thanks for the info Dave..... I bought two Olevs, one of the blue face and one of the green face style...... all of a sudden the hour hand got stuck on the 11 number. I was able to move the hand via the stem but it still runs behind. The second hand keeps proper time. Any thoughts on why ? My watch guy says it can't be fixed.
OLEVS WATCHES ARE GREAT I HAVE 2 IN MY COLLECTION FROM AMAZON LIKE YOU SAID YOU DON'T HAVE TO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY TO START YOUR COLLECTION AMAZON IS A LIFE SAVER THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Dave, this has happened to me a few times. These are budget watches, and while they offer great value, then tend to use cheap batteries that only last a year or two. And sometimes they might be in storage for quite a while before you get them, so your watch could die right after you get it. LR batteries are alkaline, and don't last as long as SR batteries that are silver oxide. That really is a beautiful watch, and was well worth the price you paid for it, despite having a cheap battery in it.
A simple bit of advice, if you're not wearing your quartz battery driven watch, pull the crown and disconnect the battery. Simply set the time/date when you want to wear the watch. Save a lot on battery replacement.
Hi Dave, new subscriber here, I like Olevs watches too. I just got a submariner style with the red face and bezel from Amazon for under 40 bucks. She’s a beauty.
