@@fitzwits it's noticable as long as they don't crit you, you go from needing 5 scavenger hits to die up to 9 hits to die. Crits still do full damage though which honestly is kind of shitty your armor rating should reduce the headshot damage taken.

The FS-34 Exterminator, when it comes around, is flat medium (100 armour, 500 speed, 100 stamina regen) with Fortified. The FS-34 Eradicator is the same passive, in light armour (50 - 550 - 125).
Got that scout armor and absolutely love it for the mobility, which I think is still the easy pick over medium armor, especially considering the microscopic advantage of the armor rating even after the fix. Mobility is king.
I’ve had a lot of fun “sniping” artillery towers from distance with EATS. If you hit the weak spot dead on it’s a 1 shot other wise it’s 2. Something about killing then from over 200 meters is a chefs kiss
Another fun and spicy pick is the laser cannon for bots. It handles hulks pretty well, tanks and heavy cannons get melted by it. it doesn’t handles scout striders well though. It’s a fun way to shake it up
I use the Laser Cannon almost exclusively for Bots. It can handle Striders pretty decently. The tippy-top of their head is almost always visible so I frequently just aim at the top line and it takes them down almost instantly. If you can't see the top of their head, just aim square through the eyehole - shouldn't take more then half-ish of the mag. Not ideal if there's a bunch of them, or if they're close. But if they're close, usually you can just dive behind them and take out several riders pretty quick. I love it though for the Tanks and Cannons. Hulks are still tricky because the facehole is so small. If you can hit it reliably, again at a decent range, they go down pretty quick too. If you miss most of the time though it can take forever. It does well against almost every other enemy type, save for 2. The Berserker...not sure if they just have more armor or if their lumbering run style moves their head around so it's hard to hit. But I feel like they always seem to take 3/4 of the mag to kill one, so if there's 3+ of them nearby it becomes an instant flee scenario. The other is Rocket Devastators, who have enough armor to survive the laser for a few seconds and get off a rocket barrage. Simply strafing while ADS'd is usually enough for most enemies to miss you while shooting, but these rocket barrages ALWAYS seem to hit. So if there's a Rocket Dev at shorter range, it's also an instant flee or nade toss.
Fun to switch up and use once in a while yeah, but really not as versatile as the other options. Not to mention the big flashy laser obscures the target quite a bit. Can't tell exactly where I'm aiming half the time.
Admittedly I haven't done the hardest difficulties yet, but I've been loving the autocannon for bots. Takes out hulks in a few shots to the head from afar, can shoot it at a dropship and kill a bunch of the fodder before they drop, has tons of ammo, and if you dont fully empty it a quick reload. Yes it takes up a backpack slot but I just look at that as another strategem I can bring instead.
I'm with you, Autocannon feels great for any mission really, but giving up the personal shield backpack slot is a feelsbad against Automatons. Hard to give it up.
The autocannon on difficulty 7-9 isn’t going to help you survive all those rocket bots and Canon Towers as much as the AMR + Shield Pack combo. But there’s an alternative. Autocannon + Dome Shield combo.
The bane of my helldivers existence is and will forever be… those god damn Rocket Devastators, unleashing barrages of instant death every 5 seconds. Have a shield? Dead. Have a mech? Dead. Have a dream? BOOII did you come to the wrong binary speaking planet. And if it’s not a rocket devastator….. it’s a cannon turret a mile away
main reason why i just run auto cannon, shield just increases your hitbox making you easier for rockets to hit you, so rather than deal with rocket devastators while trying to take out a base, i just snipe the factories and turrets call in a cluster bomb to clean up and walk in and collect samples with little to no opposition.
The 380mm HE Barrage has been a part of my loadouts before it got buffed, now I start choosing it over something like the Eagle Airstrike. But it depends on what type of mission. I’ll usually be going with Orbital laser, 380mm, Eagle Airstrike, autocannon with light servo assisted armor for blitz missions. Eradicate mission will have me using EMS mortar, mortar, autocannon sentry, and recoiless rifle. Extract civilians I’ll go with an autocannon sentry, ems mortar, sometimes a Tesla tower or an Eagle Airstrike, with the railgun or autocannon again as my support weapon. Sabotage missions will have feature the 380mm and orbital laser again usually with the Eagle Airstrike, though the Patriot Exosuit comes in handy too. Data, ICBM, and Geological survey missions will see more sentries again (I really like the sentries) in the flavor of EMS, Autocannon, and mortar/tesla tower/or rocket. Sometimes I’ll swap the third sentry for either a laser or 380mm and a railgun. I tend to use the light servo assisted armor for everything because I like the throw distance and speed l more than anything. Though I do sometimes pay for that by catching a rocket. Plasma scorcher and redeemer for my weapons, and the HE grenade because I don’t like how finicky the impact grenade is with fabricators (especially when thrown from the distances servo assisted lets you). All in all these are the builds I use for 5-9 difficulty missions. Usually run off on my own, but always playing with friends. If I’m specifically hunting samples, I’ll swap the servo assisted armor for something with a scout perk instead, but I haven’t had to do that in a while since the game won’t let me carry more than 500/250/100 samples 😅
@@AnarexicSumo Maybe if I played public lobbies. But I only really ever play with my friends, and we all just run around and do our own thing, looking for samples and doing main/side objectives
USE THE EAGLE AIRSTRIKE. It can one shot fabricators, tanks and hulks and then is good for clearing a lot of mobs as well. You get 3 charges (with the ship module) and you will never go back.
