Super helpful. I had no idea the FSL8 was so large (though I did see the specs). Very serious piece of kit. Looks well made and substantial. I work outside more than in studio so I'll see if I can get by with with a reflector and perhaps a snoot.
Thank you! Yes, its pretty big. The smallest light I can put it on is my Godox 150watt. Anything smaller can't hold it up. But for a specific job, it works great.
Hi, It does fit on my ml60 since its bowens mount. But the problem is the weight of the thing, its too heavy for the ml60 to keep up. So, I agree if they made a smaller version of this adapter that would be really great.

Hi, great video thank you. Can I please ask have you tried the FL8 on any 500 watt plus LEDs ? I ask as this is small enough to fit in my case but I wonder if it can handle the heat on my Smallrig 450 which is a 500 watt and has the light output of a 600 watt.
I got a rare request to video a few speeches for a book release party in a large ballroom. Pretty much none of the lights I own (mostly for interviews, basically softboxes with some LED bulbs inside) will work well unless i can get them close. I have a limited budget for the shoot, would prefer to buy (but could rent) a light. Any recommendations on something I could put further in the back of the room and focus on the speakers that would still create a good video light? Seems this FLS8 Fresnel might be magical for that, even with something like a 150w led? I wander if it can work with FV200
Hi, I guess it depends on how far you need to be and the power of your light. using the FLS8 will increase the distance and power output because of how it focuses the light. But I'd put it on a high stand so not to be in eye shot of the person talking. You don't want to blind them :) It would be almost the same as spot theater lighting at that point. The FLS8 is a bowens mount so should fit on any bowens mount light. That said, mine fit perfectly on my 200 watt light and my 60 watt although it was a bit heavy to actually use. I also have the Godox 150 watt and it didn't fit on that for some reason. It seemed to tight but it does fit all of my other bowens mount accessories. Not sure why but when I use it I use my 200 watt light.
Hi, I'm not familiar with the AD600 but if it's a bowens mount strobe this will fit. Just know it's pretty heavy so if the AD600 mount is small, that may be an issue.
