I like to see this positive review. I bought a very sophisticated-looking George Beene watch from a thrift shop for $16. It wasn't until I got home that I realized that all 3 of the internal dials were fake and served no purpose but aesthetics. It bothered me because they could have kept those 3 gold circles on there for looks, but omitted the hands and numbers so that the piece would seem more honest. But they looked like real dials with real hands and real numbers and they didn't do anything. They were just there to LOOK like an expensive watch. Out of frustration, I looked for watches that have working inner dials, and now I have an Olevs G9947 with a black face, and a gold and silver metal link band. It has 4 inner dials. 3 of them work: stopwatch seconds, stopwatch minutes, and a 24-hour timer with day and night indicator. However, the top inner dial really annoys me. It looks like a spring for a tourbillon, but this dial doesn't move at all. In my opinion, they shouldn't have put that there if it wasn't going to move. It would have been a more honest design if they just omitted the tourbillon sping dial and just left it out. Plus, the whole point of a tourbillon watch is to watch that tourbillon and its spring in constant motion. This top inner dial is a spiral that looks like a spring, but it is just static and does nothing but annoys people who understand what that is supposed to represent and what it WOULD be doing if it were an actual functional part of the watch. But, it is a beautiful and sophisticated watch. It has a lot of functionality and it's really fun to watch the stopwatch reset once you've had it running for a few minutes.

As long as it is NOT stuffed with a Miyota (personally suffered HIGH failure rate with Citizen, while all of my Seiko/TMI calibre watches take a kicking and keep on beating), chances are good it will survive 10 years or more, and if it does 10 years, it is probably good to good on-board a new Voyager expedition OH, if the calibre too is really Chinese quartz, I trust that more than Miyota and any Swiss quartz, no jokes here!

I guess the perfect watch for a scientist is the Rolex Milgauss which can theoretically withstand magnetic fields of up to 1,000 Gauss. But obviously the price is something else!!
The days have long passed where Chinese anything could always be considered junk. The watch industry in China has come a long way and today it's possible to buy watches for less than $50 that are exceedingly well made and which will last a very long time. Pricing has become more of a marketing game than a real reflection on worth. For example, I have over a dozen Olev quartz watches all of which seem to be well made, well finished and all of which keep excellent time. None of them cost me more than $35 Canadian and this has allowed me to grow a watch collection which gives me a lot of pleasure when each morning I get to chose the watch of the day. Frankly, if I was one of the major name brands, i would be worried about this type of competition. Frankly, the only thing that in the future will ensure their survival is the ability to continue to appeal to snobbery on name brand, and goodness knows there are a lot of people like that
Got my first Oupinke last week, which is basically Olevs higher-end line, and I was shocked by the quality of it. Paid $340, but it genuinely looks and feels like a $500+ watch
Thanks for the discussion. Recently decided to pick up an Automatic Olevs (well two) to try out. A nice black and a gold - both of the tourbillon design.
I have this watch in black/ white/ silver, it cost me more to get the bracelet adjusted than the watch. It's beautiful looks good on the wrist, the crown symbol is good, can't go wrong for a good looking cheap watch.
Thank you for your comment I agree it would be cool to have a few different colours. I might do a follow-up video about how to adjust the strap it's pretty easy once you know how 👍🏼
@@brandonbellin4984 not the time the bracelet, it was a bit difficult so took it to a freind who works in a jewelers did it on the cheap. Just removing lnks. The watch cost about £7.00. All in all I got a good looking watch for about £15.00.
I have over a dozen OLEV watches and can say categorically that they are superb value for the little they cost. Whether they last long term is an open question but if they die, they are cheap to replace
thanks for making this review. I enjoyed it. I had already purchased mine. I enjoyed this perspective. how bad is the accuracy on the watch you received?
I would call it a SMART move mate! Owning such a watch that delivers AND that also looks amazing for a fraction of what some other people pay for "the other brand" for status, is a real slap in the face
Invicta Pro Diver 8926OB automatic with NH35 movement ..... solid, reliable, accurate and looks stunning. My personal experience. Cost around 70 bucks. Too good to be true but it's true 😊
Good review. I've been wearing a quartz Hulk homage (Reginald) for four years and just love the look, feel and utility. Mineral crystals are very hardy, not a scratch on it. Strangely enough, I've never gotten comment on it, positive or negative. Canadians don't seem to care :)
Something that looks that luxry and detail for 40 bucks ? Thats a steal, paying thousands of dollars for a watch, youre just paying for the brand but someone like me who never cared about status would enjoy this as its practical, nice and very budget friendly
I bought one two years ago,it keeps good time, nice looking few guys thought was a Rolex.I did correct them added im so over wanting a Rolex. I respect the brand, but put that money in my boat...