Impact grenades are also very good against tanks. You can destroy them with two grenades to the top turret so long as the explosion is catching the back vent. I've blown up tanks this way while not even seeing the vent because of where the impact exploded.
Smokes work really well against bots. Managed a full squad extract when we were at 0 respawns while being overrun on 7 by chucking a bunch of smoke airstrikes. Their aggression dropped a good amount
I got it, it’s really freaking good, it was borderline op before the armour fixes but now it’s just really freaking good. Actually I think I have the super light armour (544 speed)
I got it today, it's called the FS-38 Eradicator. You still die like a fly without the shield. The medium armor with 50% explosive defense is probably optimal.
A personal favorite stratagem for Bots is the arc thrower. Thanks to its innate armor ignoring, it can handle pretty much everything but tanks, even taking down Hulks with relative ease. It’s not as easy as the Rifles stratagems, buts it’s very handy when the Hulks are wandering in groups.
arc is incredible against bugs too. it’s prob the most underrated support that’s secretly S. it can take down all but the Titan reliably, Chargers don’t take that long to kill
It can kill tanks, too. It just takes a while, and you have to be careful not to get blasted by their main cannon when you peek. It will one-shot you regardless of your armor and even if you have a shield.
There is actually a light armor that has fortified that I main on automaton missions. It's called FS-38 Eradicator armor, but it was a superstore only set. Highly recommend it if you see it coming back into rotation, it's saved me many time while letting me keep a huge amount of stamina.
the fact you can only fire once though before a 5 sec reload. Dont get me wrong, I love the recoiless but its not what I use in botgeddon missions difficulties 7 and above EXCEPT when its time to shoot all dropships out of the sky or when I have a friend to help me load haha. props on being fun, but I think autocannon, grenade launcher and Anti materiel rifle are the better support weapons for all situations here. They can kill anything though you need to hit weak spots like vents sometimes
ok i know im 2 weeks late and i think the autocannon got buffed in that time but my god is it amazing for bots now. it 2 shots hulks in the eye, 1 shots the walker things, 3 shots tanks and the big tower gun as well as takes out the fabricators with 1 shot in the vent.
I'm glad people are finding love for the AMR, I have always been a big fan. I don't typically bring it in my loadout though because of how frequently you can find them just lying around the map. I like the bring the Expendable Anti-Tank rockets, they're so much fun to drop in, shoot off, and then change position. Or to give them to teammates.
Just got over 100 hours, finally getting the buddies to a decent level to fight the terminators. Had no idea I could just throw a grenade through the door... thank you sensei
i really hope they beef up heavy armor, otherwise everyone will just run light armor forever, taking away from the variety of builds. also, i wish they would make helmets unique to their armor classes, but can still be mixed up w any set. such as having light armor helmets give a slight increase to stamina regen, and heavy armor helmets give a slight resistance to crit dmg. then a light armor wearer can dawn a heavy helmet and get a little crit resistance. the variety of combinations would be crazy awesome! plz!!!!!
My favorite build lately for any of the 40 min automaton missions has been the sickle, laser cannon, shield pack, eagle airstrike, and rail cannon. My god the laser is so satisfying popping bigger bots with because a good 2 ish seconds beaming their eyes will kill them. Even works on hulks when you have no other option (bit hard to aim though). Also, if you’re brave enough you can swap out the shield pack for something else like the rover for more laser theme, but it saves my ass too much atm from all the flying rockets. ALSO the laser is great at taking out anything with a vent from a safe distance without alerting enemies at times (please play the laser cannon).
I love running slugger since it staggers devastators from range and a few headshots knocks em. Auto cannon is amazing for turret towers, tanks, and hulks. It can hit the factories from range too. I think orbital rail and laser are go to's for me, 380 made into the rotation last night and was awesome for base clearing.
Actually the best tool to take out bot outposts isn’t even one we can use. It’s meteor showers! Edit: Those meteors are very pro-democracy if they destroy bot outposts. Bonus points for not killing my teammates but that one’s optional.
I have been using the Jump pack for a while and I am addicted to that thing. Combine it with light armor and you zoom across the map like nobody's business. I like combining it with other stratagems that can kill outposts/nests easily and it makes for a fun combo to run around and take care of side objectives decently quick.
