I was born in 1965
Every 2nd week of June from the age of 2 to the age of 10 my parents🙏🙏🙏would take me on holiday
We would get on the train from Birmingham New St to Weymouth
Always happy times. Always sunny and warm and great Punch and Judy. I used to scream a lot because, as my mother would tell me years later, it was toooooo violent.
We stayed in a hotel on the front called The Electra
My dad died in 2002 so I would take my mom to relative who lived in Charmouth but we would go to Sidmouth, Beer, and other places in East Devon
My mom died in 2019 - I went to Weymouth in August 2019
I’d did not disappoint
Beach still as good and the Pavilion Theatre great
I hope to go again sometime soon
