Yes, he does - plus, much less cost, much less delay, much more satisfaction, and, from our perspective, much better education and entertainment. But let's go easy with the "wonderful" stuff - don't want his wife to start thinkin' there's no livin' with him! (Small, weak attempt at humor, there. Please excuse it.)
Love this channel. My soon to be 8 year old is Autistic with auditory sensitivities to music, clapping, loud noises etc. When he hears your voice or the music on this channel, he comes and sits with me to watch. He does this with only you and this channel. Please keep rocking. Thank you for bringing us along.
*- Your timelapse makes pulling the motor so easy, and still I got a bit winded.* *- What a confounding job the megaphone fab was. But now you got a jig to do. Wow!*
Love the music in the first half... "Halfass gone funky", LOL!... Seariosly though, I'm totally impressed with your method of making the megaphone. I never would have thought of doing it like that, so simple! Something I thouhgt of while watching you squeezing down the pipe to weld it. Vice Grip, Chain Grips would wrap around evenly.
Damn! I would have just pulled it and had trans fluid EVERYWHERE!!!! LOL!! You thought ahead and left the u-joint sticking in it....love it! Oh....SICK ASS LIL TRUCK!!
One horn on each side, the tubes will fill the space, paint them white and that will give the illusion of filling the space as well. She looks like a beauty with that tunnel ram on it!!! TWO horns each side, TOO much!
Very nice job making the megaphone pipes since you had the Speedway ones as a pattern. For future consideration, an old school hot rodder tip for making cheap megaphone pipes was to use early Ford torque tubes. Axle housings would work but be thicker and heavier. You cut out the front tapered portion of the torque tube to whatever length desired and get 2 or 4 exact tapered pipes. Love this ‘37 truck build!
Brent ... the term you're searching for @35:50 is "Tapered Mandrel". Liking your idea to make a permanent Mandrel ... and using an old axle with 1/2" female sockets to allow you to use a ratchet for rotation. But hey, you did an amazing job with the tools (including your Feet) to accomplish the task at hand. Bravo !!! Besides, given the on-going "Freedom Convoy" you probably would have to wait a long while to get another header kit ... GO CANADA !!!
Nice usage of parts laying around ,you look at a flat piece of metal and visualize megaphone style exhaust! I just love metal fab, you can make anything you can visualize!! Great job great content, spot on . Thanks jim
Ingenuity at it's best. Watching you put all those clamps on before welding your last pipe, I thought maybe a few well positioned hose clamps might make the job of closing that gap a little easier. Nice job!
Good job on the bell exhaust, Brent. Can’t wait to see how you incorporate them into your headers. I know they will sound good. Thanks for sharing. 👊😎👍
Brent, you simplify your cleaning up the shop of powder from Fibre glass... do what l do! I put on my dust mark and goggles, the painting mask . Better quality, then l fire up the air compressor, and open your big door! Start at one point in the shop , blow the powder out the door into the lot. I've even used my , leaf blower, which l like much better! Try it, alot easier then dusting ,keep up the good work, jim
I've been running a tunnel ram with dual carbs (made/tuned for the tunnel ram) on my BBC street rod since 2014 with absolutely no problems...just more HP hehe. About 30-40 more. People told me I'd have problems with it and it would run/idle bad but it's ran smooth and fast since I put it on. Getting the right carbs made for a tunnel ram and right heads is the key. Brett's little truck is going to haul ass and look cool too!
Sorry the shipping is so high for you guys in Canada. BUT you guys can build anything and is is great to watch some one do a HALFASS job and it is perfect. Great job Brent with help from Pablo.
There's so much to like about your videos, I just love watching hot rod stuff and you're showing us how to do it, easy and on the cheap, then there's the music -nice, relaxing and uplifting and there's Pablo ... what a dude!! Keep 'em coming Brent!!!
WOW Great work on that. I think a chain clamp would have been easier to use instead of the welding clamp . or a sheet metal roller , if they make one that would roll that gauge of metal. None the less , they turned out nice. Also , the truck needs a visor. ( just my thinking) I see one in the background on the wall.
The best youtuber in my eyes. Love the work you do. The only problem is these 45 / 50 min vids seem to go by so fast, it doesnt seem like they have played all that time. Really enjoyable. Looking forward ot the next.
Good Job, nice look of the motor, it is outstanding. The headers are Cool, we had a junk yard about a mile away, we would pick up what we could get and make it work. Pablo’s fan Club gives a call out! Thanks once again.
Hi Halfass Kustoms from the D Michigan and Thanks so very much appreciated your time and video informant way to Building your own Headers, hey I've done a lot of Metal work, but never pipe making, watching you is Awesome, and I learn something New every day 🤩✌❤🤲😇🐴
Definitely agree that the single megaphone just didn't look right. I think you nailed the look going with two, can't wait to see the finished product. Dig the valve covers!
Pablo is such a chill dog. Humans don't deserve the amount of loyalty they give us. "Try locking your wife and your dog out of the house on a cold night, then see which one is still happy to see you in the morning. "
Love the look of the engine (including the shiny valve covers) in the truck, especially the tunnel ram! Brings back memories of cruising in the mid-'70s in a '67 Camaro with a tunnel rammed 327.
