Thank you for this video, me and my family are coming to Cornwall from 17th of may for the week for the first time, staying at wide mouth bay caravan park in bude. Looks like a beautiful place! Cannot wait!
Thanks Gimbal,so good to have you back again, lovely video, some relations of mine used to go to Bude every year without fail, can see now why they liked it so much.We are going to Falmouth for a few days this year but not until Sept, have a look at Looe if poss, beautiful place with lovely harbour and quaint shops etc, stunning views of course, and good fish n chips too.
Oooh thank you Alan! Not heard of Looe - will have a look now and get it in the planning list! Hope you are safe and well and thank you for the kind words
@@GimbalWalkTV Hope you manage to get to Looe, you will not regret it,we parked in the West Looe car park, plenty of space and a great walk into town, have a walk up to Hannafore Point if poss, great sea views and views of the harbour and town
So good to have you back ...love all you do , Cornwall is my favourite place especially Newquay...amazing surfing there with great coastal walks for you to try 😃
just got back from bude absolutely love it we try to go there every year my daughter has gone every year since she was born and still loves it completely different world compared to being near London like I am if I had the chance to move i would not hesitate time to book for next year
We were there on a school summer trip all the way from Cairo, Egypt, when we were young kids, and stayed in one of those hotels @11:20. Amazing memories, and a big impact on all of us. Love Bude!
Enjoy your walks very much, the effort you put into adding interesting information just takes your walking videos to a level above most others on RUclips. Since you asked for recommendations in Cornwall for walking tours, I would suggest in no particular order: Truro, Falmouth, Penryn, Helston, Penzance & Newlyn, St. Ives (although it has been done to death), Redruth and Camborne. I know Penzance well and most walks seem to miss out quite a lot of interesting bits. I would be happy to share some local knowledge if needed.
That would be great Jim Am here now filming so some tips would be great Can’t guarantee I can do all of them as getting hotels is a nightmare but will do what I can 👍👍
Looks lovely, we will be going to bude in August hopefully, other places for you to visit, sennen cove is beautiful, and also porthcerno, the minack theatre, l could go on forever, Cornwall is a beautiful place to visit😍😍
Have family who live there during the summer! Been there myself many times! So pretty! Thanks for the video, would have preferred different music, maybe more instrumental. Hi from Southern California!
Hello bud' this is a great video. hopefully I will visit Bude someday. just a quick one what app do you use to write text on your videos? keep transporting us. we love your videos. over and out. Lol
Hi Neil I think I have seen it seomewhere but what is the music you play? Great view of Bude which I haven't visited yet, will tick that one off in September As usual great video!
Grew up in bude my grandfather bill jennings had a bus and coaches business there now live in Melbourne Australia and heading back in October 2022 visit where my grandparents are buried in Stratton church I’m now 71 yrs old what memories
Hi there! Not yet but now lockdown is lifting I’m 100% going to be covering them all! Thank you for watching my videos too I really do appreciate it ❤️
Hi that's looks a lovely little place never been before !! 😀 you should also do a nighttime version of the place it would be nice with the lights on . how are you ? 🙂
Thank you for the idea - will definitely try and do that! I"m good thank you - a lot better now we can get out and about a bit more! Hope you are safe and well
The best places were missed on this walk, should have carried on a bit further on the downs for a spectacular view of the sea and beaches, also crossing the river to the canal side for a real taste of Bude.
Back in the mid 1960s I live 12 miles from Bude and when to Stratton s/m school when in the winter the boys would go on cross country runs down to Bude and the beach .and the pool was full with sea water and we were made to run through it our legs would go blue .and when we ran back to school with the games master behind us with a plimsoll in hand just to keep us moving can’t see that happening to day
Nice video, might I suggest next time you cover the Sainsbury’s tunnel, a takeaway from Chungs and a gander through the red-light district for the authentic Bude
@@GimbalWalkTV an old hotel turned into a huge (I have no idea how to describe it), you walked past it. The only reason I say is because I stayed there for a week but I really wanna go back :(
Doesn't do Bude justice. Poor views here - mainly houses and paths. Why not look back from the downs above the beach towards the town and fields around? See The Castle, the canal and the pretty houses alongside, the wharf, fishing boats, breakwater etc etc. Nanny Moore's Bridge was just walked past and ignored!! Shame.

Thanks for taking us on this trip. It would have been nice to hear the ambience of the place rather than the music though but great footage. 👍
Have tried with natural ambience and every time I do people click off after a minute or two but with music they watch all of it so it’s tricky
@@GimbalWalkTV Who is the artist?
@@MrMichaelYD Good question - can't remember now. If you use the Shazam app (it's totally free) it will tell you any music you hear

Thanks i'll be there in June 👍.