I find the default build that i go to for against either faction at any level is pretty flexible: EMS, Airstrike, Shield/Jetpack, and EAT-17. A bit of group clearing/hard hitting, a bit of CC, some survivability, and a way to get the whole group involved in anti-armor shenanigans.
Orbital Laser, Eagle Airstrike, Auto Cannon, additional when u have 4 is EMS-Mortar, combined with scorcher and stun nade is the best objectives-doing-and-surviving loadout for automatons on hellidive. Tried every combination while 150h
Eagle Rocket Pods are extremely useful for Automatons, One shot to Cannot Turrets, both Tank types. It cannot miss big targets, destroys Bot Factories. It being an Eagle Stratagem, when fully maxed out on the upgrade system it gives you 3 charges on a 2 minute cd.
The FS-38 Eradicator is a light armor with the Fortified perk. I just love bringing the autocannon to bot missions, but the updated laser cannon is pretty awesome too and it can kill Hulks if you focus the beam on their head. I've recently started using the 110MM Eagle Rocket Pods since I heard they're pretty effective against stationary or slow targets like tanks and sentry towers and i've had mixed results, sometimes it kills in a single salvo other times it doesn't which is kinda annoying.
Well, considering that you can do rocket pods back to back twice in 15 seconds, thats not even that much of an issue. Eagle re-arm time is still a bit less than the cooldown for an Orbital Rail Cannon (I think?) especially with the 20% CDR upgrade for eagle rearms!
0:30 "do not say fortified" "do not say fortified" "do not say fortified" "do not say fortified" "do not say fortified" Bruh... scout armour all the way
Ive been rocking the servo assisted armor, liberator penetrator, then airstrike, precision airstrike, AMR, and suppy pack. Liberator was quick and easy AR with medium pen Servo assisted to just yeet anything away Airstrike for buildings/towers, precision for tanks, AMR for hulk arms and patrols while out of sight, and supply pack bc it gives you more nades amd stims as well as ammo
I personally love running the Cannon + Ammo Pack, with 500k Airstrike, Gatling Turret for getting breathing room, and then picking something like the missile turret for dealing with air and mechs. My cannon makes quick work on striders and factories (As long as i can see the opening), and when my team runs rovers and shields with rifles we cover each others weaknesses. I do love the impact as it helps me deal with chargers till i unlock a medium armor penetrating shotgun. The Gatling turret can by me and my allies a moment of breathing room when trying to run up and yeet that bomb into the enemy bases. I also run scout armor (Light) so that i can get into position to lay down the hurt on bug or bots.
Man, I disagree with literally every part of this. Armor - Scout (Bots can't shoot you if they can't find you). Weapons - Slugger (works at every range, can one shot devastators, has the best sight in the game when first person aiming), Auto-cannon (kills hulks, tanks, cannons, striders, fabricators, all from long range) Strats - Eagle airstrike (fast, precise, deals with most problems), orbital laser (when you want to destroy a base without walking anywhere near it, or when there's a 100% call in time modifier and you don't want to miss), EMS mortar (keep those bots locked down so you can snipe them with the auto-cannon from cover, or just stealthily retreat to attack them from another angle).
Tried the jet pack with the heavy, explosive resistance armor and it’s pretty great! AT for dropships, eagle strike for outposts and 1 of Shield emplacement for missions where you hold positions, or laser orbital/creeping barrage/380 otherwise
2 different builds I run for bots (these are specialist builds and aren't intended for solo play except for maybe the first one if you know how to stealth): Saboteur build: Light armor with detection reduction, Scorcher/Plasma Shotgun (medium armour kills), Dagger pistol (trash mobs), Impact or stun (whichever suits your fancy), Spear, Eagle 110, Railcannon, Walking Barrage/380 barrage. Whole point of this build is to take out high value targets like fabricators, Tanks, Cannon towers, and other annoying bot structures (don't bother with dropships, too many and spear doesn't reliably hit the engine, use EAT or better yet Recoilless if you're looking to snipe those particular enemies). Spear is the bread and butter of the build with eagle and railcannon for when you're running low on ammo or you can't get a clear/high enough view to trigger the lock on sequence. Never stick around with this build, you take your target out from a distance and you move behind cover to reload and take down a new target. If you need to take a fight with the team or if you are detected, your primary should help get you out of dealing with most of the heavy stuff... just watch out for rocket devastators as this build doesn't have a good answer for them outside of killing them first. Anything heavier than them is a piece of cake for you though. Juggernaut build: Heavy armor with explosive damage reduction, primary is your preference but something with a lot of ammo is recommended, secondary (up to you), Impact nade (reserve for tanks [the turret part]/fabricators), Shield generator backpack, Shield relay, HMG turret/Patriot Mech (take mech if you insist on being very mobile), Arc Thrower. Whole point of this build is to clear out anything Medium to Light. Devastators and raiders are easy for you. Hulks are a little more problematic, but you can just shoot their arms and legs off with the HMG or spam the Arc thrower (which has a huge amount of armor pen). This build is all about surviving and laughing as your bullets rip through their metal hides. You're going to have a problem against tanks and taking out fabricators, but that's not your job. Your job is to make sure nothing bothers your team while you're drawing aggro/making a new scrapyard.
