of Mortal Kombat.
Both Kobra and Kira are not coming to Mortal Kombat 1 as DLC returning characters at all.
Kintaro should not be a kameo but as fully playable character instead. We already have goro as kameo. We dont need another 4 arm dude as kameo so makes sense to having him as playable

If Quan Chi gets made into a Kameo again, I'm wondering if it's another story exclusive Kameo for the next story. I say this because his current story one still uses story Quan Chi's quasi-MK11 Shang Tsung moves. Not sure how that works for Liu Kang.
Though IMO, if Titan Liu Kang ever dies for good, there's going to be some fine print rules lawyering magic that keeps him dead but active as a ghost. Revenant Liu Kang is arguably Zombie Liu Kang in X-11. We have no equivalent to his spirit version from the OG timeline. If they ever want a unique version of Liu Kang we haven't seen in over a decade and is simultaneously a callback to the 3D era, spirit Liu Kang is the way to go.

Shinok is mentioned in the story mode as powerless when general shao wielded his shinok amulet?
With Shinnok returning they need to remaster the scene similar to MK4 when his face was turned into a skull and he falls. And remix the Shinnok’s menace is over theme.
Also the lord liu kang monologue in the beginning of story mode if memory serves that souls can’t be destroyed just reshaped so shinok does exist in lord liu kag M1K timeline in my understanding

imagine if we get zombie liu kang as a kameo
What if that Liu Kang Kameo was actually that bonus character from the original Mortal Kombat 1 that was a clone of Liu Kang. Also Kameos are in my mind also used for characters that either had no change in their story or very little along with coming from a different dimension. Geras in story mode mentions that Shinnok's amulet shouldn't exist because it's creator is powerless not nonexistent. So maybe a playable Shinnok is somebody that originally didn't have any special powers but somehow gained powers like what he use to plus the giant bone hand attack seems to be a Quan Chi thing now according to his Arcade ending. So if Shinnok does come back he probably won't have the skeleton-based powers but instead maybe have a different move set. Quan Chi as a Kameo technically already exists so it would make sense that he is in the game files. I personally don't think that he will be playable as a Kameo. Li Mei could maybe have a Kameo role in the upcoming story expansion which could explain why she was found among the list of Kameos. Honestly I'm not certain how to change Test Your Strike to separate it from Test Your Might but I'm certain it will feel different in a good way

There must be an alternate universe where Kronica wins from MK11. Now they must defend their universes against the reunification of all the universes based not only on the threat of Shang Tsung but also Kronica. She might be operating behind the scenes to sabotage the other universes to fighting one another until there's only one loose end left for her to fix using Shinnok and Cetrion as lackies.