After seeing this video and the other ones you've done on this company I just bought 2 of their watches tonight lol. Greetings from over in Canada! I didn't get these exact ones but a green one that was very close and a catchy white and black one. Having seen your videos I think you'd be an absolute perfect person for a teatime chat about literally anything with. And that's a compliment because I don't have tea with very many people lol. My watches should be here within the last week of January apparently, so one could say I'm excited 😂 I needed a new watch anyway so this ends up perfect. I got two. 😂

I own this one (black face) and the ridiculous 'luminous' one. I bought the luminous one first, just to have a ridiculously tacky gold watch. Its very comfortable and then I bought the submariner for $14. Its well worth the money. nice watch(es)
Thanks for your comment! I know exactly what you mean that is what I love about inexpensive watches, you can buy yourself a crazy The Wolf of Wall Street style "gold" watch just for fun 😁
Just to add to my last comment if i won the lottery i couldnt live with myself wearing a watch that could home 50 people either sounds like your a bit like me in that way
i am finding that many people do not know the difference between a $10 dollar watch and a $100,000.00 dollar watch- only genuine watch snobs may know, but I don't hang with watch snobs. I have a few homage watches that I wear because I like the style. I just have better things to buy with the money I save.
Exactly! Personally I look at a lot of different watches at different price points but I try not to let the price determine my opinion. At the end of the day a $15 Casio can do everything a Rolex can do in fact it can do it better so it is just a matter of what you like and enjoy.
@@RossetBespokeButlers I am with you 100 percent- I have about three watches that I consider expensive, but all my other watches are just really nice looking and fun to wear. Many folks stop wearing watches due to smart phones and smart watches- so maybe someday, watches might come back into style.
I got a free accurist watch from a car boot sale because it wasn't working i put in 50 pence battery in it and it works well in the last year it only lost 3 seconds you cant beat Japanese watches and i found out its worth 150 pounds new so im happy 😊
Hello from America. Thank you for the video friend. I have the Hulk as well and I love it. Cadisen is another great watch company! I get compliments all the time on the Cadisen and its the homage to the day date.
That intro was great. Do you really think they used that part of the brand name OLEV on purpose to look like the name Rolex? I want to buy one now so I can Sharpie the box. Thanks for the video.
Have you opened it? Is the mechanism a cheap one, or is it decent? Someone at one review said it is an SL28 (chinese)... Also: it says Stainless Steel at the back. But I don't know if it is only the back or all the case. Thanks
Whenever you see "stainless steel back" it means "just the back cover plate is stainless steel." And the case is some sort of plated alloy metal. If a watch is 100% stainless, it will say so. Because that is a good selling point.
@@RossetBespokeButlers it is thank you for the kind words. I don’t wear or buy anything I couldn’t replace with a month’s salary. It’s a golden rule I’ve learned and stick by.
I do love my Olevs, but also the reason i bought it is because I can’t afford a Rolex and the Olevs is always confused for a Rolex at first glance and it’s not a fake Rolex.
Exactly, most people can't afford a Rolex. Even some people who buy them can't afford them much better to get an inexpensive watch that looks similar and realistically does the same thing.
@@RossetBespokeButlers In all honesty, I am a fan of the 'minimalistic' look, classic clock face with a leather or leather look strap. Of course, even a great minimalistic watch isn't necessarily a minimalistic price. But that's what's so great about Olevs, they do a variety of great looking watches for around the £40 mark.
Bottom line.... you get what you pay for. If you want superb Swiss craftsmanship, a long history and legacy, the finest materials that money can buy, and status and prestige, then you spend $20,000. If you just want a nice looking watch that keeps time accurately, then you spend $20. And the Olevs isn't even the best choice for that. You could have spent a little bit more and gotten a Casio Duro, that has a screw down crown, a screw in caseback and 660 feet of water resistance!