my loadout for autos is stratagems: 380, autocannon, airstrike and rail cannon primary: slugger the stun on devastators is amazing secondary: senator, if u run out of lives this can help with stealthing missions impact nades are the best for autos so i run that
i run spear on automatons (only when solo or duo) it can snipe objectives if it's having a good day, woke up on the right side of the bed, has the right angle, opens its eyes, and has high ground. Incredibly frustrating weapon to use, but when it works which is 50% never, 30% sort of, and 20% well. THEN its really good, u can snipe objectives w/o getting close. for airbases u can lock onto the ships w/ it from only one side, but if everything else is on cooldown and you don't wanna get close that's one way to do it. It's mostly really good at dealing w/ turrets (again sometimes) and fabricators, otherwise borderline useless. I run: 380, railcannon (500 kg), spear, orbital laser
My load out for bots any level is: •Light Gunner armor for the great mobility with extra padding for medium armor rating as a light armor •Jar-5 Dominator (because I don’t have the scorcher) •Grenade Pistol for fabricators and devastators •Impact grenades •Orbital Laser, Eagle Airstrike, Shield generator pack, Heavy Machine Gun for gunships
Went back to challenging to try out different set ups and I'm having a blast running the Shield, Diligence, Redeemer, Rail Gun, EAT and Eagle AS. Shits like playing a proper Terminator Game.
Diligence marksman rifle, the first one, not counter sniper. That thing is awesome against bots because you can kill most of them by shooting them in the face. It can kill everything short of Hulks and tanks. Even the rocket devastators die to 2-3 headshots.
don't kick/bully others for playing differently than you, ONLY curse under your breath (or not at all) (while muted) when they charge in the automaton base you are trying to stealth destroy
The Arc thrower is underrated against bots. You can kill entire conga lines of devastators with the lightning chain and spamming other targets like Hulks and towers with cover peeking or whipping it over cover.
Idk, personally everytime i run the arc thrower it feels like a weaker cousin to the flame thrower (and that was before the buff. But flame thrower really isnt that good against bots 😔). I dont really use it a lot though. Do you run any particular pack with it? Should a be hip firing or adsing more, idk?
@@wolfy2082 it takes practice. The hit detection works in a cone shape, it's narrow close to you and spreads out further away. The arc/lash/chain will spread out 180 degrees from whatever gets hit, so anything to the left, behind, or to the right of the target. When shooting it, imagine a cone projected in front of you, so often times you want to aim up and over your target, like the reticle won't even be on them, but the Arc will still hit. Against bots you can abuse this to shoot over rocks, walls, and craters, exposing just a sliver of yourself that they cannot hit but you can get them. I often take out tanks and tower cannons this way, just need solid cover between me and the target.
basically what I run. I swap out the shield for the supply backpack most of the time. (and I do love my heavy armor) but otherwise the same. I occasionally run auto cannon or laser cannon. but amr or rg are my usual go to's. (been trying to make the Heavy mg work but I need more practice... maybe a buff to the weapon in terms of aiming.)
My favorite armor buff is the Recom pings when you place markers. You can avoid like all the mobs even some on objective sites by stealthing right behind them. Ill go prone right behind a brood commander or charger if it means i can make it too a terminal without being seen. Spawns will come in already knowing where you are during most objectives , do like 20% of the maps enemies will have to be fought regardless.
So far my general Build is Orbital laser, AC-8, Eagle airstrike, and the Orbital Airburst for Stratagems. The Diligence DMR, P19 redeemer and G-6 frag for weapons, with the Democracy Protects armor. That 50% as well as no chest bleedout can and will save you more times than you think especially vs chargers when they send you flying. Yes sure you need to hit headshots to do will with the Diligence and can't pen medium armor-ish (some bugs have medium that you can pen because it's a light medium and the Berserker has a few spots that you can pen with white damage) but you can 3-4 shot tanks turrets and bot mortars in the back vent and 2 shot hulks in the face plate not to mention the cannon turrets and mortars as well as every bug hole and Automaton Fabricators (the latter you want to hit the upper side of the vent to bounce the shot inside). Sure you don't have a backpack slot because of it but that is rarely an issue because in return you can actually deal with the enemy's that cause issues (I'm looking at you rocket devastator and strider) Chargers can be a pain though but you will usually have a teammate to deal damage to that and if not the orbital laser works wonders to it and the Bile titan.
