I like the way you have created the video and helped us to explore this beautiful amazing place so imbibed with the Nature and it seems just so natural. This place I feel is free from the complexities of the world. The vastness of the sea fills my heart with joy. I love water. Live in the sunshine, swim in the sea and drink the wild water. The sea doesn't like to be restrained..This place is full of opneness, warmth and positive vibes. Loved it. Thanks.🙏🙏

My late partner and l spent many a happy time in Lyme. Thank you for bringing back lovely memories. We never braved the Cob though, too far and scary for our wobbly legs! But l feel as if we had been there now through your beautiful film, and am more than ever convinced that we were right not to walk it ourselves!

Nicely done, I’ve been visiting Lyme since I was 10 and I’m 62 now,! It hasn’t changed that much. It has no rail access ( it used to,) which I think has helped keep crowds down, along with only a few hotels. The high street is nice too with some great pubs and restaurants dotted throughout and on side streets. A number of artists call it home and local work and studios can be found throughout the town along with multiple used book shops. There are beautiful gardens that back away the slopes behind the front with marvelous views to be had of the seafront. It’s truly the pearl of Dorset which I think is the prettiest county in my favorite part of the UK,: the southwest. Great job.

I agree, it was the most loveliest walk you have brought us on! I too, love to walk along the sea walls. Makes me miss the blazing sun of the summer watching the people enjoying the sun, the beautiful blue sky and glistening sea. Loved the white sails of the boats at the end just drifting leisurely away the summer day. Thanks for bringing us back to a day in the summer with this lovely walk and music! Good to hear you are feeling better! Take care of yourself! :)

My stepmother runs Mollies, and you can see her as she just gets out of your way as you go past the shop :) Just one thing... The river is of course the Lim (or sometimes Lym) and the bridge (4th oldest in Dorset) is called Buddles bridge as the stretch of the Lim under it (behind the Rockpoint Inn) is called the Buddles.

This video is dated 30th of October but the weather seems so nice for that time of year. I know video editing can take quite a while so why not mention the filming date in your videos so that we know that it was the weather at THAT time of filming. This video tempts me to go there in November but I can't know whether to expect similar weather as the filming date is unknown and we live more than 200 miles away.

Totally have to agree on the soundtrack from another comment...
Love the place and have stayed for weeks and visited many times. You picked a good day with the look of a mini sailing "regatta" going on.
You didn't do the town itself which is great but needs a "government health warning" only because of the steep main road, and when I say Steep, I mean Steep. Best car park is by the harbour. Explore by car first if new to Lyme as you may find yourself just driving through and that would be a great shame to miss it. There's a great trail guide somewhere through the town. Very quiet prior to Easter as a lot of places still shut since Xmas, be warned on that one.
Love it, and the buildings you walked past just stunning and every one of them raises a conversational point. Just go!.....

Last time we went there, there were people with two, three and even four dogs per couple , I’m no dog hater but it’s getting ridiculous, especially those on long leads, spoiling an otherwise nice walk along the front.

Have to say that my confidence in the Wolves manager has dipped in recent games, but I still think we will stay up starting with a huge boost when we beat Chelsea on Saturday!🙏✌️😎

I have maternal relatives who live within 15 minutes of Lyme Regis and therefore I have spent around 50 years visiting this town and many others around the coast
Lyme has not really changed very much in these years except the property prices
No young people can afford to buy property and have to move out
The walk along ‘The Cobb’ is great and was featured in the film A French Lieutenants Woman

Some of the filming of The French Lieutenant's Woman was done just outside Lyme on the old smugglers road. The crew and vans were parked next to where my parents lived. They were only expecting to be there for a short while so there were no portable toilet facilities. My late Mother came out to see what was going on and got chatting to Meryl Streep who asked if she could use the loo. She then joined my mum for a cup of tea and chat!

The Cobb reminds me that having holidayed at Lyme with her sister and parents Jane Austen set part of her last publish ed Persuasion at Lyme. See the magnificent BBC Film version starring Amanda Root and Ciaran Hines (1995) available on Dvd