Great question. It is a bit awkward to answer because it is sort of half and half. It is not solid like you would see on a Rolex or similar but it is finished at the sides not just folded over like you see on some cheap watches. I hope that makes sense.
Heads up to everybody not to be a jerk. But almost blew the speakers out of my phone. The audio is very, very loud and violent and the beginning of the video. Not sure where he is but still good video. I wish there was a close up of the watch to see if it actually ticks. Or sweeps but I only scrolled through the video because of the sound
Thank you for your message. Audio has been my biggest challenge with videos, some videos people say it is too quiet and sometimes too loud. I am always trying to improve 😁
@@synonymous123 I think that if you buy from some places like Ali Express or ebay the price is cheaper but they have been sitting around in a container for months or years so buy the time the customer gets the watch they are already low on battery. That is why I paid a little more (still not much) to get it direct. I have 3 quartz OLEVS watches and one automatic and I have had no issues.
Yes, there’s a reputable seller who prices the watch at 12 pounds there, perhaps it’d be worth the loss in battery if the battery replacement is cheap… as in my region the watch on amazon is quite a bit more than 40
@@RossetBespokeButlers Yeah I wish you could do a month long review of the Casio MRW-200H-1E as well. I absolutely love mine and wear it everyday, little polywatch and the acrylic crystal is good again. I also recommend the Pagani Design over all homage Submarines for less than $100USD.
@@stigstingray2256My pro diver 8926OB averages less than two seconds error per day. I opened the case back and adjusted the speed by moving the tiny lever clockwise or anticlockwise. Some patience and a few trial and error runs. It's a simple adjustment. There are many YT videos explaining how to do it. Very slight adjustments are needed. The lever is very sensitive.
The watch "community" seems so shallow, people who aren't watch nerds won't even notice. I still think its a little tacky to have such a flashy-looking piece as opposed to something more conservative at a similar price but I like the OLEV skeleton automatic watches with the stars and everything because its just so over the top. I would feel similarly uncomfortable having a watch worth more than my car on my wrist too, its classy if you've earned it but to be a show off is so vain
in my experience the japanese homage rolex homages are head and shoulders above any chinese homage in quality and reliability every chinese homage ibrand ive had has had issues while i know the japanese make their watches in china they hold their brands to a much higher standard than the chinese do
I agree, Japan has some absolutely brilliant watch brands in some ways even better than Swiss. The Chinese ones are not to that level yet. I do think that within the next 10 years Chinese brands will get there. At the moment they are cheaper than Japanese equivalents so that is good for anyone without much money to spend.
Well in today's world wearing a high priced watch can easily take your life. People are suffering and would go to murder frenzy for a watch like a rolex just to get some cash. Nh35 movements keeps time extremely well also.
I was thinking about getting one of these. I'm still debating. They have a couple different models. But certain metals against my skin. If it's not real gold, silver or surgical steel will turn my skin green. I have to see what material the bands and the watch is made out of they look beautiful. I would never drop even if I had billions of dollars. The rolewax money. Gonna watch when I can get something like this? Where no one would even know a lot of rappers and celebrities by shit like this an Electroplated gold and fake diamonds and all that because they have the money to a be. Able to afford the real deal, why not wear k ockoffs
Hi, I am not 100% sure but it says it is made of stainless steel and I have worn it loads now and there has been zero discoloration or rust so I believe it. I know what you mean with cheap alloys that make skin go green it definitely has not done that to me so I assume it would be the same for everyone. As to why grade of stainless I really don't want to guess at th chrome level but it looks good
haha I gotten one too and see if anyone giving any questions about the watch im going too tell them someone that won the lottery and they bought me a Rolex watch for my birthday
think of it this way: for $30 usd you are never going to get the performance snd durability of a $15,000 swiss rolex sub but its more like a " prop" watch for show and decorative purposes this watch im sure has glitches and is far from perfect and it wont be, how can u expect that from a $30 homage? its impossible but give them credit where credit is due who else could actually do this?
I'm betting that the people who make $20k watches want you to wear them chopping wood, digging up holes for outhouses, and otherwise living a real life. Those dings and scratches tell the story of a life well lived.
I think you are correct. Rolex submariner especially are supposed to be adventure watches for the military and divers and things like that. Not a fashion accessory.