feel like this is a good place to shout out my loadout. that said i usially play with people who specialise loadout preference: -marksman rifle, diligence counter snipe. i mostly pick this over the normal diligence for the longer range scope (its not enough range unless you have to lead shots imo), but scorcher might be better for me when i unclock that. we'll see. -pistol, redeemer. much like how its shown in the video, the redeemer is an excellent "get off me button" if you dont have another close range option in your loadout -standard grenade, HE. mostly up to preference, this one. i like HE nades due to their ease of aiming into fabricators strategems of choice: -jump pack. i love this silly thing. at first i got this because i just wanted to jump in the shooting game, now i use it because its too much versatility to put away. its ability to reposition, evade, disengage, and even engage if you become familier with the enemy, oh and save time, is a lot of potential stuffed behind a 20 second cooldown. it also increases the efficiency of my other strategems by easily reaching high ground. -Grenade launcher. this thing is the versatility king. not only can you deal with every enemy exluding hulks thanks to the jump pack's mobility, but you also get 31 grenades for destroying stuff without needing a ammo backpack. that includes fabricators (at really good range if you get a good angle and some practice), bunker doors, terrain, list goes on. -HMG emplacement. this amazing thing covers for the weaknesses of the rest of the loadout, which are hulks and how little ammo the GL actually has. it has fire rate and punching power to stop any horde without a tank in it, as long as youre not flanked, ammo to last half its own cooldown, and such a low cooldown you can bring it to every other fight. it has two downsides however, positioning and tanks. positioning is greatly solved by the jump pack, letting you pace it in stupider places, and the tanks are greatly solverd by the jump pack too, and teammates. i usually change the final strategem based on mission or other circumstances. i mostly go to orbital railcannon, 500kg, orbital laser and other strategems focusing on elimenating tanks and hulks, though if we have enough teammates doing that i might pick something else that fits the situation, like mines if i feel silly.
having not unlocked the railgun yet I enjoy the grenade launcher on both bots and bug missions can easily take out bot factories with it if if the impact grenade isnt working, can take out walkers easily and can even take out towers
There is a light armor set with fortified, comes in the superstore and it looks very nice. I’m pretty sure there is medium one as well but I forgot to check, I just buy every armor set I see from the store as soon as I see them without reading it cause I need all the fashion
I'll shame anyone anytime, if they are using cluster bomb eagles. Cuz I'm sure as hell they enjoy watching their entire team doing the magic "Now you see me. Now you don't". Happens too many times.
With the new battle pass might I add my build - similar to yours but a few tweaks: LAS Sickle energy rifle - this thing shreds and has unlimited ammo, trades utility for reliability over the scorcher Precision strike - super short cooldown, massive damage, and pairs nicely with Stun grenade - if you're not taking out buildings with the precision strike, the stun grenade helps keep Hulks in place so you can drop the precision on them. Arc thrower - this thing wrecks everything. I try to switch up my stratagem weapon but I keep coming back to this because it can kill everything with enough shots, bot turret emplacements included Mortar sentry - sure it can be annoying, but this thing can kill buildings and is excellent for tanks. Well worth a look if you're keeping the bots at arms length
For team loadouts I still recommend carrying at least one recoiless to bring down dropships and some smoke to help everyone retreat and catch a breath.
been doing those bunker killin missions solo on helldive using the orbital laser. 1 charge per site, rest of the stratagems for w/e. I like the arc thrower but thats me. I've had success with the arc thrower being able to hit that magical one shot on anything but most of the time it just goes where it wants.
So I’ve found that the arc thrower is really good at dealing with automatons, you can kill scout striders with a few shots and can hit multiple targets at once, as well as the fact that you don’t need to reload
One of my go-to's for bots is my 'Scout' setup. Infiltrator armor set PLAS-1 or Slugger Machine pistol Smoke grenade Shield pack Railgun or AMR Orbital Railcannon Eagle Airstrike Sneak around map, toss airstrike, toss smoke and sneak away.
Great build but for me...swap out the armor choice for The Dynamo Armor. I find that to work best for me. Also it looks like the 212 Attack Battalion Clone Armor from Star Wars The Clone Wars.
Laser cannon is pretty darn solid against bots these days too. Absolutely melts tanks , tower turrets, and emplacements like mortars and anti-air if you can get at the vents. Chews through devestators at a range at which they cannot retaliate too, all with unlimited ammo. It has unlimited range as far as I am aware.
I honestly am becoming a huge fan of the arc lightning support weapon. Unlimited ammo with huge aoe chance deals wonderfully with the increase of smaller enemies but it's more a bug slayer than bot destroyer. :)
I'm a Legionnaire myself, the light armor speed makes bravely advancing in the opposite direction easier and the throw range allows you to take out outposts from a safe distance.
