I got The MX s mouse just a few days ago just for speeding up my editing in resolve. Loving it so far. Having that muscle memory real dose speed things up, so you can be more creative and in stay in the artistic flow on the time line.
FOLLOW UP: I received the MX3 and am using it. First, be advised, most likely you will have to get into Davinci keyboard shortcut mapping (option+command+k) and it's not always straightforward. This will take time! (For those like me that aren't editing 40hr/wk.) I come from the Magic Mouse (Mac) which, as you said, can do quite a bit shortcut-wise. However, I will say, you have more programmable options with the MX3. I started with 3 mouse shortcuts on the MX3 and am loving it. Ripple Delete to end. Ripple to Delete to start and open folder. I want to get fast using these before I add more. I'm still clumsy and have to look at the mouse sometimes until this becomes more natural. I've got to catch up now on your newest videos, Chad. Happy you got it and it's working for you. At first it does take a bit to get used to it, but once you get it, there is no going back to any other mouse. Editing without it becomes a headache! I am glad you have your own shortcut added for opening a folder... I don't know what that one is for, but if it's helping speed up your workflow, that is great!
Were you having a hard time finding the keyboard shortcut? I did show a portion in the video of how to find tools very easily. If you click on help, then start typing what you are looking for, in this example: Keyboard Shortcuts DaVinci Resolve will show you the location. Give that a try with some of the tools and see how it works for you.
After taking a glance at the keyboard shortcuts again, I can understand your struggles... I showed how to set up the mouse the way I use it, however, I didnt take into consideration how someone else might use it... So if you are struggling with finding the shortcuts you want, just leave a comment and I can find them pretty easily. It can be a little annoying to look for, but it usually only takes me a minute or two to figure them out.

And for the record, I'm not trying to be a negative Nilly on the MX# or you. Just that, this will take a little time to customize and dial in. I plan to start by using only a few of its functions, then expand as I learn. Thanks again Chad!!! Regarding the SSD; I have a 2 PC & a Mac. I use a "2 Port HDMI KVM Switch" with a press of a button I switch the monitor, keyboard and mouse to the selected any of 2 HDMI port. They also have a 4 port HDMI Selector. I use a "4x4 USB Selector". this allows me to switch 4 USB devices (such as memory sticks) to any of 4 computers by pressing a computer selection button. I bought these on Amazon and may be appropriate for your Amazon link. This has worked great for me getting data from PC1 PC2 or Mac. I can use a common memory stick and switch it between computers as if the memory stick resided on any of 4 computers. NOTE: I close any the memory stick files so I don't have to reject to switch.

As I do not use PC anymore, I can not fully understand how the operations work for what you are doing, but can get the gist of it. My keyboard and mouse setup could easily switch between multiple computers. I do believe the mixmaster 3s can be programmed to 3 different computers. In the near future I will be setting mine up for that as we will be doing a lot of live-streaming as well, so we will be utilizing a lot of things at once.

Currently, I am using Apple's Magic Mouse..which allows horizontal scrolling, and right and left clicking, in Davinci. Not too bad! I am able, for the most part, to keep my hand on the mouse throughout our edits, it's my left hand going to the keyboard that slows me down because I have to look at the keys - LOL!!! I figured the MX 35 has more programmable buttons ..thus, I should be able to increase productivity ?? We'll see. Keep up the great tut's, Chad!
Eyeballing the MX Master 3 for its thumb wheel. Can the thumbwheel be set/programmed for zooming the timeline in DVR? My typical DVR workflows utilizes a lot of timeline zooming. (I am using the MX Anywhere as my daily and really like it, the magspeed thumbwheel is amazing in daily task usage, also trying my wifes MX Ergo, now over 40+ hours on it and try as I might, I can NOT get used to a track ball, fumbling all over it's not natural to use in my work flows editing or daily work, AND the scroll wheel :? .. right out of 1995).
Yes, the thumb wheel and the middle scroll wheel can both be used for scrolling or zooming in on the timeline. The way I use it... On the thumbwheel, if you scroll up, it will scroll the timeline to the right. It will scroll left if you go down on it. If you press Alt/Opt and scroll, it will zoom the timeline wide. If you press shift and scroll it will zoom the timeline larger by expanding it up and down. These are all of the default settings. If you want the wheel to do something specifically, you can use the keyboard shortcuts as a program for them to scroll exactly how you want it to.

That would be cool, however I use the mouse as it is programmable to so many different applications. I do a lot of photography work, so it’s necessary for me.

@@chadmullins7553 I bought the mouse Master 3S , but Logitech only has the Windows 10 version for its app. Big mistake on my part. I never imagined that such an advanced mouse would be so backwards.
