It’s been a couple of times where I’ve gone to this bar and had appetizers and roughly bought 12 shots in two hours. I could’ve definitely have used this especially driving back to Orange County.
The range of peoples reactions is wild. Geebs had his GF do the same thing, and she had the complete opposite reaction. She said she preferred to 'Be the passenger princess' and that she hated driving, said she would for sure use it.
Totally with Belen on this. There is something much more relaxing about just being in control and being in a state of flow driving it’s almost a way to switch off from your day because you’re just concentrating on driving the car. It’s not for me at all
My car has Auto park and I have never used it. I use radar cruise but I don't use lane keep. I feel like I'd react the same way as Belen to a car driving itself 😅
I'm with Belen on this one. No way in hell am I trusting a computer to driver for me right now. Not because I don't think it can go from point A to point B, but because it doesn't know what to do in a real emergency. Until everyone is using self driving, it will never be safe. I hope that day never comes, though, because I love driving!!!
Your concern is valid: How ever, a computer can sample 100 to 1000 times faster than you can think, it can consider more inputs/scenarios than you are typically keeping track of (I.E 2,3 cars ahead or behind you). Aniticapate things in more scenarios than you. I don't think we're ready for fully autonomous world but I think supervisor is a great start. This is from someone who doesn't particularly like Tesla/Electric cars. It'll keep getting better and better and someday be 99.99% reliable.
I love driving. The grand majority of the mileage that's on my car is just for the drive and nothing else. That being said, I love letting my car drive itself because it's fun to experience it.
the capabilities of fsd is crazy as you know from those full time fsd test youtubers. but every video i saw so far of youtubers making their significant others test fsd for the first time always just ends up doing a boring highway drive and unfortunately yours became the same. would love to see some normal around the town driving reactions.
FSD will be a game changer for a lot of people. My mother is at an age where she can no longer drive herself. Imagine being able to jump in her car and tell it to drive her to the shop or to her friends place or to the club for lunch. Then you have the robotaxi service where you will pay a small subscription fee and you won't need to own a car at all. Game changer.