From my experience, if you figure out how to place the 500KG bomb correctly it's just better than the orbital rail cannon, if you upgrade the eagle strategems you can call it twice on a 90 second CD (without increased strategem cooldown) and it can 1 shot tanks, hulks, and clear out a group in a small area. It's harder to kill towers with it, but it can be done. The Expendable Anti Tank is also pretty good, it 2 shots tanks, can 1 shot hulks, and 1 shot from it and a couple railgun shots to the weak point of a tower will kill it (with a 70 second CD). Orbital rail cannon is definitely the most consistent at killing all of these things, you just get half as many uses with it on a longer cooldown than the 500KG bomb.
380 should fire faster 3 round bursts, centered tighly around a visible laser targetter so allies know where the shots are landing. Plus, have it have even a small amount of targetting
The EMS mortar has saved the day more times than I can count since it literally just turns the bots OFFLINE. You then just strat or pick them off with what ever heavies you have or flank them for vent critical point hits.
The Heavy Armors with Servo Assist are actually a nice option to. The AR and limb health seems to be enough to still survive rockets, though not as comfortably, but the increased throw range really helps with the diminished speed. You can get strats to more precise positions without being any closer which is great for not getting torn up by machine gun fire. The increased limb health feels like it's a lot more impactful against bots to as they will actually hit random parts of your body more often than the bugs who are pretty good at hitting your chest or head only. I've not survived a tank cannon direct hitting me in servo-assisted heavy but I also don't usually run shield pack, that likely could make a difference.
I just rush bot bases with 500kg 120mm, and orbital laser (wait few sec for cd) then eagle airstrike. Usually clears obj. Die for faster respawn if next obj is closer to ally.
I'd recommend the FS-38 Eradicator armor, it's a 550 speed light armor with the fortified passive. It will let you survive a tank shot, no promises regarding the impact after...

Shoot the big hinge on the legs. Takes no time at all to drop them.
ill have to try against bots. tried with bugs and had a terrible time, never using it again there
Im curious, how does it deal with tanks and canons? I've read that you can kill hulks' via the visor weakpoint but tanks and canons?
where my autocannon bros at
so surprised he didnt mention it. It can 2 shot hulks
Can you take out a drop ship with a auto cannon?
@@Gsuneow sadly no. maybe two people could
Auto chadnon
I run autocannon and impact grenades, I find it much easier to destroy an outpost with the autocannon at the right angle.
Simple, concise, detailed, and you gave explanations for everything you featured...what a video. Heres a like, you earned it for sure
Dome shield gets slept on@@Planterobeets
Auto cannon does not kill hulks. I have emptied clips at hulks head and does nothing.
@@BradenZiegelaar two shots on the red part of the head kills them with the autocannon
Ah so you're the guy finishing with 6 accidentals screaming to group up on you all game
“Watch those wrist rockets” - some guy who destroyed a lot of clankers
1:10 there's another medium armor set with "fortified" bonus - the Exterminator armor. My personal favourite in terms of looks.
Another note with the plasma rifle - it’s really good at dealing with robots with heat sinks on the back.
Smokes work really well against bots. Managed a full squad extract when we were at 0 respawns while being overrun on 7 by chucking a bunch of smoke airstrikes. Their aggression dropped a good amount
Funny note @Fallout Plays there IS a Light Armor with the Fortify passive.
Arc is massively underrated against bots.
Everybody just keeps sleeping on the arc thrower
arc is incredible against bugs too. it’s prob the most underrated support that’s secretly S. it can take down all but the Titan reliably, Chargers don’t take that long to kill
@@fringehouse 5-6 zaps reliably in the new update
It can kill tanks, too. It just takes a while, and you have to be careful not to get blasted by their main cannon when you peek. It will one-shot you regardless of your armor and even if you have a shield.
There is actually a light armor that has fortified that I main on automaton missions. It's called FS-38 Eradicator armor, but it was a superstore only set. Highly recommend it if you see it coming back into rotation, it's saved me many time while letting me keep a huge amount of stamina.
The recoilless rifle can bop hulks in one if you get them in the face, and deals a lot of damage with tanks and turrets, big recommend on that.
the fact you can only fire once though before a 5 sec reload.
Had no idea I could just throw a grenade through the door... thank you sensei
i really hope they beef up heavy armor, otherwise everyone will just run light armor forever, taking away from the variety of builds. also, i wish they would make helmets unique to their armor classes, but can still be mixed up w any set. such as having light armor helmets give a slight increase to stamina regen, and heavy armor helmets give a slight resistance to crit dmg. then a light armor wearer can dawn a heavy helmet and get a little crit resistance. the variety of combinations would be crazy awesome! plz!!!!!
Additional note on using the AMR
the scope is misaligned. The shot actually goes a little high and very slightly left of center sight
I love the impact nade but I've really been struggling with the bot outposts because of it. Great tip on chucking one into an open door!
There was also a Light armor that had the 50% explosive dmg reduction stat on the superstore. I used my saved credits to grab that one.
