    Great video, Kris. I've done 3 chickens at a time. I've done what is usually tough roasts in my pressure cooker. I like that you are showing pressure cooking as well as canning. The broth from pressure cooking seems more flavourful. I think it forces the veggies nutrients out into the broth. Could be wrong. Mind you, it's doubtful 😂. ❤

      wow nice 3 chickens to fit in there but I bet they would for sure. I am not sure where I watched about doing it in my canner but man nothing quicker. The meat comes off the bones so easily too. I think your right about the broth the color is so beautiful too. No you can't be wrong lol

    It is good that way! I also do whole chicken the same way to can up. Delicious in a jar! I taught my family how to do it, and they also love it more when they can it themselves now verses buying it in a tin can. BIG money saver! 💰 😊❤

    Good morning! You beat me on price! 👍🏻I cooked mine in my big roaster and after I cooked and deboned… made more broth with the bones! It will be such a treat to have turkey mixed in with our diet when the snow is flying! Which could be any day now! I know, I know… bite my tongue! Have a blessed day, friend

    Very cool! I may pressure can left overs, or just live on turkey for a week😂 I use an oil-less fryer to cook turkey, comes out moist with a crispy skin, mess stays on the patio. I agree the oven can dry it out.

      there are so many ways to make turkey so that is a good thing. Never heard of a oil less fryer bet it is really good crispy skin yummy.

    I'm thinking to raw pack turkey to can. Not crazy about having it cooked twice. What do you think? I raw pack chicken and pork.

    • @citygirlhomestead
      @citygirlhomestead  9 дней назад

      I would think you could no problems just cutting up not sure how good off the bones you could get it. It doesn't taste bad cooked twice either though