Good video, unfortunately I'm still not convinced. Not the fact that it's an affordable watch. As a matter of fact I have an Aragon Dive Master 4 EVO which is only $160 USD. What gives me pause is the bracelet and crystal. In comparison to the automatic version, mine has solid end links, sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, milled deployant clasp. It just doesn't add up in value. Also like you it would feel like I'm a fraud.

I have not seen them for as little as £10 that is amazing. I have 2 new OLEVS watches to review and I will share the videos in the next month or so!
Thanks Simeon
Good thing you did that to a 10 pound watch lol
@@keith819 Right I would have been devastated if it was the real deal! I was so confused by your reply by thinking you meant weight. I didn’t even think of our difference in currency lol
Interesting,I'm sure you tried everything to de magnetize it but still interesting.
Frankly, the only thing that in the future will ensure their survival is the ability to continue to appeal to snobbery on name brand, and goodness knows there are a lot of people like that
I agree with you 100%
Great, are you interested in reviewing more Olevs watches?
Hi yes I would love to, I really like this watch so if your others are just as good that would be awesome!
How good is it? Im planning to buy one, $50 for Automatic movement is insane.
This video convinced me to buy a Olev I started a cheap watch only collection this is perfect
Thank you for your review. I was hesitant in buying one. But I will definitely buy one now.
Thank you
I have a few Olevs watches and they are great, especially for the price.
Just got my automatic version today! It's absolutely beautiful! This is my 2nd olevs watch and it's going right in the winder case next to the other.
Enjoy it
I have this watch in black/ white/ silver, it cost me more to get the bracelet adjusted than the watch. It's beautiful looks good on the wrist, the crown symbol is good, can't go wrong for a good looking cheap watch.
Wait you paid to adjust your watch?
@@brandonbellin4984 11.50
Thank you. The accuracy on mine has actually been really good only fluctuating by a few seconds.
I liked how that barista waited until you started talking to operate the espresso machine.
I know, it always happens when filming 😁
I would call it a SMART move mate! Owning such a watch that delivers AND that also looks amazing for a fraction of what some other people pay for "the other brand" for status, is a real slap in the face
Agreed, thank you
Invicta Pro Diver 8926OB automatic with NH35 movement ..... solid, reliable, accurate and looks stunning. My personal experience. Cost around 70 bucks. Too good to be true but it's true 😊
I like Invicta watches, great value.
Good review. I've been wearing a quartz Hulk homage (Reginald) for four years and just love the look, feel and utility. Mineral crystals are very hardy, not a scratch on it. Strangely enough, I've never gotten comment on it, positive or negative. Canadians don't seem to care :)
Great, I will look out for that make, thank you
Such an honest helpful review as I was needing this before buying one. Thank u !
You are very welcome. Thank you for your message.
I had to like this video because of that intro. Had me in stitches...Rolexs
Thank you
Something that looks that luxry and detail for 40 bucks ? Thats a steal, paying thousands of dollars for a watch, youre just paying for the brand but someone like me who never cared about status would enjoy this as its practical, nice and very budget friendly
100% and I am still using it most days when I work on the car or in the garden and it looks like new!
I got an automatic one in blue from my fiancée and her son this past Christmas, it’s nice
Just bought one withe leather strap looks amazing thanks for the review 👍
That is great! Enjoy
I have the olevs N6617..it was around 150$ and I love it
Just got this exact watch in the mail todaay. And I have to say its perfect.
That is great, thank you for your comment!
is it ceramic bezel or rubber bezel?
I bought one two years ago,it keeps good time, nice looking few guys thought was a Rolex.I did correct them added im so over wanting a Rolex. I respect the brand, but put that money in my boat...
Thank you for your message. Yes a boat sounds much cooler than a Rolex, 100% enjoy!
I got two. 😂
Thank you very much! Sorry it took me a while to reply it is easy to miss comments. I really appreciate you watching my videos I hope you now have your watches and that you are enjoying them!
At approximately 10:05 the hour and minute hand obscure the logo just enough to make it look likje it says OLEX LOL!!
I own this one (black face) and the ridiculous 'luminous' one. I bought the luminous one first, just to have a ridiculously tacky gold watch. Its very comfortable and then I bought the submariner for $14. Its well worth the money. nice watch(es)
Thanks for your comment! I know exactly what you mean that is what I love about inexpensive watches, you can buy yourself a crazy The Wolf of Wall Street style "gold" watch just for fun 😁
is it ceramic bezel or rubber bezel?