Nice to see the AMR getting some love. I’ve been using this lately against the bots and having a lot of success with it
I find the default build that i go to for against either faction at any level is pretty flexible: EMS, Airstrike, Shield/Jetpack, and EAT-17. A bit of group clearing/hard hitting, a bit of CC, some survivability, and a way to get the whole group involved in anti-armor shenanigans.
I've never really used the AMR but I always use the autocannon, does the AMR have any significant advantages?
No backpack required, reload on the move
I've definitely had moments where i took my hands off the keyboard assuming i was dead but was protected by democracy.
@@theSatoHmm you're right, I'm usually really stingy with my stratagems but I guess there's no point in holding onto them
0:30 "do not say fortified" "do not say fortified" "do not say fortified" "do not say fortified" "do not say fortified" Bruh... scout armour all the way
Happy to see you covering helldivers--its a great time!
Ive been rocking the servo assisted armor, liberator penetrator, then airstrike, precision airstrike, AMR, and suppy pack.
Liberator was quick and easy AR with medium pen
Servo assisted to just yeet anything away
Airstrike for buildings/towers, precision for tanks, AMR for hulk arms and patrols while out of sight, and supply pack bc it gives you more nades amd stims as well as ammo
Orbital laser fucks up Automaton bases accurately better than the HE barrage.
Man, I disagree with literally every part of this.
Armor - Scout (Bots can't shoot you if they can't find you).
Weapons - Slugger (works at every range, can one shot devastators, has the best sight in the game when first person aiming), Auto-cannon (kills hulks, tanks, cannons, striders, fabricators, all from long range)
Strats - Eagle airstrike (fast, precise, deals with most problems), orbital laser (when you want to destroy a base without walking anywhere near it, or when there's a 100% call in time modifier and you don't want to miss), EMS mortar (keep those bots locked down so you can snipe them with the auto-cannon from cover, or just stealthily retreat to attack them from another angle).
Tried the jet pack with the heavy, explosive resistance armor and it’s pretty great! AT for dropships, eagle strike for outposts and 1 of Shield emplacement for missions where you hold positions, or laser orbital/creeping barrage/380 otherwise
2 different builds I run for bots (these are specialist builds and aren't intended for solo play except for maybe the first one if you know how to stealth):
Saboteur build: Light armor with detection reduction, Scorcher/Plasma Shotgun (medium armour kills), Dagger pistol (trash mobs), Impact or stun (whichever suits your fancy), Spear, Eagle 110, Railcannon, Walking Barrage/380 barrage.
Your job is to make sure nothing bothers your team while you're drawing aggro/making a new scrapyard.
my loadout for autos is
stratagems: 380, autocannon, airstrike and rail cannon
primary: slugger the stun on devastators is amazing
secondary: senator, if u run out of lives this can help with stealthing missions
impact nades are the best for autos so i run that
You've quickly become my favorite channel for HD content. Keep it up.
i run spear on automatons (only when solo or duo) it can snipe objectives if it's having a good day, woke up on the right side of the bed, has the right angle, opens its eyes, and has high ground.
I run:
380, railcannon (500 kg), spear, orbital laser
My load out for bots any level is:
•Light Gunner armor for the great mobility with extra padding for medium armor rating as a light armor
•Jar-5 Dominator (because I don’t have the scorcher)
•Grenade Pistol for fabricators and devastators
•Impact grenades
•Orbital Laser, Eagle Airstrike, Shield generator pack, Heavy Machine Gun for gunships
Orbital Rail: "It doesn't miss..."
POV: Your ADHD orbital rail sees a strider in the next grid zone instead of the tank you threw the beacon on.
Went back to challenging to try out different set ups and I'm having a blast running the Shield, Diligence, Redeemer, Rail Gun, EAT and Eagle AS. Shits like playing a proper Terminator Game.
‘Plas-1 Scorcher’ homie that thing is three weeks away for me, try again.
Diligence marksman rifle, the first one, not counter sniper. That thing is awesome against bots because you can kill most of them by shooting them in the face. It can kill everything short of Hulks and tanks. Even the rocket devastators die to 2-3 headshots.
Slugger is an option, too
don't kick/bully others for playing differently than you, ONLY curse under your breath (or not at all) (while muted) when they charge in the automaton base you are trying to stealth destroy
I've been loving the orbital gatling and orbital airburst strike. The cooldown is so short and they absolutly shred anything thats not a tank or hulk.
1:20 I think certain perks are meant to mainly be on certain armors, you have to weigh the trade off
The Arc thrower is underrated against bots.
I unlocked the walker and now its my defensive stratagem of choice. I know its a glass cannon but for holding ground it's been great for me.
Good stuff! and definitely looking forward to the new kit coming this week and beyond.
basically what I run.
There is a fortified armor set for light. It looks like imperial scout trooper armor on Endor.