Getting the all the different pieces painted the same color really brought together and looks cool. Radiator cover is a little too thick, the size makes a nice statement. Watching you make the cones for your exhaust is simple but awesome.
Probably made 20 of those for bikes years ago. We used worm gear hose clamps to pull the gaps together. Much easier than using a vise, vise grips, etc.
I like the way you think, I'd just pinch an axle and have a heavy wall master for a form and cap the ends with a half inch square hole for a breaker bar and a cheater pipe for a good twist, you could easily cut a paper pattern for your layout, build a lower roller under your axle for a mass production type of setup 😉
i just love pablo's enthusiasm, he's definatly not in a hurrry..........unless its a drive
Pablo is the perfect shop dog. Not too much energy, but likes to be in the shop...and go for rides! lol
He sure knows to enjoy the good things in life. :))
You do a wonderful job of making what you can’t get, it really makes this build a cut above most.
"An enormous amount of suck"....if that ain't the best line of all time, I don't know what is!
No vid is complete without Pablo. Every job needs a loyal foreman to watch great work underway.
Thanks for another great video Brent! She's gonna be a beauty when it's finished 🐾🍺
I 100% agree!!!!!!!!!!!!
He might like a keyboard or some sort of musical instrument. God bless you both.
🙏👊😎👍
*- Your timelapse makes pulling the motor so easy, and still I got a bit winded.*
*- What a confounding job the megaphone fab was. But now you got a jig to do. Wow!*
that 2nd flute bend went so smooth
I really like watching you create things, it shows that you can accomplish just about anything!
Genius wrapping!!!
That worked really well making the horns! I'm wondering if using those vice grips with the chain on them would help close up the last bit for tacking.
25:00 Wow. Nice funkified sountrack. Thanks for taking me straight back to the 70s. Groovy, man.
Respect for just not buying stuff and actually making it!! Another great video 👍👍
Damn! I would have just pulled it and had trans fluid EVERYWHERE!!!! LOL!! You thought ahead and left the u-joint sticking in it....love it! Oh....SICK ASS LIL TRUCK!!
that tunnel ram setup looks mean!! this build is absolutely mind blowing, awesome job Brett :)
The dog likes a very clean shop to watch you work. And please try to remember he like rides
You never fail to impress! I don't think there's much you can't fab up from a few bits of mettle.
DAMN!!! I love that 70s FUNK. You hardly hear it any more, YO! You also just saved a bunch of coin on those tubes. Awesome
That 36 grill looks badass 👍
The tunnel ram was a perfect choice for this truck, and love the plan for the exhaust! Keep up the great work!👌😎
Like your how to do it work Brent.I have learned so much from your work.
One horn on each side, the tubes will fill the space, paint them white and that will give the illusion of filling the space as well. She looks like a beauty with that tunnel ram on it!!! TWO horns each side, TOO much!
Those exhaust tubes turned out pretty good when you think outside of the box you can make whatever you want. 👍👍😀🇨🇦🐕🐕
Very nice job making the megaphone pipes since you had the Speedway ones as a pattern. For future consideration, an old school hot rodder tip for making cheap megaphone pipes was to use early Ford torque tubes. Axle housings would work but be thicker and heavier. The truck is looking awesome. You did a great job on those Pipes. Amazing Fabricator. Great Video Sir. Thank You for Sharing..
GREAT SOLUTION WITH THE PIPE BENDING. WELL DONE.
I like those trumpet tubes, It's gonna look rad. Gotta love ole Pablo he's just so laid back! 😊✌🏼🇺🇸🇨🇦
I think what made the 3rd flute slightly more difficult was that you removed the inner flute welds at a later stage, meaning you had to bend it out
Truck is coming right along. Great job. Headers looking good. Truck has great stance.
Brent ... the term you're searching for @35:50 is "Tapered Mandrel". Metal master at work again great job as always
Nice work, I can't wait to see you wield up the flanges to the manifold. That cab has nice lines and maybe beautiful in he end.
Nice usage of parts laying around ,you look at a flat piece of metal and visualize megaphone style exhaust! I just love metal fab, you can make anything you can visualize!! Great job great content, spot on . Thanks jim
I love how this is shaping up. Got to watch the pennies!
Wow thats looking really good!! Love the motor.
Loved the welded on leverage bars !
The pipe wrench was genius! I was just thinking what can Brent grab that with and twist it with, and voila, you got a pipe wrench!
Brent, you simplify your cleaning up the shop of powder from Fibre glass... do what l do! I put on my dust mark and goggles, the painting mask . Good to se you stayed with the "something from nothing" theme and made your own megaphones! Good deal!
I've been running a tunnel ram with dual carbs (made/tuned for the tunnel ram) on my BBC street rod since 2014 with absolutely no problems...just more HP hehe. About 30-40 more. Love ur dog Pablo has quite an expression on his face as he waits for you to finish lol ❤❤👍👍
Sorry the shipping is so high for you guys in Canada. BUT you guys can build anything and is is great to watch some one do a HALFASS job and it is perfect. Great job Brent with help from Pablo.