Just to add to my last comment if i won the lottery i couldnt live with myself wearing a watch that could home 50 people either sounds like your a bit like me in that way
Instead you can support an oppressive regime by buying PRC tat.
Instead you could support an oppressive regime by buying PRC tat.
Seems like my earlier comment has not been published.
Free speech becoming less and less free.
i am finding that many people do not know the difference between a $10 dollar watch and a $100,000.00 dollar watch- only genuine watch snobs may know, but I don't hang with watch snobs.
I have 3 Olevs I work for a funeral home and wear them during service. I really like the watches.
Thanks for the honesty. I may just go for one of these.
Great, thank you. Enjoy!
I got a free accurist watch from a car boot sale because it wasn't working i put in 50 pence battery in it and it works well in the last year it only lost 3 seconds you cant beat Japanese watches and i found out its worth 150 pounds new so im happy 😊
I agree Accurist watches are great but I believe they are a British brand. Although the movements are probably made in Japan.
got a regular ultra-thin watch. Cheap, but love it. If it wears out, just getting a new one
Just bought one with black straps wow looks like a $50,000 Original Rolex 😊 ❤❤❤❤
I am glad you like it
Think I might go for a $98 one with an automatic movement… might be a nice way to get into the watch game
Great choice. I also have an automatic from OLEVS and it keeps brilliant time. Enjoy!
Hello from America. Thank you for the video friend. I have the Hulk as well and I love it. Cadisen is another great watch company! I get compliments all the time on the Cadisen and its the homage to the day date.
Wonderful thank you. It sounds like I will need to try Cadisen out.
Just purchased the 7006 ceramic for testing and how it feels before purchasing a decent ceramic one. It was like 30 Euro
That intro was great. Do you really think they used that part of the brand name OLEV on purpose to look like the name Rolex? I want to buy one now so I can Sharpie the box. Thanks for the video.
Lol for sure, squint your eyes and it turns into ROLEX, the O looks like an R and the EV turns into X
There's a lot of good low budget watches like that. Good review.
Great review! Thanks for posting and I just bought the same color
Thank you
Thanks for you detailed information. I also think it is worth buying a piece.
Thank you
Just purchased a 1106 olevs. ❤
Wonderful
Have you opened it? Is the mechanism a cheap one, or is it decent?
Someone at one review said it is an SL28 (chinese)...
Also: it says Stainless Steel at the back. But I don't know if it is only the back or all the case.
Thanks
Whenever you see "stainless steel back" it means "just the back cover plate is stainless steel." And the case is some sort of plated alloy metal. If a watch is 100% stainless, it will say so. Because that is a good selling point.
I have the auto. Bloody good watch. I have a few watches and this is the only one anyone comments on.
Thanks for the review where I am I can get the watch delivered for the equivalent of £15.o4p. I should probably get one to try out at that price!
That's a great price! 😊
Great review buddy I'm sold
Thank you I really appreciate it
thanks for the video brother. Keep up the good content.
Thank you, it really means a lot that you enjoyed it.
My friend got killed for his Rolex, so I really understand the feeling uncomfortable about someone thinking you had that on your wrist.
I am very sorry to hear about your friend that is a terrible thing.
@@RossetBespokeButlers it is thank you for the kind words. I don’t wear or buy anything I couldn’t replace with a month’s salary. It’s a golden rule I’ve learned and stick by.
Great honest review 👏
Thank you 🙂
very funny intro! ROLEX OLEVS
Thank you 😊
my left ear enjoyed this
Yes it's unfortunate that the sound went wrong on this video sorry.
I just ordered one of these I’ve never owned a watch before
I really hope you enjoy it! I am still really happy with mine.
Great review by the way
Thank you very much I appreciate it 🙏
Far from being a millionaire, I own three Olevs watches. Great brand
That's great, which ones do you own if you do not mind me asking.
I agree 💯
I have 3 of these all look and work great
Its bracelet is folded or solid?
Great question. It is a bit awkward to answer because it is sort of half and half. It is not solid like you would see on a Rolex or similar but it is finished at the sides not just folded over like you see on some cheap watches. I hope that makes sense.