I love that 380 barrage, democracy rains down when you throw it
I know AMR and Railgun are better than EATs.... but dang if slinging EATs at hulks, factories, and towers on a night mission doesn't feel incredible
Sure you don't have a backpack slot because of it but that is rarely an issue because in return you can actually deal with the enemy's that cause issues (I'm looking at you rocket devastator and strider) Chargers can be a pain though but you will usually have a teammate to deal damage to that and if not the orbital laser works wonders to it and the Bile titan.
feel like this is a good place to shout out my loadout. that said i usially play with people who specialise
loadout preference:
-marksman rifle, diligence counter snipe. i mostly pick this over the normal diligence for the longer range scope (its not enough range unless you have to lead shots imo), but scorcher might be better for me when i unclock that. we'll see.
-pistol, redeemer. much like how its shown in the video, the redeemer is an excellent "get off me button" if you dont have another close range option in your loadout
-standard grenade, HE. mostly up to preference, this one. i like HE nades due to their ease of aiming into fabricators
strategems of choice:
-jump pack. i love this silly thing. at first i got this because i just wanted to jump in the shooting game, now i use it because its too much versatility to put away. its ability to reposition, evade, disengage, and even engage if you become familier with the enemy, oh and save time, is a lot of potential stuffed behind a 20 second cooldown. it also increases the efficiency of my other strategems by easily reaching high ground.
I hella enjoy the hand-held Autocannon. Bonks big and small bots very nicely
Anyone have good tips for defense missions? Since the update just feels like we get over ran. Just way too many high level mobs at once.
having not unlocked the railgun yet I enjoy the grenade launcher on both bots and bug missions
can easily take out bot factories with it if if the impact grenade isnt working, can take out walkers easily and can even take out towers
Happens too many times.
padded heavy armor is better than fortified heavy armor just becuase its more versatile using padded armor
B24 is back right now for 2 days
With the new battle pass might I add my build - similar to yours but a few tweaks:
LAS Sickle energy rifle - this thing shreds and has unlimited ammo, trades utility for reliability over the scorcher
Precision strike - super short cooldown, massive damage, and pairs nicely with
Stun grenade - if you're not taking out buildings with the precision strike, the stun grenade helps keep Hulks in place so you can drop the precision on them.
Arc thrower - this thing wrecks everything. I try to switch up my stratagem weapon but I keep coming back to this because it can kill everything with enough shots, bot turret emplacements included
Mortar sentry - sure it can be annoying, but this thing can kill buildings and is excellent for tanks. Well worth a look if you're keeping the bots at arms length
For team loadouts I still recommend carrying at least one recoiless to bring down dropships and some smoke to help everyone retreat and catch a breath.
My favorite armor set is Light Gunner. Which has the weight of light armor, but the protection of a medium set. Also from the store unfortunately.
Also looks like ncr ranger armor so plus 10 for looks
been doing those bunker killin missions solo on helldive using the orbital laser.
Btw Super credits can be found in mission, just look for minor objectives :D Just in case anyone didn't know that.
One of my go-to's for bots is my 'Scout' setup.
Infiltrator armor set
PLAS-1 or Slugger
Machine pistol
Smoke grenade
Shield pack
Railgun or AMR
Orbital Railcannon
Eagle Airstrike
Sneak around map, toss airstrike, toss smoke and sneak away.
Great build but for me...swap out the armor choice for The Dynamo Armor.
I find that to work best for me. Also it looks like the 212 Attack Battalion Clone Armor from Star Wars The Clone Wars.
with impact grenades just aim so that the tiny dot is on the bottom lip of the bot machine, and stand mostly in front, works most of the time
Laser cannon is pretty darn solid against bots these days too. Absolutely melts tanks , tower turrets, and emplacements like mortars and anti-air if you can get at the vents. Chews through devestators at a range at which they cannot retaliate too, all with unlimited ammo. It has unlimited range as far as I am aware.
Thank you! 80 hours in and I never knew you could destroy fabs with a well timed nade through the open door!?! That’s worth a sub in itself. 👍
I never go in a mission without the Eagle 500kg and the Guard Dog Rover
Scout armor is goated. Get up the a base throw in an eagle and an orbital and dip. Rinse repeat. They never know you're there.
Something REALLY fun I like to do with my buddies is have one person in a mech and the other 2 on top with arc throwers and shields just blasting
I’ve had some ice recently had a lot of success with jump pack and good positioning
I’ve been looking for a reason to use the anti-materiél rifle AND a reliable build for the automatons. Thank you Fallout
you make this look very easy. I might need some more pointers, to not get blown up by the onslaught of robots always swarming me
I just rush bot bases with 500kg 120mm, and orbital laser (wait few sec for cd) then eagle airstrike. Usually clears obj.
Die for faster respawn if next obj is closer to ally.
0:48 Fallout im pretty sure I got like 1 or 2 other Med armors that have that, and one Light. a lot of armors have that passive
I'd recommend the FS-38 Eradicator armor, it's a 550 speed light armor with the fortified passive. It will let you survive a tank shot, no promises regarding the impact after...