There at the end, it looked like Pablo was thinking, hurry up and finish this thing! I want to go for a ride already.
We could almost see the bright light bulb above your head when you were thinking of the megaphone fabricator. 😅 Great video as always Brent.👍👍
Awesome man! Thanks for explaining how you did it too. Cool to see even you learning throughout the course of the video.
There's so much to like about your videos, I just love watching hot rod stuff and you're showing us how to do it, easy and on the cheap, then there's the music -nice, relaxing and uplifting and there's Pablo ... what a dude!! Keep 'em coming Brent!!!
That truck is looking sweet

I knew Brent could build anything. Custom Pipes from scratch, yeah man. 😎👍🇨🇦
I like the way you find a solution to everything at least cost. Makes the end product more satisfying. Thanks for showing how. Joe
Good Job, nice look of the motor, it is outstanding.
The headers are Cool, we had a junk yard about a mile away, we would pick up what we could get and make it work.
Pablo’s fan Club gives a call out! Thanks once again.
I knew those bars were going to get in the way.. But the pipe wrench idea was great! Yeah cones don't roll straight..
I agree with you Brenton grill shell, looks like it belongs on a one ton, lol. I measured my 32 shell it’s 3 1/2 inches. Pickup looking REAL COOL!
The last one you made looked as though it put up a bit of fight, but you got there. Great result. 👍
Watching you struggle with those cones made me think of barrel hoop kind of washers slid on to close the tube.
Great vid, I love this project!!!! 👍👍👍
Hi Halfass Kustoms from the D Michigan and Thanks so very much appreciated your time and video informant way to Building your own Headers, hey I've done a lot of Metal work, but never pipe making, watching you is Awesome, and I learn something New every day 🤩✌❤🤲😇🐴
Thanks Brent for sharing another great video with us. Well once again it’s quicker and cheaper to make it yourself.🛠 Give Pablo a pat or two for me.🐶
Fantastic job fabbing those pipes!
They all can't be winners. Great job on exhaust tips.
Magical moment when the cab was lowered down into place. The vision becomes reality. It’s kool man!
Nice work Brent . have a good week you and your family.👍👍👍👍👍.
You are pretty talented dude! Very impressed with your work! Enjoy watching and learning! Carry on!
Amazing work my friend love how it’s turning out. Btw I’m a gas fitter and when I saw the pipe wrench come out I was like yasssssss lol .
Now THAT was alot of work! Very nice job!
That's some next level skill set you have there.
Definitely agree that the single megaphone just didn't look right. I think you nailed the look going with two, can't wait to see the finished product. Dig the valve covers!
Great stuff ! Is there going to be enough room in the hot rod for Pablo ?
Lol.lol he will make his own spot..lol
I think those trumpets are good, nicely done
You can't build your own trumpet headers .
Brent , here hold my beer . Absolutely brilliant most people would never attempt it really cool
It’s just awesome you make your own headers. This is a first for me. Thank you for sharing!
Looks great all together. Im ready to see you driving it with your co-pilot.
Pablo is such a chill dog.

Pretty cool stuff Maynard... header time!!
Brett: I think you could market those and make a nickel especially if you do make a fixture. Nice job man, love your work!
Lookin good. Some pretty nice fabrication on those pipes….
Probably made 20 of those for bikes years ago. We used worm gear hose clamps to pull the gaps together. Much easier than using a vise, vise grips, etc.
Almost at 100k subs!!!! Lets goo! Great work love the build!
I can't believe you got the results you did with that pipe wrench, lol, just gos to show you fabricating is in the hands of the beholder
Brent love this project👍 Thank you for sharing your Brain with us. Amazing stuff👍🙏☮️🥶❄️
From STL 314
Badass oldskool cool, looking great Brent
Every time you look at Pablo... Pablo's looking at you.
I like the way you made the headers tubes true craftsman
Well it took you longer than you thought it would Brent but you saved a pile of money! Made for a great episode!
Looking super cool!✊
I knew you'd make em . I did some for my motor cycle years back .
Always good to see and hear from you man
I like the way you think, I'd just pinch an axle and have a heavy wall master for a form and cap the ends with a half inch square hole for a breaker bar and a cheater pipe for a good twist, you could easily cut a paper pattern for your layout, build a lower roller under your axle for a mass production type of setup 😉
Very crafty there Mr want to see them cut and together 👍
Very cool Brent . The general needs a run to Ottawa!!!
You're vision for the look of this truck is coming right together. Very nice work!
Whoa I LOVE the looks with the grill on, The big carbs on and the chopped roof. Really bad ass!!
Two pipes each side is the best, good job.
when welding the tube tube together, would it be easier to use a chain vice grip ,then it would pull the edges together evenly ...Just a thought
Don't have one but sounds like something I should have haha
you are correct, the rad needs the brent touch! the look is there but it needs a diet? great music trac as always!