An homage of a fellow traveler,
ceramic bezel or rubber bezel?
is the bezel steel or rubber?
Good video🎉
Thank you
Do you recommend me to buy this I am 13yr old
I can't think of any reason why not. It is strong, looks good and is easy to look after.
The dodgy watches im cool with but not the dodgy watch
How long did the battery last? Is it still going?
I was wearing it yesterday and still going strong
@@RossetBespokeButlers I see, I was planning to buy this watch and some review said the battery died in a month. Thank you!
Yes, there’s a reputable seller who prices the watch at 12 pounds there, perhaps it’d be worth the loss in battery if the battery replacement is cheap… as in my region the watch on amazon is quite a bit more than 40
My watch battery lasted a year in this watch. Would definitely recommend this watch for the price cant go wrong@@synonymous123
3:17 just the strap? 😂
I like it. I didn’t buy it because it looks like a Rolex 😅 I bought it because it was cheap. 😊
A very good reason!
Are the cases made of metal-painted plastic or are they stainless steel?
All steel no visible plastic at all.
One year now and i really like my olevs. Have 3 now. Never wear my submariner
That is really good to hear
Awesome beater watch, but, a Invicta is still a better watch.
Cool thanks. I will have to get my hands on an Invicta so I can compare!
My Automatic Invicta pro diver, does not keep good time, runs fast all the time😢
@@stigstingray2256My pro diver 8926OB averages less than two seconds error per day.
Would be nice to look at the watch
I get lots of compliments from my $500 Tissot watch.
Tissot make some lovely watches
in
my experience the japanese homage rolex homages are head and shoulders above any chinese homage in quality and reliability every chinese homage ibrand ive had has had issues while i know the japanese make their watches in china they hold their brands to a much higher standard than the chinese do
I agree, Japan has some absolutely brilliant watch brands in some ways even better than Swiss. The Chinese ones are not to that level yet. I do think that within the next 10 years Chinese brands will get there. At the moment they are cheaper than Japanese equivalents so that is good for anyone without much money to spend.
Thank you.
Thank you
I've just brought the Submariner green replica 200 quid
Model name? 🇮🇳❤️
Well in today's world wearing a high priced watch can easily take your life. People are suffering and would go to murder frenzy for a watch like a rolex just to get some cash. Nh35 movements keeps time extremely well also.
True
thank you ❤❤❤
Thank you
I was thinking about getting one of these.
As to why grade of stainless I really don't want to guess at th chrome level but it looks good
I wouldn't want to wear a watch like that just because there are enough stupid thieves who would beat me up on the sidewalk for it. 😕
You make an excellent point. I actually use a CASIO when traveling for that reason
I was wearing only my right earbud when watching this at first lol
haha I gotten one too and see if anyone giving any questions about the watch im going too tell them someone that won the lottery and they bought me a Rolex watch for my birthday
Brilliant!
what is the model number?
think of it this way: for $30 usd you are never going to get the performance snd durability of a $15,000 swiss rolex sub but its more like a " prop" watch for show and decorative purposes this watch im sure has glitches and is far from perfect and it wont be, how can u expect that from a $30 homage? its impossible but give them credit where credit is due who else could actually do this?
I think you are exactly right
I'm betting that the people who make $20k watches want you to wear them chopping wood, digging up holes for outhouses, and otherwise living a real life. Those dings and scratches tell the story of a life well lived.
I think you are correct. Rolex submariner especially are supposed to be adventure watches for the military and divers and things like that. Not a fashion accessory.
$10.00 watch or $20.000 watch-the time is still the same
100% true
It's not the watch itself, it's the principle that you have an expensive watch.
The video was good but you have to work with the audio. After a while it becomes unbearable to hear your voice in only one ear (left ear).
Thank you for your feedback. That is really interesting I do not know why it is not in stereo I have not tried listening to it with earphones.
I love mine but....the numbers glow but the hands don't...lol😢
The lum on mine is also a bit weak. If it has been in loads of sun it works ok but that doesn't often happen here in Scotland 😁
Had both….never want another Rolex….too expensive to repair…
Very true the servicing cost of a Rolex is something people often overlook when they are thinking about the cost
Thank you for your message. I just looked up Divemaster 4 EVO it looks really good. Hopefully I will be able to review one at some point!
